    I love the way you teach! The fact of choosing only one inversion for each chord, and only 3 chords, instead of trying to show all possible inversions and messing up our minds, that is knowing how to teach, thank you so much

I am where you used to be trying to get where you are at. With your help I think I will make it. Thank you Yaakov.

    Excellent work as always. Perhaps there is a Part Two in the future to include chord subs - as in your example of Dmin7/D to Dmin/F, you insert A7/E bass, and start a diatonic bass walk up (D, E, F..).

      I show all the substitutes in my paid courses which have many lessons inside that allows me to explain substituted clearly.
      But I will consider creating a short CZcams lesson abut that as well. Thanks!

    Just excellent info for many songs where these inversions can create so much color and improvisation . Excellent demonstration showing how it can be used I'm looking forward to practicing , I am a fingerstylist but this is just wonderful knowledge that can be applied to what I do too. Thanks you !

    Thanks Jacob! I am enjoying your lessons. As I am new to Gypsy jazz, my question is this: when moving from for example an E-7 to an A7 chord, might you insert sometimes a Bb7 or Bb13 on the fourth beat as you move to A7? I know this is done in other styles but not sure if this fits with Gypsy Jazz. Thanks!

    • @GypsyAndJazz
      @GypsyAndJazz  Před 7 lety

      Hi Jeff
      Yes of-course you can do it. GJ is not different than Jazz in that manner.
      especially we love to play A13/Bb
      Give it a try
      Cheers
