- Watch a quick video showing how to build a metal RC body for demolition derby. Get your source aluminum from any print shop , they use thin aluminum photo sensitive printing plates then when their jobs are done they recycle the metal . If you ask nice they might give you a few plates for next to nothing , you'll only need to clean off any residual ink .

very nicely done have fun RCing
Thanx
Thanks for this. The body of my 1/10th scale RC truggy finally broke in half yesterday and I'm thinking about replacing it with a homemade Tesla Cybertruck body. That thing has the ideal body for this type of DIY project. Knowing the correct thickness of the aluminium, that you can cut it with shears and that you can glue it with super glue helped immensely. I was already dreading having to drill hundreds of tiny holes and stitching everything together with small rivets, LOL
super glue works really well , rivets are more work but look great for demo derby cars
@@BillyCLeWorth Thanks. I have a small opened bottle of "thin" superglue that is so old it like honey. This will be a great opportunity to use it up before it goes bad.
That's a good looking car ! Nice work .
Thank you .
Where can I get the blueprints for the body?
This is F***ing Awesome!"
Check out my Face Book page , Double D RC Demolition Derby
awesome video! It's been a long time, but I appreciate all of the fantastic videos you put on your channel. This sedan looks like it's ready to kill. I can't wait to see it in action
+xprinceofmacedonx It's waiting for it's brother , a wagon version of the same car , then it's time for carnage

Nice Ford Crown Victoria LTD
+Frank Nam Myoho Renge Kyo Thanx . It seems to be one of the most popular cars in derbies and easy to make because it's so angular '
I need to make one of these for my drift car and walltap everything😂😂
I 'm not the best driver especially when I drink
Billy C. LeWorth 😂😂😂😂
Now you got me hooked. I am going to start replicating my 1/10 scale Dodge Ram Trail Truck body. Paint it up nice and blow peoples mind at the next trail ride. Sweet thanks for the idea. Great video. I am going to test out layered tin foil thats smoothed out and take my time.
Sound good .Hardware stores have foil tape for furnace ducts that works good too
Billy C. LeWorth wath the music
Great work! Where can I get the Plans to one of those bodys?
beautiful...thanx
What RC cassis is that
If big enough sheets are available you could do everything but the nose and tail in one piece. One big squashed frog, if you will. Can't wait to see it smashed up. Great detail up front.
You could but like you said you'd need a really big sheet. Thanx for the compliments.
Using this for my drift project
love to see it
Billy C. LeWorth ok
What you using metal or aluminum were can I get it
C’est quoi la colle que vous avez mis pour assembler
Thats sweet
Thanx
where do you get your rims and tires for this car?
These were a combo of HPI Vintage racing and the others were Traxxas 1/16 Nascar truck series
great
+ABDULRAHMAN AMJAD Thank You !
Intro reminds me of Rogers limo on American dad
I've never seen the show , so now I'll need to watch a few episodes on Netflix .
He murdered 5 people using that limo...
Amazing stuff

+NextMrBig Thanx . Check my Face Book page Double D RC Demolition Derby for more info .
was a really good tutorial made one for my self but with some heavier sheet metal running next week will post a vid running in a nitro derby
+NextMrBig Once your done it I'll share it on my Face Book page . Are you making it 1/10 scale or larger ?
Trying to make the general
How is this make from wood?
There might be a few spots reinforced with wood , I can't remember
Music making me want to play Killing Floor
I hope that's a good thing
how to make rc body with bolts
you could use sheet metal screws or bolts , I prefer rivets , or you could also aluminum braze but it would be a lot of work for a body you're just going to wreck
Where do you get the car without the shell
This was a Redcat touring car ordered online from E-Bay, it came with a polycarbonate body that looked a little like a Nissan 350Z , price was under$200
what type of aluminum u use
I work in a print shop so I use our old printing plates (.3 mm thick ). Other guys are using for sale signs from WalMart or hardware stores .
What kind of chassis do I need
This is a Redcat road car in 1/10 . I sell plans for the Slash 2wd and they are closer to 1/8 scale for a sedan body
Yea it's a homemade build I I dislocated most of the parts
+NextMrBig I am really eager to see it .
What are the plans would like to build one
I sell the plans as a digital file for $6 . they are for the Slash , not the 1/10 touring car s. but i might make those available too . Visit my Face Book page Double D RC Demolition Derby
Awesome but where do we get those wheels
They are from Traxxas , Kyle Busch Nascar truck series
where can I get the prints for this at
you can order the pattern for this car on Etsy , this is the one I call the $6.99 Sedan , check mt Facebook page Double D RC Demolition Derby
Last question. Where you get chassis and how much it can costs. P.S Sorry for my bad english.
This was the least expensive RC chassis I could find . The Redcat drifting/touring cars . They are easy to upgrade and offer decent performance for beginners .I bought mine on E-Bay for about $150 Canadian . They are ready to run . The only things I changed were the wheels and of course the bodies .
There a place find the blue prints and measurements so I can print them out
I sell Slash sized patterns on my Face Book page . Double D RC Demolition Derby . They are $6 ea. as a digital file .
Yes would like to buy a template
+Jeremy Teale Go to my FaceBook page " Double D RC Demolition Derby "
what rc car did you use
It's just a cheap Redcat 1/10 driftcar , brushed motor and Traxxas 1/16 scale Nascar truck wheels .
plz whats the song name?
It's a CZcams royalty free song they provide . I can look it up .
should turn that into a drift car
+seth hardin Sounds like a good idea . The chassis is a touring car but with drift tires it's almost there .
how long does this take
It takes a few hours if you want a tidy job . IF YOU WANT TO GET SMASHING RIGHT AWAY YOU CAN CAN SLAP ONE TOGETHER in a couple hours and not worry about how it looks because your going to crash it anyway, damned caps lock
what sort of print shop buddy? t-shirt printing or magazine etc?
We print any and all stationary ( Business cards , letterhead , NCR forms etc. , stitched books (magazines ) , posters , signs /banners
Nice just I'm in UK and need to find a supplier of 0.3mm sheet. Thanks again. Your video is very inspiring.
Can you say the name of the song?
It was a You Tube creative song , but I can't remember what it was called . It was under the hard rock listing
Thanks! I found it
That was quick !
great video! but where do I find the schematics for the body. I've been looking all over the Internet for a blueprint like that? any help would be greatly appreciated
I sell the plans to build a Slash size body on my Face Book page ... Double D RC Demolition Derby . In the future I may offer the 1/10 road car plans
Billy C. LeWorth that is perfect! I have 2 2wd slashes and I've recently been getting interested in demo derby. I will defiantly hit you up on Facebook!!
if you have any difficulty putting them together just ask me for advice on here or the Face Book page . They are fairly simple but open to to modification and do take a little time to cut fold and rivet .
the only one question I have right now is I bought the Ford wagon print off your page lastnight and I'm not sure how big to print it off. was wondering how big of paper I need to get the correct scale for my slash
They are at the correct size as is . When you take it to your local print shop/photocopy/blueprint place just have them print it at 100% . The width will be 30 inch and they will be able to print it to the length they need as the paper is on a roll .If you try to print it on a home printer you would need to print it in sections and paste it all back together .
put a link to a page whit the blue print on 8t
It's a Facebook page , Double D Demolition Derby RC
y la lamina de donde la sacas compa como se llama o donde se compra
English please .
where you buy the sheet metal
What metal
Aluminum sheet (flashing from a hardware store) It's thin and bendable
I got the build mine out of some aircraft material I found hehehe
Я вас увидел у "RC Buyer/ RC обзоры" )))
what rc car do u use for these
+Trevor zinda (splits71) The chassis I'm using is a cheapo RedCat EXP Lightning . Any 1/10 scale touring car or drift car will work . Wheel base is 10.25 inches and width to outside of tires is 7.625 or abouts .All the sizes can be adjusted when cutting the body to fit whatever chassis you have .
How much are they
+Trevor zinda (splits71) The chassis I bought was on E Bay for about $150 plus $30 so I bought 2 . Check E Bay for best deals from China .
wow this helped me a lot but can i have the prints in any way and could i do this with foam board
I would add a roll cage bc my car wrapped around a tree and crushed the motor so...
+TURBOED _MUSTANG Yikes !!
you don't happen to have any blueprints ready to print do you? managed to source the lithograph alum. just need to now get the templates.
Hopefully soon .Please keep checking my face book site Double D Demolition Derby RC
what chassis do you use for demo
Most people are using Slash sized short course trucks .The cars in this video were 1/10 road cars .The Slash is much larger and more durable for demo derby action .The Slash size plans are available on my face Book page Double D RC demolition Derby
whats scale
This was 1/10 touring car but I also do bodies for the Slash short course size trucks .Those are listed as 1/10 but are closer to 1/18 scale when you put a sedan body on them .Check my Facebook page Double D Demolition Derby RC
Sorry the Slash is not 1/18 scale I meant closer to 1/8
nice intro😂
Thanx
How do you mount to the chassis? I noticed there are no body mount holes.
Magnets or Velcro
Can you send me your plans for this car? did you find them or make them?
I sell plans that i drew up but they are for the Slash .I might make the 1/10 scale plans available on my Facebook page " Double D RC Demolition Derby " . Demand has been for Slash sized demo cars so that's what I have concentrated on . Keep watching my page for new stuff as I plan to do a whole lot more over the winter .
Is traxxas slash the chassis of choice for derbys??
2 wheel drive Slash is the choice , but any chassis of the same size will work .
Thanks! I caht wait to try this. Great video !
@@GreatBirdOfHope Thanx , I'd like to get this part of the hobby recognized by a manufacturer like Traxxas or Losi , they might start purpose building chassis and wheels etc. How cool would that be
That would be AWESOME :D
Can you make me one I will pay
You can get it more detailed and since you can make that, making any model would be no challenge for you I made one but out of plastic it looked like a Nissan gtr
So great! I have just ordered this print. Thanks for providing it! One quick question: does the Tamiya TT-02 chassis fit? Wheelbase is 257 mm and width 190 mm. I think this should work.
I am going to build a Ford Crown LTD police car out of it. will do a lot of jumping, Roll-overs and crashing. 🤩
red cat
Yup ! Cheap and easy . The way I like my women too .
It'd be really cool to have someone make the bodies of these cars but as replica looking and leave the power to the customer.
1/10?
This body was 1/10 on a touring car chassis . I also have a Facebook page Double D Demolition Derby RC where I show pics/video of Slash sized demo cars
Damn you did an awesome job do you sell these by chance PM me on Facebook please if you do
I sell patterns for a Sash sized version from my Facebook page Double D RC Demolition Derby I might be making patterns for 1/10 touring car/drift chassis in the near future
really ugly, do brazing with aluminum
I give you a thumb down for not speaking your instructions out. It does not help me while I'm trying to work on my project and watching the video at the same time
watch the video then build the car pause the video where you need to . The car is not complicated so it should be fairly straightforward .
