I'm waiting for the 51st anniversary edition. Apparently instead of being pressed on vinyl it's actually going to be a disc cut from actual moon rock ... the dark side In guessing 🤷♂️

So far, the reviews of this are how pretty the records look. NO ONE has thrown it on their turntable and given a review of the sound. We know it looks cool, because we all saw the pictures. Play it FFS.
Seriously. Not a good sign if Mike doesn’t even review the sound.

Mike, did you ultrasonically clean this LP? Someone in a peanut gallery claimed the UV printing came off in the Ultrasonic. Would really like to know.

Just got mine today, not opening it , keeping this bad boy packaged . This one is gonna be gold in years to come.
I don’t do that. I even opened 2 brand new sealed NOS JMJ MOFI last year that were sealed since the 90's. IMO, it,s not worth keeping them sealed unless you plan on living to 1000 years old!
Just got mine yesterday. Second LP playing sude has a scratch accross the last three tracks. Your gold might be an expensive turd in the long run.

That kind of picture disc I can deal with, hopefully it starts a trend for other LPs! Only not on "concept" albums like DSOTM , those types of albums must have a natural flow through each song! In the middle of the flow you have to break the flow, and play the other side! I remember you making that exact point on the 45rpm version! On a side note, this picture disc won't wear the music since the grooves are pressed traditionally!

I bought this Pink Floyd 50th anniverssry DSOTM and it's really cool, they should do that to all their vinyl albums, maybe except The Final Cut.
Not everyone has 15 different versions of this, I only have one early, non blue triangle, press which just sounds ok. I like this a lot and with the grundman mastering I think i'm going to pick it up.
Just buy the regular pressing . Why would u want this trash ?

Does it sound a whole lot better like night and day than the normal plain black 50th anniversary reissue? Because it may look cool,but it could be a pain to switch each individual disc for each side.

Are there different versions of this pressing, as yours has solid blue triangles on, but stock images of both US and EU 50th pressings show solid black triangles?!

I think they are all blue. I think the stock images are pre-production.

Different novelty versions. They did a few colored foreign releases and a picture disc decades ago, but not much since.

No it’s not.
Picture discs are typically vinyl, just two smaller discs sandwiched over an image which result in poorer sound quality.
Mike is the best! The guy could sell ice to an Eskimo...trying to sell us yet another version of DSOTM....I know...I know people are going to love it and it will sell out but c'mon 😂😂😂

These are supposed to be UV printed? Ever heard of a blacklight? I wonder what these would look like under a blacklight. It's the 70's all over again!!!
You didn't have to take the shrinkwrap off. The gatefold just slips out the top. Goo think you didn't tear up the shrinkwrap. You can just slide it back onto the slip-cover to protect it.
Or throw it in the bin now that its function is over.
My turntable is too high to watch the record.
We all need to buy one of those Project turntables that hangs vertically on the wall!

this album looks like fun. It reminds me I need to sell a version I have that I never listen to and a collector might enjoy. hard to believe there is yet another version., I hope it plays well.

Just grabbed this at my local shop. I'm very disappointed in the packaging. The slipcover is extremely difficult to slide back on and is made of extremely cheap cardboard. It's more like paper. Also I feel like the slipcover is too small for the gatefold

I would have bought this, but it is a shameless cash grab and I already have an original copy that still sounds amazing.
On my third copy now. The quality is crap. Either scuffed hard sratatched..or black spots on the 'clear vinyl' as a collector item.
