- I got a text from someone local saying their old lawn care company disappeared on them and they needed some help getting the yard back into shape. I was happy to quote this job, but unfortunately couldn't commit to maintaining it regularly due to the sheer number of obstacles and string trimming required.

Ventrac, please get this guy a flail mower and power rake. He is doing a great job showcasing your equipment. Help him to expand his business and show more of what your equipment can do!
Wait, youre telling me people actually live there? Wow. The amount of stuff all over the yard is crazy to me, buried by grass.
I thought the same. I think I know why their last lawn guy gave up!
Have to much trash in the yard
Great job and video, thanks for sharing. Hope you're well, mate!
it's no guess why their lawn guy quit. now i understand your "every thing moved, it costs extra" policy
Imagine if you went to mow someone’s yard and you go to scope it out and there is dog shit everywhere!
I don't think there's any wondering why the previous company didn't want this one anymore!
Good job even though there was a lot of obstacles to get around. Homeowner needs to rid yard of junk.
It’s called laziness pure and simple. I understand if some people can’t physically mow their lawn do to limitations but junk and debris which you threw about your lawn is inexcusable…..I would charge extra for all that extra work
I've had 3 calls in the last two weeks for long lawns. They look so good when they are done.
@maruiacancerc I am praying for you
I’m pretty sure I’ve never witnessed anyone cut a residential lawn with a ventrac and a 72” deck before lol nice work
@coppercreekcuts let’s see them LED headlights in action sometime please
LOL it was a first for me as well! :D
I totally understand there are many reasons why people may be unable to keep up on yard work. What I don’t understand is all of the debris, random objects, junk and garbage in these yards. Disgusting.
The wind is definitely not the reason for all the junk in this yard@@kericue2065
@@kericue2065Did the wind blow dog crates and cinder blocks into your yard?
@@purplesocks5984 why are you so defensive and bitter about a comment ? You need to get a life. Go do something fun and productive. Have a nice day and don't worry about it.
@@kericue2065 I was asking a simple question in response to your stupid statement that you deleted. Sheesh, you sound like a real ball of fun.
You should have used a push mower for that residential property, you're just being lazy. LMAO. I first thought the Ventrac was going to be overkill, until I saw how large the property actually was, it really didn't show it in the initial walk. It did a great job. Good to see you mowing, trimming and edging again. Keep up the great work.
LOL I'll admit it 100%. You completely had me going for the first sentence!😂
With the amount of Xtra stuff around the yard I can kinda understand them abandoning them. Looks like the Ventrac did a nice job. Thanks for the video.
The Ventrac does a sweet job. A lot of mower mines in that yard. Neat and clean cuts with very little mulch.
Great job Brad, way to come in and save the day. Everyone around that house is very grateful. You’re a tremendous asset to your community, keep up the great work!
Bit of a small space for such a fine mower. I love the cut it makes. The mower is more golf course friendly or pastures and industrial lawns.
Agreed! My reasoning was 1-make a fun video, 2-test out what that deck did in tall grass with a mulch kit installed, 3-prevent discharge/overspray/possible damage from using my zero turn, which does have a chute blocker but wouldn't hold itself shut with all these clippings (it is spring loaded so too many clippings push it open).
@@CopperCreekCuts Love the mower
Their mailbox says it all. Your lucky you didn’t get hurt. 😮
Woohoo Brad, you’ve passed the 400K subscribers mark xx
I think I can understand why the last lawn guy quit this client... Too much junk.
It's no wonder the former lawn guy abandoned these folks. I guess no one ever told them that lawn people do not clean up a messy place, they need someone else hired to do that if they can't clean it themselves. Leaving bricks, cement blocks and 4x4's hidden in the lawn is asking the lawn guy to have his very expensive equipment ruined. You did them a good turn and did a good job.
The Ventrac did a great job. Cut the lawn cleanly, and very little clippings left-great mulching. I get why such a slow cut, but omgosh! I HAD to speed that up, lol.
I was watching it back in the editor and was like...man this is slow! :D But since I usually do a speedy version and a long version, I just kept it and figured the 2x button would be everyone's friend on this one! :D
I love all of your videos and also let's take a moment to appreciate how much effort. You? Put into these videos not only that but you're just a great Lawn care person God bless you.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Motorcycles, swing set, bike, etc. says young people live in that house. Too bad the parents didn’t teach them how to clean. Now we all know why the other lawn companies bowed out. You are to be congratulated Brad - another star in your crown.
You must have a lot of patience with people like this, I would've probably flipped out 😂😂😂
perfect video to wake up to and watch while i’m working! thanks brad!
What beautiful cut quality. Mulching is the best. VenTrac baby! 💯💯💯
Super Good work lawn you the best te famely te House thans te video Top 🚜🌾🌿🚚😎🌞🍹🎧💯🌻👋
Keep up the good work…always enjoy your videos
Great job as always love the Ventrac and impressed with the battery trimmer 👍
Great video! Really enjoyed watching you on the Ventrac!
That ventral did a beautiful job of mowing that tall grass. Yes ain’t no puzzle why the lawn guy quit…
Great video. You really have think of your equipment with property likes these .
It is so much better. They sure need to get rid of the junk and trash.
They could have at least cleaned up for you. Now i see why the other company quit. That deck on the Ventrac does a really nice job with a clean cut.
random glass table top on the ground under a bush, like who are these people
Oh someone is going to mow our lawn. Let’s make sure there is a ton of crap for the mower to kill his equipment on.
Looks fantastic. ❤
Excellent job ❤👏👏👏
Thank you for helping there. Great job.
That mower on the ventrac does an amazing job. If if wasn't for 2 reasons, I'd have one: money and necessity. 😅 Nice work!
You are a man of your word....you finished the job. Lawn men can only make money if the job can be done with some efficiency. This property owner needs to clean up all the debris and construction items if they expect anyone to stick with them.
What would someone pay in Northeast Florida to clean up such an overgrown yard with so much debris in the way? You did a great job. I think you should help the homeowner set the things he wants to keep in one pile and put the things he wants to haul to the dump in a separate pile. And when you finish, haul both piles to the dump. I would like to know how much time you spent from the start of the job to being completely finished and loaded all the equipment back on the trailer. It looks like someone in the family could have been there to move things that were good out of your way. I am a long time subscriber from the Low Country in South Carolina. It will be near 100* tomorrow here and very muggy. Keep up the good work, I enjoy all your videos
Thx for the long content.
Michael Costa is gonna flip his lid…
How do you like your 2000? I have a 60 inch 2000, a 52 inch 3000, and just picked up my new 60 inch 6000 5 days ago. I absolutely love toro. Ignore all the jackasses saying dumb shit on your videos. They obviously have never done this type of work before
I really like the 2000! The throttle on it is starting to go loose which stinks, I have to keep my hand on it so it stays at the top end, otherwise it backs off the tiniest bit and makes a difference in the tall stuff. I finally popped the panel off the other day and looks like I need a whole assembly, I can't just tighten a bolt like on the Bobcat. Oh well. If that's the only thing broken in this long I am happy! Sometimes on the TALL stuff the engine gets it done but I have to go slow. Those are really the only times I wish I had a 4000. But cheaper and less fuel to run the 2000, so I think overall I would do it again. No fuel gauge is dumb but since I'm solo I don't mow enough to burn a whole tank a day, so I just refill every morning and not an issue.
@@CopperCreekCuts I hate the no fuel gauge on my 2000! So stupid. However In the future if you upgrade you can get the same lower hp motors on the 4000 so you can save fuel still. However I’d recommend going for the 5000 because the 5000 offers those lower hp motors as well but everything on it is just way better. Sucks to hear about the throttle I had a Ferris is2200 that did that it was so annoying. I was able to tighten it up tho. None of my toros have had this issue thankfully
Up here we call that a "pig dog trash house"!
Hey Brad. The mower you used in this video is WAY too small. Doesn't Mack or Peterbilt make something more appropriate for this job? 😂😂😂
You got a real life laugh out loud on this one! 😂
Job well done Brad. Owner needs a big dumpster and clean the place up while they can find the debris and trash and discarded junk after you mowed and weed whacked. Place looks good for what you did but owner needs to do his part or hire someone to throw the junk out.
Great work - what a difference.
That was crazy.
Is that Fred Sanford's home and yard?
good job
I love tall grass mows
Man there is a whole lot of junk in that yard. Must be someone that has that dreaded dis ease called "drop and run" LOLOL I couldn't handle that for sure. YOU did an excellent JOB going around it all and that mower is totally awesome did a beautiful job of cutting. Hint a pocket knife would help with cutting that plastic refill on your weed whacker?
BRAD..................Do you prefer the VENTRAC over the ZERO TURN? (also how much do you add to the bill for clipping removal?)
Maybe all the stuff in the yard is an indicator of why the other mowing guy abandoned this property.
I would say to those people "First clean up all your garbage, and then I'll mow your lawn".
It's unbelievable that some people can live in such a dump.
:"I propel bottles of Propel" - Your next t-shirt idea? ;)
😆👍
Hey Brad I noticed your business was in my home town and I was wandering if you were hiring
Kinda surprised you took that job on . Did you hold a cinder block intervention afterwards ?
All that money for vehicles and yet they cant throw away their trash and they park on the grass, leave junk in the yard so he cant mow it all. I hope you got your money first.
Is that kind of like a bush hog type of setup? I haven't seen a mower like that.
Hi. New subscriber here by way of a shout out from Sean at @BladeMateLawnCare. I have a question. Why do you mow first, then weed-eat, especially in areas where there is a lot of debris around? I am not being critical or snarky or trying to tell you how to do your job, I'm just curious. Is it just a preference or is there reasoning behind it?
Since Brad didn't respond, I'll answer on his behalf. I'm offering this answer straight from his mouth in a q&a video he made a few years back.
I had also been wondering exactly the same thing, since every other guy I watch (including Sean) always edge and weed-eat first, and mow last.
Brad finally answered this in that q&a video I mentioned.
His reasoning was as follows:
1. When the grass is normal height or short, he always edges and weed-eats first.
2. When it is very tall (as in this video), it makes no difference which one he does first, because of how tall the grass is.
Keep in mind the entire reason for normally edging and weed-eating first is to throw those clippings in the yard, then chop them up with the mower second, thereby resulting in a cleaner yard.
However, according to Brad, when the grass is really tall, that won't work anyway, so it's okay to mow first.
I hope that was helpful.
@@joshuaburba1048 Thank you. That makes sense, since when it is very long, they usually rake & bag the grass whereas when it is shorter, they usually just mulch it.
@@momnoah5 Exactly right. My pleasure.
What brand is that trimmer? Motor sounds strong.
TORO. It is their commercial battery trimmer. They only have a few pieces of commercial equipment (trimmer, blower, hand held hedge trimmer) but I have a lot of their residential stuff and like it a lot. Their commercial trimmer beats the residential ones for sure. I hope they come out with more commercial equipment soon!
I know exactly why the former lawn service hasn't come back. that yard is a diaster with junk and branches
Nice lawn job. I’m assuming they knew you were coming and I don’t understand why you didn’t knock on their door to move their vehicles and pick up the debris in the yard. This was a free job?
Work Gloves!!
I not into the random cinder block decor…🇨🇦❤️
I wouldn't call that a lawn. More of a junk yard. I would never have risked my equipment to clean up this mess. No question about why the former lawn care person dipped out on this one.
I'd abandon them too if I had to spend so much time cleaning up all their garbage and moving all their trashy junk around..
lawn care guys dont just abandon people thats their income these people must do something wrong
I would for sure pick up obstacles and trash before having someone come over to cut my grass!
...ohhh myyy 🙀 ...when I have time, I will come back to your video to watch more, but I'm so unsettled from the get-go, I've gotta look away. I'm a "neat" gardener; beds edged; lawn immaculate; flowers/shrubs properly pruned/deadheaded...man, this is awful! Folks, don't hate me. 🤷🏼♀️🥴👩🏼🌾💚 =^..^=
Tooooooo many things everywhere
How do these people not think for once oh the lawn guy comes tomorow let’s move some shit and pick up the trash for him. Makes it easier and will cost less.. I mean you need to do more lawns and if everyone just thinks like this.. don’t like people like that
I see why their lawn care guy quit, owners have no respect for their yard or toys. Party on people.
This place could use a dumpster!!!!!
Hi this is Brad with Copper Creek Cuts, a lawn care company in Northeast Florida
I purchased a pretty beefy long pole weed eater for stuff like this. It's my mine detector for mowing yards like this. 😅 Some of that stuff could wreck a multi blade zero turn or snap the drive belt and unlevel the deck if hit. Nice work.
Why so slow though?
Is your license plate short for 'cash money'?
LOL Believe it or not, no, those Conserve Wildlife tags get random 5 digits but I think all of them start with C for the conserve wildlife. Just lucked into this one! :D
Not being nasty but I understand why the last guy never came back
You did a great job but please wear gloves God only knows what you are touching.
So. Much. Junk.
That leaning, almost down, mailbox tells me everything I need to know about the residents. They just dont care about their yard.
When I get a call to do estimate on a property such as this
I take note of the overall condition of the property
I also pay attention as to what information can be learned from the client
Seldom do things just happen
There are thousands of professional lawn maintenance companies
In reality few will just go away
If there is a reasonable job at a reasonable price
There IS someone who would like to make that money
Of course you can not put crack heads or young kids in the category of a mowing service
Then again :)
There are clients who will force a professional mowing service to abandon them
I not a big fan of all the youtube videos where a lawn man mows a lawn that has not been mowed in years.
There very likely are real reasons
Belts blades and other mower parts are expensive and prices are rising exponentially
If a person really can not afford to have their grass cut they have options
Why are you using such a big mower? Why are you going so slow? Just to let you know. This video is very boring.
Very very very slow 😮
That's how life feels sometimes! :D
If you run the video on fast then we will see you working normally 😅
First here✌️
Second
Good JOB GOD BLESS YOU
Outside looks terrible can only wonder how it looks on the inside.
good job
