I go to Westport quite often. Truly beautiful area! The homes are really well maintained, seems like a nice place to raise a family and I love their beach!
Westport is a beautiful town. All you need to live there is a net worth of at least $2mil plus huge cash flow to pay for taxes and a desire to live among a bunch of tree hugging left wingers who won't give you the time of day unless you are somebody or are well connected. I lived in Weston, just north of Westport which in its own way was even snootier and in many ways prettier. Your best bet if you want to move to either town is to become a movie star, well known author or CEO of a major corporation. You will then be loved.

Your assessment of the town and most of Fairfield county is 💯 spot on. Lovely place to live IF you fit in and agree with all of the ‘locals’ politics. If you don’t, then they are the most unwelcoming people you could ever encounter (Wilton native here). Hopefully, now that people are fleeing CT em masse, things shake up a bit. We’ll see…
