Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; six-time Tony Award® winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.
Directed by Oscar® winner Bill Condon from a screenplay by TBD based on the 1991 animated film, the film is produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman with eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards® (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the 1991 animated film, providing the score, which will include new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as several new songs written by Menken and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Here are the movie mistakes I noticed in Beauty And The Beast!
Did you spot any others?😜
Flicks And The City the Beasts fangs kept disappearing. What were they? SnKe fangs? That really annoyed me.
Gonna have to check that out now, Ben! :-)
Flicks And The City actually when she enters the church if you notice she does take it down. Bc she messing with it while walking in. Look how she is fumbling something when she walks in. I just assumed it's the dress.
Well Flicks, it didn't make any sense how Cogsworth just immediately appeared on the dinner table when Lumiere was still singing "Be Our Guest"! However I would like to fix it with an idea I to pitch to Disney and would ask them to make "another" Live Action version of the movie with me as the director, only if I can get that kind of career now that I've graduated from high school.😃
Like that you're aiming high, Beau! :-)
I can't get over how beautiful the graphics were in the movie. I love watching this remake.
That's great, Olivia! :-)
Imagine watching the Cartoon for the first time. I saw the cartoon version in the movie theatres when I was 7 or 8. Im 35 now. But Beauty and the Beast was the first Animated Movie to ever implement CGI in a feature film during the Famous Ball Room dance. If you watch it today even the graphics hold well.
Another fun fact. The Ball Room dance lasted about 5 mins in the cartoon version. It took 2 years for 100's of computers to render the 5 minute scene due to the lack of computer power back then. Toy Story 1, the first Full CGI feature animated film took even longer. 117 computers rendered everyday. each frame took almost hour to 30 hours to render. depending on how complex the scene was.
belles sweater isn't the only new thing that appeared she also is now wearing her brown boots instead of her golden heels
Cool, many thanks for letting me know! :-)
Flicks And The City thanks for replying u r one of my fave CZcamsr's :)
Aw, thanks so much! And you're very welcome! :-)
Yeah she changes her shoes to boots when leaving the castle and riding Philipe. Instead of in the original, where she also changes her outfit.
The biggest problem in the movie is how the time outside the castle seems to be a few days, and the time inside seems to be several months. All they needed was a line about time being different on the castle grounds. The servants seem to have been household objects for years, but their spouses from outside the castle are scarcely older?
I always wonder how people are capable of noticing all of these little errors! I cannot believe anyone was able to notice the Cheese Soufflé not being on the menu! It's insane how many mistakes can be made when filming.
I liked that the live version was able to fix most of the mistakes in the original film. It makes the story flow much nicer.
Love the video!
The newly-introduced plot hole that's bothering me: why, when the Beast has an enchanted book that can literally transport you to anywhere in an instant, would Belle not use that book to go save her father instead of riding back?
Maybe you're not really there or can't have an impact on what happens
I absolutely adore the new original song "Evermore" :D The missing item Lumiere sang about was cheese souffle. Suppose to be camembert something
I loved the live action Beauty and the beast to the point I talk about it constantly. Lumiere sings about cheese souflee and it doesn't appear in the menu I thought that was really instering
It is such a gorgeous film, isn't it, Tanis?! :-)
I really liked new songs and the new "feel" of the old songs! Cheese soufflé :)
Yes, they were fantastic, Camilla! :-)
One of the funnier errors I noticed (technically a logic error) was right before the Mob Song. When Maurice was getting thrown in the wagon and was about to be taken away to the asylum, many people were standing around with lit torches just watching. What did they need torches for if they were just watching some crazy man get imprisoned? Well, right after this, they sing the mob song which mentions getting torches to hunt the Beast, but many of them already have torches. Not planned very well if you ask me
How in the amidst of all this sorrow, can so much love endure... Emma singing this in the movie and in the light of the recent events in Manchester really brought me to tears. :')
I loved the live action movie's depiction of Le Fou! I thought Josh Gad was great in Gaston especially! the dish not on the menu is Cheese Soufflé
He was absolutely fantastic, wasn't he, Fiona?! Also loved Luke Evans as Gaston! :-)
He was amazing! My favorite townsperson by far. I love all the dimension he gave his character, and that he was not some idiot slobbery-dog-type Gaston side-kick.
Fiona Harper Easter egg le fou in the animated movie fell and become a snowman 2017 josh gas played le fou and also plays a snowman
I love the film too. I notice near the end Belle wears golden heels but when her and the prince walked hand and hand when the prince becomes human again, Belle now wears boots instead of heels.
Agatha's looks change(enchantress). In the beginning she's very young when the prince got cursed, old when she is Agatha and young once Agatha revokes the curse... maybe its got to do with the curse.
I loved this movie and didn't seem to notice any of the mistakes during the 3 times I saw it because I was just so engrossed in it lol. My favorite part(s) in the movie were Belle's and the Beast's interactions with books. Mainly his distaste for Romeo and Juliet lol
haha, yes, that was very funny, Amanda! :-)
It took me a few months to reach this conclusion... But I think I like the original better.
Perhaps it's nostalgia?
But... everything I love about this version came from the original.
It's like having the most delicious cake with a lovely new layer of yummy frosting.
The new cake is fantastic, but it got it's amazing recipe from the original!
And also to enter the give away the answer is Cheese Souffle!
I absolutely loved the movie, the inclusion of Mr Potts was one of my favourite things that was not in the original. I was ready to be super harsh on anything they got wrong but I adored it and thought it was fantastic in comparison to the original.
Cheese souffle is the thing that's not on the menu. I love movie mistakes videos because I'm always too entranced by movies to notice them.
I loved the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast, especially all the knew music and how they added more detail on the backgrounds of many characters! cheese soufflé!
Belle also changes her shoes when going back to the castle to save beast, she's in the boots and not the yellow ballroom shoes, as you say it's highly implausible she'd stop back plus she's wore those shoes to the castle. Also, in the castle invasion scene she white dress/her underwear is hiked for the ride but if worn beneath the yellow dress, it wouldn't have been. She's on Phillipe so when would she have has time to hike it? I think the dress is also down by the transformation scenes, too.
Similarly, in the scene Belle and Beast discuss Arthur and Guinevere she's wearing the flat shoe we saw her in during the laundry scene but...where did they come from? She only left with what she was standing up in.
I love your vids❤️
I love your channel. Especially when you do the ones on Beauty and the Beast as that is my favourite movie of all time.
The answer to the question is Cheese Souffle.
I loved this live action movie, but in my opinion, nothing beats the classic!!
The live action beauty and the beast has turned into my favorite movie of all time
I actually love both the animated film 1991 and the live action beauty and beast 😍
I love your videos and love love the movie
I absolutely love the live remake of beauty and the beast
This movie made me so excited because I was and still am a huge fan of the Disney animated film. This movie was so beautiful and I couldn't find any mistakes that you didn't mention. Great video really made me think and the dish was Cheese Souffle
Once again an amazing video. Great job picking up these plot holes and mistakes, how many times do you have to watch the film to catch these? The dish that was not on the menu was the cheese souflé.
Thanks so much, BergerMaestro! I saw it twice at the cinema then again on Blu-ray! :-)
Ahhh, makes sense. Once again thanks for the video
You're very welcome! :-)
for all the wonderful technical things this movie had to offer I think they did remarkably well only having those few mistakes
The movie was magnificent! I got the DVD and I probably watched it at least 10 times now. I am not lying. The songs are amazing, the cast is fantastic, overall everything about the movie was wonderful. No one could tell me anything otherwise. Also, to answer your question, the dish that did not appear on the menu is cheese soufflé! 😁🥀❤️
Interesting. Both this film & Pirates 5 had guillotine jokes.
The new line about sneaking up with a "quiver," which is where a hunter keeps his arrows, is inconsistent with him using a gun.
I loved it!! Emma is an amazing belle!! Chews soufflé was not on the menu!
Hi, Jan! Thanks for replying on Twitter today! Another fantastic video! I hadn't noticed most of these nor have I found any others. I did notice the ones with the donkey's harness though as soon as my early cinema screening I went to. It drove me crazy, I said to my aunt who went with me in a whisper how did no one notice that?! The dish that Lumiere sang about that wasn't on the menu is cheese souffle. How could they have messed that up, that line has always been in the song?!
haha, I know, right?! And you're very welcome! So glad you enjoyed my latest video! :-)
I really did, thanks for inspiring me to be a better creator! 😀
Aw, my pleasure! :-)
The beauty and the beast movie is so awesome
oh. I thought she gave the donkey a lemon. I was like "what?!"
It's actually late 1700. The french revolution ended around 1799 and it took place right after.
I did notice that during the Be Our Guest song Lumiere sings, Emma never really gets to eat any of it, so what did they do with all of the food they all worked so hard on?
Also, neither movie really says what happened to all of the original furniture/utensils/dishes/etc went.
In the animated movie, even the stove/oven is a person...so did the curse put their souls in objects and fade their bodies, of make them objects, and fade the original objects that they replaced? They show a room with a bunch of torn up furniture, how many of those were people?
The movie was great! Loved it, and was happy to see that even all the new songs were wonderful AND memorable! :)
Cheese souffle wasn't on the menu!
Yes, I really enjoyed the new songs too! :-)
The answer is Cheese Souffle and I loved this movie. It is one of my favorite movies and i can never get sick of it no matter how many times i watch it.
I remember the horse were facing the girls.
And Be Our Guest, they are trying to starve Bell. Belle were trying to carve and eat, but never ate anything and the song finished and everything are closed together with the food. How rude.
I love the animated way more than the new one
When Belle and Philippe go to save Maurice, she gets a cloak when she wouldn't have known that the forest was winter already
CANDELABRA!!! Please! Enormous difference! The candlestick reference broke me inside.
The dish that didn't appear was the cheese souffle. Also, I loved this movie. I thought Emma and Dan were fantastic. Luke Evans had to be my favourite though as I thought he was the perfect Gaston! One other mistake was along with the sweater Belle picked up, she somehow stopped off at home to get her boots back on. Thanks for the video, it was great!
Loved the movie and your insight to the movie mistakes.
Answer: Cheese Soufflé
The missing meal is Cheese Souffle.
Belle's hair: when Mrs. Potts comes in Belle's room to ask her to go to dinner there is a lot of hair on her right shoulder. Then it changes to view Mrs. Potts and then there nearly isn't any but only a strand of hair. Then it changes and there are equal amounts of hair on both shoulders.
When everyone freezes except Belle, there's still a woman moving her arms and when they unfreeze there's a man who jumps from his frozen position.
Flicks And The City, the authors of the movie did not aspire to study birds in general and owls in particular, before giving the Agathe's owl a voice. They think ''Every owl must hoot''. I know that not all the owls hoot: the Barn owls are screeching & screaming (!), the Australian Barking owls are barking like dogs (the thing what gave 'em their name), the rare Seychelles scops owls are ticking like clocks.
I saw two mistakes
1. When morise is thrown in the stage wagon they slide a bolt along the door but when they open the door to throw bell in they dont slide a bolt.
2. when they escape from the stage wagon morise has to pick a lock but they had a bolt
you pointed out mistakes that are very hard to find out as most people focus on song too much that they can't find mistakes.
I finally got to watch the movie at home this morning. It is definitely one of my top 3 favorite movies! The answer to the question is CHEESE SOUFFLÉ.
well it's not too big to overreact but stil I freaking love this so much
Oh my gosh, when I watched this film I thought Belle gave the donkey a lemon and was like "what the heck??" I've never seen a yellow apple, but it makes much more sense that she gave him an apple instead of a lemon 😂😂😂
Sorry to troll - the main mistake was the miscasting of Belle. She may have a huge fan base but she is not belle and she couldnt sing.
thanks for the list of mistakes but we still love the movie
thanks i didnt notice them
im Subed to you and i loved the movie so much
Cheese souffle and something about the movie....my mom and I went to see it together, and loved how much detail they put into it. (especially the dining room seen that took 2 1/2 years to make) 🌹💖👸💃🐎🐺
despite of all those mistakes, still an awesome Disney Movie c:
Absolutely loved the movie, did some serious justice to my favourite old Disney film.
And the Cheese Soufflé wasn't on the menu :)
its very nice
I love this song omg😘
You missed the other mistake in Be Our Guest. They switched the Eiffel Tower(est. 1887) with the Taj Mahal (British Raj - 1865) where this movie is set in mid 18th century and neither one was established yet.
Unless the Beast has retractable fangs, in some scenes his fangs can be seen in the corners of his mouth, in others they are completely gone.
I loved this version as much as the original from my childhood!! the cheese souffle was missing from the menu
I thought the movie was great. Having learned French, it was fun finding and understanding some lines if you knew French. Such as when LeFou say "Je ne sais quoi" to Gaston, Gaston says, "I do not know what that means, "je ne sais quoi" can be translated to, "I do not know what." Also, during the credits, when the title is shown, they even used the French title, La Belle et la Bête, at the very top.
The dish that wasn't on the menu was Cheese Soufflé.
I've found two things:
1. When Belle left the castle, she wore the dancing shoes, but when she rode back, she wore the boots. When did she change the shoes ;)?
2. In the mob scene, Belle's hair position on her shoulder changed many times. This might be a continuity mistake by using different takes.
Still love this movie, my #1 movie of 2017 so far :)!
Thanks so much for sharing those, Anne-Katrin - gonna have to look out for them now! :-)
Not only the Belle's dancing shoes had somehow turned into her boots, - but, see, Anne-Katrin, she acquired a sweater from somewhere :)
I loved the movie, especially Luke Evans and josh had interpretation of Gaston and lefou and he sang about cheese soufflé
2 things. 1 they have to sometimes redo scenes because the actors mess up so that's why some of the little flaws are there. 2 JUST ENJOY THE MOVIE THE WAY IT IS
There is one mistake that nobody really talked about, at the opening we hear Big Ben (idk if you Say it like that) Say "Master, it's Time" and the prince respond "Oui maître" that doesn't make sense
Hiyah! Thanks for making this interesting video 😊
Isn't there any responsible person on set which job it is just to avoid big mistakes? Or did he/she just not a good job 😅
*the missing dish is Cheese soufflé*
Can't wait for you next video! 😉
You're very welcome, André! Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it! :-) And yes, there is someone in charge of continuity on film sets, they're called the Script Supervisor. :-)
Flicks And The City ah cool ... good to know 👍🏻
my favorite part of Beauty and the Beast is one battle saves her father
I loved the movie & the soundtrack!! Loved the animated version too, but it's wonderful having new songs in addition to new versions of the originals. Makes everything feel fresh again. I did notice the magical appearing sweater on Belle near the end, so I told myself she must've had it hidden under her skirts for when she wipped off the dress. ;) In answer to the question, Cheese Soufflé!
I loved the movie, I think it’s one of the best remakes from Disney. But it’s much inferior to the animated one. Its main problem is that it tries way too hard to fix “the problems” of the animated one. Even with all those “problems”,the animated one is still the best one.
It’s not like the plot holes ruin the whole experience of watching the movie
I loved the movie! I didn't notice these because I was laughing with my friend the entire time.
I subscribed
While these mistakes can't be denied now that they've been pointed they're so minor they are extremely difficult to even spot except for how Belle got a sweater on her way back to the castle. That's easily the most noticeable mistake but other than that, who could actually notice these mistakes unless they really study the movie that hard? I'm not saying you're wrong or criticizing your video, but just my take is most of these are really hard to pick up on.
I love it
I loved the musical scenes in this movie and he sang about cheese soufflé
I enjoyed the movie, especially Evermore, but the were several moments where I thought "really? /That/ was the choice you made (or take they went with)?...." regarding Emma Watson's performance. And I adore cheese soufflé (even though I have to double check how to spell it before typing/writing it out)
love the movie!
Before the waltz, you see Belle's dress and jewelry. There is a gold piece in each of her ears. Later, however, after the waltz, the pieces are not there.Cheese soufflé
I feel like the sweater were in the bags that is around Phillipe, like she pulled it and kept it on her
I noticed the poem and owl errors, and wondered about how her father got home. I assume he was so frazzled he traveled back on foot. --- Cheese souffle
I noticed something when they were all singing in the pub and Lefou was spelling out gastons name belles dad is seen holding a small cup and looking a tidy with the rest of the people in the pub then a few moments after he is seen coming into the pub looking scruffy and asking for help
I love beauty and the beast live if if you agree
Pierre Adedze *like (just wanted you to know) and you wrote 2 if
dirty horse:
Oh I dunno maybe its hard to work with unhappy animals. Unclean=unhappy.
I loved the movie but I didn't notice all the mistakes but I did notice the hitched up skirt then how it was all down at the book keeper. Can I please win the book
When you look carefully at the wife of cogsworth, at the beginning of the breakin on the castle, you can see she's holding a fork like trident or something I dunno, but later in the movie she already holds an axe instead of it. I dunno if this is an error or she intentionally changed weapon.
My favorite part of the movie was Belle's dress and accessories like the necklace and earring they are beautiful.
the answer to the question is : *cheese souffle*
The answer to the question is Lumiere sings about cheese souflee and it doesn't appear in the menu. The animated classic as good but I enjoy the new live action so much better. Did you think at times in the movie that is looks like the stuff the is CG appears to be on top of the scene?
Does anyone know what they "grey stuff" is from "Be Our Guest"? 😂
Lumiere sang about Cheese Souffle, which didn't appear on the menu.
In the live version at least, 'the grey stuff' appears to be caviar
Tj Dragonblade Thank you! 😊
such a wonderful happy ending in this remarkable remake. Belle and the prince live happily ever after and all that's left to do is scrape Gaston off the pavement.
and the dish is cheese souffle.
The movie, Beauty and the Beast, is BEAUTIFUL!!! Question answered to win the BOOK: "Tale as Old as Time, the Arte and Making of Beauty and the Beast". When Lumier is singing in the song "Be Our Guest" about the dishes on Belle's menu, the Cheese Souffle is mentioned but it isn't on her menu. I would love to win the book and would share it with my students! Thank you!
Beauty and the beast is my favorite movie😍
Cheese Soufflé. I think that i prefer the animation as I have to say I am not overly keen on Emma's singing. But I do love the characterisation of the enchantress in the live action, I wanted more of Agatha
I love Beauty and the Beast, the costumes are amazing! Cheese Soufflé!!!
There is one bit when belle goes really far from the town but gets there in 2secs
How many films beauty and beast are? I saw another italian 2014 with alessandro preziosi
How does Belle know how to read without ever being taught how?
okae so in the movie I'd like to point out the house was in town for 2017 but in the cartoon the house was outside of town and in the song he mentioned cheese sufle which is not on the menu
Cheese soufflé ! u just love to win it
