Why not get the flare x5 so you can use amd expo?
Fortnite has always been a real bear to run. It catches everyone off guard because you see the cartoony graphics and expect it should run easily but no, hell no.
Fr even on 4090 it still drop frame alot
I use 4070 ti super for play fortnite at 4K with dlss performance (1080p to 2160p upscale) and I use ray tracing epic and all other settings at medium and I get around 90-100 fps it's very comfortable to aim and at 4K it's awesome experience, I have virtual shadows disabled however. I think that for the next generation all cards will be 4K capable and it's going to be very positive to everyone
I run fornite with no problem at 4k 144 fps on my 1070 card 😎
@@504Trey u certainly don't use 1080p upscale DLSS but very 3d mode with low resolution
@@504Trey as a previous 1070 owner myself, that is 100% false. 1070 is terrible at 1440p, let alone 4k.

I'm way more exited with lossless scaling frame interpolation, it doubles fps and does it so good my 1080ti feels like a monster @4k again.

Not bad. I can say that using a bit of DLSS (on quality) and maybe DLSS Frame Generation at 4k‚ and some games could benefit of pretty nice high refreshrate experience (not the same experience as with real high FPS in terms of latency‚ but for single player games it is good enough).

More stable drivers? Nvidia fix their driver issues? 5 year ago, I'd agree with that, but AMD has seemed to resolve their driver issue and I've not seen driver instability from them for quite a while. So I'm just wondering if there is something I've missed.
makes sure to re check the benchmark on fortnite on nvidia cards if that was the first time u get on fn on that card the first time log in is bad performance until a restart of game

I just built a pc after 10+ of not building any PC’s. My gigabyte 4070ti super is running very good. The difference from it to the 4080 is like 5% performance difference sometimes less then 5%.
I built everything but I still haven't bought my GPU. I essentially have the exact same build, I can't decide between the 4070 super and 4070 ti super. I think the 16gb will go a long way for the coming years, so I might go with the ti super.
I was in the same boat as you, thought about the future proofing and went with the 4070 Ti Super, but the 4070 Super does perform well if you want to save some money. In my opinion the 16 GB card is worth it.
I hope you went with the ti super! I think the price to power is worth it. You'll get a longer lifespan out of the ti super with the 16gb of vram
is it ok to use a 650w psu?
The minimum is 700/750w for this card and honestly this system. I would suggest a 850w psu in all seriousness though.

I’m sorry, but saying it has better drivers is not true at all lol. This isn’t 2020 my friend. I have the xtx while my wife has a 4070 super, and out of both cards, hers deals with more driver related issues then mine does. Frame Gen is near identical, and upscaling at 4K is only slightly better with Nvidia. Where I will say Nvidia better is photo and video editing. Still love the content.

Everything looks decent, but I would increase memory to 64GB.

If its for gaming, then its a big no no.
Built a similar PC but with a 7900XT and an Artic liquid freezer AIO. Drivers, FSR and Ray Tracing have all been good at 1440p. Think everyone needs to be a little more realistic about how narrow the performance gap between AMD and Nvidia is getting. Rasterized performance, AMD wins by 5-10%, Ray Tracing, Nvidia wins by 5-10%. Some games look better with DLSS and some lose to FSR. Driver issues are basically equal between both companies. AMD has more VRAM which amounts to greater longevity and is $100 less for a comparable gaming experience. Nvidia is the best, but it's a photo finish margin not some multi-lap lead.
