I swear...it never get's old....I could watch you make furniture or anything all day.
Same here.
It never gets old!
Beautiful! The use of gravity as an aid while chainsaw milling was brilliant. I had not seen anyone do that before.
I had all kinds of tricks back then
Love that side board. I think it's very cool that you did everything from cutting the tree, to finishing the final product. I am sure you get a lot of satisfaction from that. Thanks for a great video.
It's amazing how much you have accomplished during these five years. Thanks for running this commercial featuring your tutorial. My how things have changed since "it used to be a tree".
I like the way the front panels give the illusion of being lit up as if glowing from within the walnut. Stunning!
I almost thought Matt was going to leave the bottom brace a live edge 😂
Matt, your workmanship, joinery styles, patience and attention to detail is second to none!
Your final products are astonishing!!
So love watching your builds like this.
Thank you!
I just realized how long I’ve been watching you without commenting. I remember all of this. Thanks for sharing what you do.
All of that saw dust waste really brings home how efficient a bandsaw mill is.
So funny--a video back when Matt used to build furniture. I get it, it helps to remind yourself what you love to do. Remodeling a house, building a barn, these are things you HAVE to do. But building furniture is what you LOVE to do.
The grain on the doors and end panels- wow. Awesome job!
My grandparents had magnificent timber dresser. When time for them to move to a smaller place we found that the only screws in it were those retaining the brass door & draw furniture. There a handful of wedged & dowelled joints, and no glue. Sadly as we started to take it apart we also found it was full of wood worm, many of the larger timbers had been reduced to thin shells which meant that it was only fit for burning. I really hope you sideboard doesn't suffer a similar fate many decades down the line.
That must be so rewarding. From felling the tree to all the way finished product. Absolute stunning sideboard.
In addition to being a great woodworker you are very talented in many other disciplines. I appreciate you taking the time to record your various projects and put them on CZcams.
Thank you very much!
That is a great project. The fact that the panels are one piece makes it even better.
Stunning piece, the panels on the doors, wow. Beautiful 😊
Watching you build furniture is a pleasure to watch each & every time. I find it so relaxing in my old age as I think of what my body used to let me do before I was forced to retire 36 years ago at the age of 47 because of my disabilities. Thanks for sharing mate. Cheers, Don from South Australia.
as someone who bought the lessons and followed them to build one of these for myself, i can honestly say they are worth every penny. very well done with clear explanations and step by step instruction.
Wow, I can't believe that was made in 16 minutes and 49 seconds from dropping the tree to sitting in the dining room. Now THAT'S talent.
I don't remember any vids on this one. I may have to go into the wayback machine and find them/it.
Stunning work, Matt.
The most Cremonaesque piece ever! Absolutely beautiful! Nice work!
tried googling Cremonaesque, no dice. please explain.
So good, and so satisfying. The last line says it all... "This used to be a tree."
Matthew, you are such a talented person and every time I watch you working on one of your projects I see another aspect of your talent. Beautiful cabinet and I doubt I will see another like it. Don't stop showing all your talents and as always, your better half gives us a perfect video.
Thank you!
I'm gonna say this is an oldie but goodie. Stay safe.
Best 16 minutes I spent today. Thanks Matt.
Absolutely flawless dedication making this. It looks amazing and cant even fathom the amount of hours you put into this piece, or what it would cost to have one of these made for purchase based off that
Amazing craftmanship and beautiful wood. I always love when people do the ASMR style build videos. Especially when it is from log to finished product.
Instant family heirloom. Such a besutiful piece!
I enjoy watching you cut slabs on the sawmill and I enjoy watching your wood working projects but when you combine both, it’s absolutely amazing!
The turkey and cherry pie are a close 2nd though 😂
Love seeing the "from tree to treasure" videos!
I discovered you after you’d already built your saw mill. Very cool to see how far you’ve come from the chainsaw mill days. Thanks for throwing this edit together. Truly inspiring stuff!
It's an outstanding piece, like all the furniture you've made!!!
I've only ever watched you saw up stuff and then throw water all over it before. This was a whole new world. I've watched blokes makes wood and epoxy tables which can be amazing, but watching the skill involved in making that sideboard from start to finish was fascinating. Must be very satisfying. I did miss the banter of the log wrestling videos though.
That is one beautiful piece of furniture! Great craftmanship 👍👍👍. So good to see it from felling to furniture.
Just started the video but... wow this must be some old wood as it not only predates your current house but the fact you are using an Alaskan sawmill really dates it.
You are so lucky to have so much beautiful Walnut in North America. Yes we can still buy it in Europe, but its super expensive, and it seems you keep the best for yourselves, and why wouldn't you.
But hey, we have the English Oak.
Not only a gorgeous sideboard, but also not one, not two, but three pies!
What a beautiful piece of artwork !!
Start to finish
loved the video
I can't believe the precise quality.
I like you building on your property
I like your projects
Then milling the wood is interesting.
I enjoy your videos
I would hate to see you burn yourself out.
I am looking forward to seeing this little gray haired old man still doing a job he loves.
Always love family and friends, your wood working, and save a little for us on youtube.
Can’t wait to see what beauty you create.
Beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful!
Start to finish! Thank you for sharing! 👍
Stunning! That's a beautiful piece!
Absolutely gorgeous, from tree to sideboard
That was really nice to see the entire process from the tree trunks, to slabs to actually seeing a beautiful finished product.
What a great way to made use of all that beautiful wood, especially those front panels.
A wonderful visit to the past. Really beautiful.
Amazing piece! AND Amazing editing! This was great to see the whole project from tree to placement. Well done.

Such a talented guy!
Beautiful piece! Great camera work and I like the format!
The finish color turned out great.
Thank you for bringing us into your world. Quite the vision you have. Peace
Stunning
Great work Matt!!
Wow! Chainsaw milling is hard work! After years of watching logs milled on the bandsaw mill, the contrast is extreme. Size really isn't the first motivation for the bandsaw mill.
It's a lovely result and I really enjoyed watching this tree-to-furniture sequence. Thank you, @mcremona!
Stunning material and craftsmanship, superb.
How incredibly satisfying!
That's a very nice piece of furniture Matt. I like that a lot.
You do fine work, sir.
Great craftsmanship, such a stunning piece. Be very proud of it.
You make it look so easy, I love it. Please keep doing what you do, I will be very watching.
You have come so far in just 8 years!
Simply beautiful

That's one beautiful piece of furniture.
You're killing it!
Beautiful piece of art ❤
Fascinating to see it from start to finish. Wish there were more content like this although it’d take years in the making. Great job Matt.
I have at least of dozen of these videos I could do :)
Good Afternoon Cremona Family.
