I’m not even really into rap all that much but I keep coming back to this channel because these guys have such good chemistry.
lol, their fights are a meme in their community
The first list is absolutely atrocious 😂😂
Ik, they missing total xanarchy
It’s a totally fine subjective list but the fact that it’s by a music publication- who should be objective- it’s insane.
@@elstovon that makes no sense. You can't have objective facts based on things that are totally opinionated
@@inanimatemist8610 Mr. Semantics is here to debate well established terms. If you want to get nitty gritty with me what I mean by “objective” in this context is what is most respected, loved, and impactful to the majority of hip hop fans. So it’s subjectivity on a mass level I suppose? But since you as an individual don’t necessarily agree with what most people think is best it goes from being your subjective opinion to your objective opinion. Ya dig?
its not
Its a crime to have a top 10 lyrics list without MF DOOM in it
For you yes
@@tevingmusiclover for everyone, yes
@@ScarredCore1 I don’t listen to him so much he is not awful but if folks aren’t hip hop fans then no just saying
@@tevingmusiclover for me he is top 10 of all time
@@tevingmusiclover it has nothing to do with whether or not you’re a hiphop fan. You don’t need to enjoy hiphop music to live his witty wordplay and lyricism. Many of his most popular lyrics are very well known even amongst non hiphop fans.
Nah bro, Velvet Underground album cover is Iconic, SImple and most recognized. Definitely best of all time
Can’t believe Donda isn’t on the top 10 album covers OAT
IK RIGHT! I was also thinking about Dean Blunts “Black Metal” because that was revolutionary. Both amazing.
😕It’s just a black cover, dude.
While the first list is actual dog, IYRTITL is Drake's best album.
unfortunately not, Drake's best ever is Nothing was the Same followed by Take Care then IYRTITL. the list is atrocious though
Yeah that one part of the list is not bad.
What makes your list less actual dog may I ask
nah, it wasn't that bad. I loved the inclusion of Whack World personally.
@@sidthetallkid take care is worse than iyrtitl, and I had to looks past the nostalgia I felt for take care to really understand that iyrtitl is just better in every way
The Velvet Underground and Nico cover is a top 5 album cover bro cmon.
I feel like the slot of 'worst rapper' can't just be someone who sucks, they need to be people that make rap look worse by their presence. Adam Calhoun, Tekashi, and people like that deserve that slot
Tom MacDonald, Lil Xan, Lil Peep, Drake, etc should be in the top 10 worst
@@extraterrestrial8888 drake..
nah tekashi has hits
@@extraterrestrial8888 Lil Peep is fire wdym
@@moodyginger this is a good joke. I like this joke you have just made.
The Velvet Underground cover is amazing, simple, memorable, striking, well drawn, has the awesome peel slowly and see. 10/10 cover from a 10/10 band. TDSITM should have been 1 though
They disrespected vu so badly☠️
@@genuineglee240 ong it kind of hurt me💀vu is goated
They don't know about VU, that's why they dissed it
They don’t know what they’re talking about. Warhol knew what he was doing with the cover
Its a basic ass cover tho lmao do u hear yourselves
You could argue the London Calling cover that was a homage to the Elvis artwork has become more iconic than the original
I think cream being there isn’t a horrendous take given the two verses in there are fantastic. I don’t think most people realize that the song is really about how the constant obsession over money ruined their lives
It's literally in the title
@@-Scrapper- that doesn’t mean people actually bother listening to what they’re saying. for all people know they hear the chorus and assume it’s just them talking about the grind and bragging about making money
@@natecortese1189 Fun fact: Stan is about a stan despite the sampled chorus
@@-Scrapper- that’s a completely different example but ok. the chorus isn’t the focal point of stan, but it is of c.r.e.a.m. Literally all I’m saying is that most people don’t actually bother to understand what the message of the song is, not if it’s obvious or not

it would be cool to see you guys re-do some of these lists or correct them in another video
Refreshing content from you guys always! LETS GO
Father Time is a top 10. Like for real. I used to think Heart Part 5 was better, but then I find myself relistening to Father Time more often than Heart Part 5
i've been thinking bout that too, definitelt top 5 on mmatbs
imo its the best song on mmatbs
The heart part 5 is still better in lyricism just cause you return to a track doesn't mean that its better
@@Chandiwila999 well its just better to them in their opinion
replay value doesn't necessarily indicate how much "better" a song is, I play the heart part 5 rarely but its a brilliant political statement about humanity as a whole, from all angles and is a brilliant addition for 'the heart' series. Father Time on the other hand is a great song that focuses on a great topic but doesn't cover just as much raw content as the heart part 5 and for that reason doesn't interest me as much, especially as someone who luckily doesn't suffer from 'daddy issues'
Always love these videos and they have put me on so much good music. Please don’t stop making content.
Nah being okay with abbey road on the basis of how iconic it is but going after Velvet Underground And Nico for being there on the list is borderline criminal. It’s one of the most iconic album covers of one of, if not the most underrated and influential rock albums smh
album covers list was cool. i love hip hop but love when u guys delve into other genres as well
Ain't no way y'all are making fun of The Velvet Underground and Nico cover 😭😭😭
Another banger from the NFR boys. Why does NFR always make bangers
The velvet underground one is absolutely classic, it's weird, out there, strange and weird.
It encapsulates the weird feel of that album so well and is itself a brilliant piece of art
The Patti Smith album cover pushes so much strength and power immediately. Its simple but encapsulates her immediate energy so much.
I feel like Unknown Pleasures should be there as well as the clash instead of elvis cause its way cooler
Exactly, elvis presley makes sense but london calling is really what makes the cover so iconic and memorable
Yeah but the peeling is goofy af. I'd put nevermind or ksg there
@RetardedHamster I think it seems corny by now but in the time it was such a gross image contrasted to the heavy censorship and clean imagery of the 60s. It compliments the album which again, in a time of clean, friendly music. TVU were such a visceral, noisy, grim band. Listen to Heroin as an example.
Soul in Stereo’s list screams “I am a middle aged hip hop purist and I hate this new mumble rap generation”
yeah lol
Which is what makes Eazy's placement infinitely more baffling
Where is Thriller in terms of best album covers. It’s so iconic as well. Or Mrs Lauryn Hill miseducation

Love that Michigan quarter zip 🔥🔥
The album cover one is great, especially with the velvet underground one at number 1, the art is made by andy warhol which if you know art he is one of the most iconic persons to have lived, he was envolved with the art to help the band sell more copies. The Elvis Presily one is also very great if you enjoy The Clash which took all the inspiration from that cover. The Led Zeppelin one is also deffinently worth of the list, when the album came out nobody knew who they were and the only thing which grabbed new listeners was the album art!
Yeah I think it's important to realize that an iconic album cover IS a great album cover. Album covers are literally iconography.
Do a video of best underground albums or best underground artist!!!
That Barter 6 went triple platinum where I’m from.
Disagree with you guys thoughts on the Album covers I thought the velvet underground banana album cover was brilliant, oddly peculiar & simplistic in the best way imaginable; as well as creative. I would argue London Calling by the clash should be on here.

The goofiest list was some random publication and their "Best albums of 2020" list which had a yeat album at like #7 or something and Whole Lotta Red at #1, that's bold to say the least
Another NFR W vid
Scorpion Eyes is arguably a top 3 hip hop album of last year. 100% deserves to be on the list for top 10 of last year. The way Lonnie raps on that album is by far the most heartbreaking I’ve ever heard and it’s lyricism is spectacular. “Stop wrapping my life” might be the best intro on a rap album for the decade, it or melt sessions. Its unreasonably underrated and I highly recommend it.

15:50 No way they said Kanye West on Gold Digger is top ten lyrics ever spit. Gold Digger is a good song, but its not even the best on Late Registration, let alone Kanye's other albums, although I strongly believe Late Registration is his best album. Gold Digger itself I personally don't listen to it for Kanye's lyrics, but more so for the sampling and overall sound of the track. I don't think Gold Digger would even make a top 100 for this.

Bro the Knees weak arms are heavy.. may rhyme elementary level stuff but that doesnt matter when the verse, hell the bar alone, paints such a vivid image and sets the exact tone it needs to in the perfect way, making you feel like you are the person he’s talking about. Just because the last words of the line may seem(or even are) predictable or simple doesn’t make the bar elementary, quite on the contrary acutally - it makes it even more impressive that “simple” rhymes are being used to make a masterful and flawless song with incredible literary value, especially with a goofy line like mom’s spaghetti. Because even tho it is funny it makes sense in the context and brings the subject closer to the listener and makes it much more realistic with such a particular detail (especiallyin the context of the movie). 16:11

Idk if I would put young Thug on worst of all times. I can't get into his music at all. I don't think it's an "old head" thing, I just get annoyed most of the time he starts rapping/singing. His voice just annoys me. Same with Future. Not an old head thing, cuz I fuck with Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Trippie Redd, NBA Youngboy, NLE Choppa....Thugga just doesn't do it for me. the smaller one is so so so wrong about the album cover list. the velvet underground cover is genius and a warhol orignal. Tounge-in-cheek, crisp, sexy, and inventive. the jarring nature of nevermind is what makes so good. patti smith so high is debatable but mapplethorpe is a great photographer and esp juxaposed against how blondie was marketed i think its a great cover. abby road over revolver and rubber soul is insane. dark side of the moon is WAY too overrated and the biggie cover wouldnt close to my top ten. cyndi's is cool but should go. 50/50 on the elvis cover, the clash's pastiche of it is way better.
