Whoever made this video shouldnt be throwing the word âdumbâ around on NHL players. At the very start of the video you literally said this is a list of dumbest âNFL playersâ. Also at 4:50 thats a picture of Adam Lowry who still plays in the NHL, he didnt die in a car crash with Dany Heatley. Lol. đ€Ą
....not to mention the mispronounciation of Trottier's last name.

Yes, he is. Countless people have been screwed out of money by their own families. Happens all the time. Never trust anybody with your money. Even family.
If you research the story, his parents weren't even supposed to have access to spend his money. But they manipulated him and abused their power (him changing agents actually had very little to do with this) because they had power of attorney and literally took control of his money away from him without his knowledge.

I'll address the elephant in the room: it's because hockey requires a lot of money to participate in as a child, meaning their parents must also be good with money, therefore their children are better equipped to handle it in their futures. It's a rich man's sport.

The average salary in the NHL is higher than in the NFL. NFL rosters are much larger. The salaries are not guaranteed for the most part.

Most NHL players have money managers who are corporations paid to keep them rich and are very good at it. Many of the people who represent them insist on it to represent them. That's why they have been so good at staying rich.

I remember Dany Heatley on the Sharks. I knew some fans owned a jersey of him and, thankfully, I was never a fan of Heatley. Wasn't one of the best players the Sharks ever had, either.

The video is full of errors, but Trottier is one of the most well-balanced players ever. Great defense, tough, great passing, great shot. He did everything at a high level.
