I have made a list of what cities to live in when I graduate and WV is meeting a lot of my needs. I currently and in Las Vegas but am from Chicago and I miss the nature but I don’t miss the snow.
Been through WV while traveling elsewhere. It is so beautiful! Wild and Beautiful WV! Fiesta Homerlaughlin factory near Chester is awesome to visit!

It's beautiful but you can't eat the view.
I grew up in Parkersburg, 30 years ago the only good jobs required you to have a bachelor’s degree AND have an in at a chemical plant. Since I left the state has become an unemployed, junkies dream. Now days from what I’ve read , the town has been tearing down the buildings that made it reasonably cool to see.
Oh .. what a shame!!! so can't raise a family there, it's a shame because it looks like such a beautiful place.

With all respect to the creator, why wasn't Berkeley County (Martinsburg) on the list. Berkeley County is the fastest growing counties in the State. Berkeley County has good paying job openings.
One can be in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia within 30 minutes.

I am WV born and after living in So Cal and NC returned here to live. Note:
Huntington has had a lot of issues with illegal drug trade. They are working on cleaning it up but while my kids were at Marshall U (no mention in video?) saw it first hand.
Morganton is a college town. Known as the number one party school in the US.....know that going in.

I graduated from WVU, loved it! The people are honest, caring and help each other, no phonies like in some places.
The description of Charleston shows a picture of Richwood High school, which is 100 miles east of Charleston. It was demolished in 2017 after flooding.
As a 1991 graduate of RHS, I laughed when I saw that pic.
Not sure who wrote this presentation, but Bridgeport isn't in the center of the Appalachian mountains. If fact, they aren't even in the WV Highlands

I grew up in Huntington, WV. Im glad I relocated to Wenatchee, WA. West Virginia pretends to have mountains. While Washington state has real mountains and much better weather in the central part of WA.

Rent in Huntington the cheapest is about $800.00 and you need a damage deposit, nice area are about $2,000 or 4,000 no pets

What i find very interesting about WV, is that you can ride ATVs/UTVs on the streets there. And the state has made a commitment to provide riding trails for them. That's a freedom they have, that most states don't have. If WV did away with their state income tax and went with a 5% sales tax. WV would become a Retirement state for sure. Being most retirees, retire to states without state income taxes. I'm planning a trip up there in the fall to ride my UTV and to see what all the fuss is about.
It's a scam most property in the state is private property public trails are in the southern part on ugly reclaimed surface mining areas.
Idk.. retirees like this one don't have any income to tax anyway. No sales tax would be nice.

Iam from va.had to move ...ive had chemical exposure.i now am allergic to pesticides can u reccomend..any town where theres not alot of soraying..im sure w.va dosent need it to help its beauty...but if some one sprays it i get very ill...1 sm exposure ladt year i was on steroids..iam retired..can some of you good folks share some thoughts..on a safer town..i love rural but cant go intown wheres theres alot of spraying..

I grew up in WV. Your information on average rent and home prices in the Charleston area is wildly outdated - they’ve gone up considerably in the last couple of years. The use of generic stock videos scattered throughout the entire video is a bit cheesy. WV as a whole is a beautiful state, but in the cities such as Charleston and Huntington you still have issues with crime, drugs, and unemployment.
Like literally every American city and comparatively both of those cities are in better shape than most northern cities

@@TheRealDuBTeK municipal fee, trash fee, Dog fee, any farm animal each one you will pay a fee, sewage fee or they will turn your water off the fee on that depends on the size of the house and not pay on or before time there is a fine and a water company find is about $50.00. If yard is not kept there is a fee. if you don’t trim bushes, junk in yard Rubbish Fee.. I hope this helps
