I'm definitely going to have to take a look into this pistol, I've been running a tourist TX22 for about 4 years now and I love the pistol aside from it not being able to cycle any subsonic ammo I've put through it
Reason most semi automatic 22 pistols and rifles can't cycle subsonic ammunition is due to low powder load in the cartridge, they only put so much in them where it can only reach velocity up to 980 to 1000 fps (feet per second), thats about as much as a pellet rifle, the recommended powder load for semi automatic 22s is 40 grain and higher where it's velocity and fps are higher between 1100 to 1600 fps, i ran different powder loads and high and low velocity bullets in my sig sauer 1911 22lr, from what I've noticed rounds 1200 and higher tend to cycle more cleaner and smooth without stove piping or jamming
That’s pretty cool. Could do without the trigger swap but if it doesn’t cause trouble or fall off or something I suppose it will be ok. Seems like a good 22.

Awesome firearm. It’s going to give the tx22 a run. I have a tx22 and have fired over 2k rounds with 2 malfunctions to date. One was a stove pipe and one was a primer strike that didn’t go bang. I think this will sell good bc i myself love sig and sig has a lot of followers.
Agree. I have the TX22 also and still plan on getting this one. I got my TX22 for only $320 and spent $35 for a red dot plate. I’ve only shot about 200 rounds though mine with about 3 stove pipes and a light primer strike. The stove pipes could be from shooting suppressed and low velocity ammo (710-1000 fps).

I just bought one used from a local gun store on my lunch break. With 4 mags, looks brand new for $320 all in. Cant wait to get some more trigger time on it. Only shot one mag at my shop but work ends soon. I love it. I have a cheap ADE red dot at home that needs a home until i upgrade to a holosun.
20 rounds in a 22lr handgun is crazy. I think I may pick up one of these. If it resembles the p365 it may be a good training tool since that's what I carry. Threaded barrel is always a plus as well. I find myself passing on any 22lr that isn't threaded from the factory.
Sig should have made a P365 version in 22lr. I'm sure they will, but should have been the first 22lr training pistol vs the P320 training 22lr. Regardless, glad to see Sig continually updating their product offering. I firmly believe Sig is the one major gun manufacturer that will changed the gun industry the most. Great job Sig!
I have a threaded GSG firefly & it runs great. Love it. I heard the SIG mosquito was really bad though. I'm not sure what differences GSG made to their firefly but whatever they did, it works.
This looks incredible and just in time, seeing how I've been looking for another .22 pistol. Having 20 (and potentially 25) rounds in a magazine is outstanding. Having those mags loaded with Federal Punch Personal Defense 22lr, could make this a truly viable carry option.
"Viable" is not the word i would use. Anything that's manual of arns includes "do a mag dump into the face of the enemy and say a quick prayer" is a range toy or something for someone whose so insanely frail that it was basically this or accept their chances. I mean it beats fighting with a pointy stick, but I'd definitely suggest having a pointy stick on standby if you're carrying a .22 to defend yourself from anything other than a rabid squirrel because you're probably going to need to pike the enemy with it when they're quickly closing the distance looking like they've been shot in the face with a pellet gun. That being said, I guess I'm buying another Sig. Although the FN502 tactical looks pretty good too...decisions, decisions. What an awesome problem to have!!
I'd go with "Velocitors" if possible, "Stingers" as a 2nd. Although I think Browning, Winchester & Aguilla all have options available that are similar to both CCI offerings. A 40gr hp around 1400 & a lighter 32gr hp around 1600. Won't get those velocities from a pistol length barrel but I'd imagine they'd still do pretty well.
After watching this video I found a lot of similarities between this and the Kel-Tec P17. They both are hammer fired, they both come apart for cleaning the same way, they both have a threaded barrel, and they both shoot all types of ammo without any issues. I have the P17 and I’m thinking I would love this gun as well
U like that KelTec? I thought about it but went with the sig. I love the KelTec sub2000 I have. I’ve never shot any other KelTec and they get a bad wrap but that sub2k is awesome!
The glock 44 is a shiddy designed gun. Even the Taurus TX22 whoops its ass. And that, is sad. Glock is lazy, and outdated. They refuse to come up with anything new, or innovative.
I've had a sig mosquito for years now and after I changed the recoil spring and put lots and lots of rounds through it now runs great. I would love to have a 20 round magazine for it though.
Most people who have shot 22LR their whole lives "one malfunction per box of bulk bottom shelf 22? super reliable" --> The armchair armorer "IF IT CANT FIRE 50,000 ROUNDS WITHOUT FAIL THEN I WONT BUY IT!"
If I buy the cheapest ammo forget the brand but it got American flags on it and it’s a box of 500 only get 3-4 malfunctions per box idk where all these keyboard warriors are getting information
Premium .22LR ammo very rarely malfunctions. I don't think i've ever had a malfunction with CCI Velocitor, out of thousands of rounds fired. Bulk 22, youre right, totally different story.
I was strongly considering the FN502, but after this sig release, absolutely not! I've had the "Umarex" experience, no Bueno! They get all the talking points right with this gun, now we can get some real-life reports of reliability, and this will be a serious contender to dethrone the legend: TX22.
@@jonnylivesinbr Right ,obviously what I mean is I'm sure theyre available for sale, and of course many of the main manufacturers are European, but the fact that most citizens are prohibited from their governments there from purchasin them, so I mean in what countries can you even do so with a "license" from your regime
Hey great video buddy! Your Love of firearms and also the love of sharing with people is very evident. I own a Taurus tx22, and up until this video, it was the one 22 let for capacity, reliability, threaded barrel, agronomics, and most importantly price point. I'm sure if you spend a couple thousand dollars on a pistol you can find one that's halfway decent:) the capacity though on this one is impressive. Also the ability to put a red dot on there is obviously an improvement. Now I'm not a big red dot guy, unless it's on a AR-15, but more options is always better. SIG saying they're going to sell this for around $400.......... I'll believe it when I see it!. Would I myself go out and buy one, considering I already own the Taurus tx22, no I will not. Four rounds extra in the mag when it already has the 16 round is not a game changer for myself, but, a new buyer to the market, I couldn't argue with them if they bought the SIG. Quality seems to be hand in hand, along with the price point is around the same. Great gun great video!
I recently got my P322 and put 400 rounds (CCI: Mini-Mags HP & Round Nose and Stingers) through it without any failures or barrel leading. It is very accurate using a Holosun 407K green dot. I am feeling grateful to have recieved a good copy of this fun to shoot gun.
Does the frame feel (or approximate) the P320? It is going to be interesting to watch the 22lr price point battle. I have a Taurus TX22 comp (accurate, fun, reliable). The rear sight is 'ok' but is plastic and needed to be replaced which Taurus no problem (great customer support). I hope TandemKross jumps on this P322 putting an upgrade kit together for the Sig. Great time to be a plinkster. Nice review, Mr. Thank you.
holding it feels the same, racking it, feels different, has a different hold up point, pushing the hammer back, but thats really it in feel. takedown is different.
I'm getting one of these for sure, love my S&W M&P .22 Compact but it only has 10+1 capacity... and this Sig will go with the others in my collection!!

My Taurus XL has been my favorite to shoot but now you’ve caused me to get excited!!! I’ll have to add this to my gun collection ASAP. I’m certain with the cost of 22 ammo (lowest relatively speaking) so this product is right on time! Thanks!!
I bought a P322 and it is very ammo sensitive. Did not cycle CCI subsonic and was less than reliable with bulk ammo. CCI Minimags & Stingers worked fine. Maybe Mr. Plinkster got a specially tuned pistol?
The best .22 I’ve ever had not a mark v was the CZ cadet conversion for a p07 absolutly reliable thousands and thousands of rounds of aguila and cci thru it and I can’t remember the last malfunction Awsome training tool has saved me tons. And you get the sweet single action trigger
I have had a Mosquito for years and absolutely love it. It eats anything I put in it and is a joy to shoot. I did not have to break it in with high velocity ammo or change the springs. If you put a drop of oil in the port on the slide like you’re supposed to, it works just fine. That being said, I definitely want one of these as well.
Those are called trigger shoe. Curve trigger shoe and flat trigger shoe according to your preference. A very innovative idea from Sig as many shooters depend on the shape of the triggers as much as they do on the grips.
At 3:32 it looks like the back of the flat trigger has a shelf that the rounded trigger sets on. Also when he is putting the rounded trigger on it looks like it “pops” into place. I have not seen one first hand and would like to know for sure as well.
I really like what I see, I have a few other sigs and love those, so I am definitely getting the P322..I just may use it for a carry gun...your shooting is amazing 👍👍
My question is, how accurate is this pistol compared to 22 target pistols like the ruger mark iv. I know this is a really late question but I was looking at 22 pistols for my local pistol competition. I was going to get a S&W SW22 or a Ruger mark iv. I personally am a huge fan of sig and when I saw that this pistol is 200$ cheaper than the mark iv and comes with a thread adapter, I was very intrigued.
It's a Ruger SR 22 from what I can see. I have had zero issues with mine. It needs the external hammer like the Ruger. It does have a few more rounds to play with than the SR22
I had, key word "had", a ruger SR22. It spent more time at ruger than it did in my home. It had several problems. Ended up dumping it when it came back to me for the last time.
I always enjoy your videos, and for some reason trust your comments. The P322 looks interesting, thanks. Keep up the good work. PS - I think you should do a video with Hickock45 sometime.
Well, I got one, and I'll say it's been a chore to get a full magazine out of this at times without some kind of malfunction. Lite Strikes, Feeding issues. One of my magazines looks like it eats itself. My P322 won't lock back on the last round, ever. Got about, 1,500 rounds through it and still having issues. Guess they really tuned up the one they sent you. I've been trouble shooting it and might see some issues that might be causing my problems, that one magazine, in which yes, I have most of the malfunctions on that one messed up magazine. I like the pistol and when it runs it runs. So far doesn't like Aguila, Stanger's, or Tippman Arms ammunition high and standard of both. Hoping that it will break in at some point and start running. I am wanting a suppressor for it as well, hopefully it will start working better. I am looking for different recoil spring kits for it.
Dang. I just bought a Walther P22 Military and i love it, but i also have the Sig P320 & P365 (2 of them)... to have a Sig 22lr that holds 20 would have been fantastic, and i spent $325 on the Walther. If this thing would have came out a month ago, idve been all on it. I may just have to get one anyways... ugh.
I had an early umarex P22. It was a jamomatic. had to buy a captured recoil spring to get it very functional. Finally traded it off. Soured me on Walther, they shouldn't have put there name on it.

@@22plinkster How do you say this is the most reliable 22lr pistol you have tested when it has two light primer strikes? Did you forget you tested the Kel-Tec P17 and it ran flawless with every type of ammo you put in it, including the bulk ammo and subsonic. Zero light primer strikes, unlike the Sig here.
@@Steven-gv1ke After checking the jam, 22plinkster confirmed that there was a solid hit on the primer and not a light primer strike and felt it was an ammo issue and not the firearm. I was interested in the p17 as well, but this new Sig has stepped it up big with capacity, egro and maybe even reliability. Reliability will be confirmed as time goes on but so far I like what I'm seeing.
@@Steven-gv1ke Its 22 rimfire....It is vastly more unreliable and inconsistent in manufacturing than centerfire rounds. I have a dozen rimfires made by kimber, savage, ruger, marlin, H&R, etc and ALL exhibit misfires or light rim strikes periodically, even with high quality rimfire ammo. just the nature of the game.
@@MsTugg I've taken apart many brands and types of .22 rimfire ammunition years ago and found that a great majority of them had the priming component material spread in a U or circular pattern with a gap. If the firing pin hits that area the round will not fire. When I shot sort of competition with .22 the instructors urged us to use Eley or some other hi grade ammo because the primer material was fully circular in the rimfire case.

Man I fell in love with the tx22 I bought 2 of them shoots any ammo I throw at them and at the time they were the highest capacity at 16 I wanna get the mag extensions to take them up to 20 but man I think I might have found a replacement for my two tx22 I never understood why companies never mad high capacity 22lr pistols
I have been watching your videos for ever, I love shooting 22's. I love your review videos because you really give your honest opinion, I will be looking for this pistol to pickup. 2 20rd mag's it's hard to find any 22 that comes with 2 mag's let alone 20rds thanks for this review and thank you sig for putting the effort on the 22 pistol.sig has always had great line on pistols it seemed like they gave up on the 22 line and focused on the bigger cal. pistols but you guys really turned the heat up on this one great job.
I live about 30 minutes north of that plant and know many who work there. Thanks for Rockin' the Federal shirt.
The TX22 is amazing...if this keeps up with it, I'm a buyer. I do like SIG stuff...
Sig is priced $125 more than the TX22
The TX22 gonna be hard to beat......
@@aaronsherwood8348 I have a TX22 and I agree
TX22 failed on looks, it's fugly!
@@Christoph-sd3zi this is $380 street. Where are you seeing the competition TX22 for $125 less? Cause feature wise that’s the one that’s comparable.
Sig is going to be $400+ - I purchased my TX22 for $275 - no problems with my TX22 with any ammo and $275 is the max I will pay for a .22 plinker.
@@Christoph-sd3zi Yeah, that will be the biggest thing Sig will have to worry about. If they over price it, it will not beat out the TX22!
@@dboutdoors6180 the only thing about the TX22 is the factory sights are absolute garbage
Pitted against the TX22 Competition model since they are at the same price point the TX22 is a better deal. The TX22 Competition has the red dot mounts on the barrel instead of the slide which keeps the red dot from shaking back and forth and keeps precious grams of weight off the slide to eliminate FTE. That is one sweet "Gucci" design by the Taurus engineers. Plus it looks bad ass a-la Beretta M9.
Great review, I always appreciate a few comments on trigger pull and reset.
Hello there 👋👋,how are you doing today?hope you’re having a good day?God bless you!❤️
I just bought one used from a local gun store on my lunch break.
I mean...I don't know if you have looked but this has a 3 slot rail and the P365 would be lucky to fit one slot.
This is much larger than a p365 and it isn't really like a p320 either
It’s not really either, it’s somewhere in between with design motifs from both
I have come to the conclusion I am NOT buying any .22 pistol that isn't threaded.
Love the way this gun looks, unfortunately cannot find it in stock anywhere and I'm about to just buy a tx22

This is the first time I've heard of the p322 but after watching this video I'm sure to get one .
I have a threaded GSG firefly & it runs great. Love it. I heard the SIG mosquito was really bad though. I'm not sure what differences GSG made to their firefly but whatever they did, it works.
FYI, the SIG mosquito was NOT made by SIG. Only sold by them. Was big mistake on their part.
This looks incredible and just in time, seeing how I've been looking for another .22 pistol.
Having 20 (and potentially 25) rounds in a magazine is outstanding.
Having those mags loaded with Federal Punch Personal Defense 22lr, could make this a truly viable carry option.
Federal Punch Personal Defense 22lr is awesome, a very ruthless .22lr ammo for sure.
@@BubbaBigDude My Son has a TX22. His only Pistol. He keeps a Mag of Federal Punch in it when hes not Plinking.
@@johnnelson3158 Don't underestimate 21 rds. of .22. I'm sure you wouldn't want to be a target of it.
Sig p322 looks awesome….looks like a lot of fun
Hell yeah!! I want one, maybe two, it kinda resembles my P365, love it!
I been reading & seeing so many good reports on the P17. I don't even want to drive in the direction of the gun store!
Excellent firearm. I have a TX 22 but this will be a new addition with both of these eclipsing the Glock 44.
I love my tx22 but this is tempting
I disagree.
My Glock 44 is better than my Taurus.
The glock 44 is a shiddy designed gun. Even the Taurus TX22 whoops its ass. And that, is sad.
Glock is lazy, and outdated. They refuse to come up with anything new, or innovative.
*Awesome video 22plinkster.*
Gosh dang it, I just bought a TX 22 competition today. I would’ve considered waited for one of these if I knew about it
I'd definitely like to try this firearm out. My taurus tx22 is awesome. Being this is a sig it might be twice as awesome
Glad I waited this looks cool, also 1000 rounds no cleaning for 22 that's a lot
I've had a sig mosquito for years now and after I changed the recoil spring and put lots and lots of rounds through it now runs great. I would love to have a 20 round magazine for it though.
Awesome looking gun, good trainer for my Sig x carry
Most people who have shot 22LR their whole lives "one malfunction per box of bulk bottom shelf 22? super reliable" --> The armchair armorer "IF IT CANT FIRE 50,000 ROUNDS WITHOUT FAIL THEN I WONT BUY IT!"
Lol yep not one 22 gunner worries about a few malfunctions that's life
.22lr shooters _know_ malfunction drills because they live them. 😉
Out of all 3 of my 22 firearms I'm guessing I have had 4 single issues out of over 10k rounds. What more could you ask for?
I wish they’d make a 365xl 22
Tools and Targets ( a new channel) was the first time I saw one of these. And have been looking since.
Great video and review! I will definitely have to check it out once it becomes available.
Hello there👋, how are you doing today I hope you’re having a great day so far❤️❤️
I was strongly considering the FN502, but after this sig release, absolutely not! I've had the "Umarex" experience, no Bueno! They get all the talking points right with this gun, now we can get some real-life reports of reliability, and this will be a serious contender to dethrone the legend: TX22.
The TX22 is really hard to get in Europe, I hope this will be in every gun store over here!
Where in EU can you even buy a pistol?
@@---tx9xx In most countries in Europe actually. It's way harder to get the license than in the US though
@@jonnylivesinbr Right ,obviously what I mean is I'm sure theyre available for sale, and of course many of the main manufacturers are European, but the fact that most citizens are prohibited from their governments there from purchasin them, so I mean in what countries can you even do so with a "license" from your regime
I know Czech can
Hey great video buddy!
Did you contact?

Same crap for me…it won’t cycle Winchester 333 jhp…disappointing

Hello there 👋👋,how are you doing today?hope you’re having a good day?God bless you❤️
Those are called trigger shoe. Curve trigger shoe and flat trigger shoe according to your preference. A very innovative idea from Sig as many shooters depend on the shape of the triggers as much as they do on the grips.
I sure like my Ruger SR22. Shoots everything, but it doesn't have one of those green red-dots, and is limited to 10 round mags....
This is fantastic! I was looking for a way to spend twice as much for a TX22. Sig came along and solved my problem. Thanks you Sig!
🤣 lmao
I'm definitely buying one of these.
Be on the lookout for a used TX22 in my area soon.
Can't wait till the aftermarket gets a hold of this and turns these things into insane custom guns.
That trigger cover just held on with hopes and dreams, or is there a pin?
I'd be a bit worried about that.
Just pushes onto the metal trigger stub. Nothing but friction holding the trigger show on. That`s a big NOPE for me.
At 3:32 it looks like the back of the flat trigger has a shelf that the rounded trigger sets on. Also when he is putting the rounded trigger on it looks like it “pops” into place. I have not seen one first hand and would like to know for sure as well.
Supper glue!
Looks so smooth! Might have to grab one
It is not a ruger
Ruger sr22 is not this pistol, that is a step down.
@@alexreche9710 I do not agree but the Sig may be a step up
I had, key word "had", a ruger SR22. It spent more time at ruger than it did in my home.

Holster compatability with existing Sig guns?
I recently picked one of these up and have uploaded some videos on it with more to come. So far, after 500rds it's surpassed my expectations.

@@Steven-gv1ke After checking the jam, 22plinkster confirmed that there was a solid hit on the primer and not a light primer strike and felt it was an ammo issue and not the firearm.
