      Thinking maybe you can try doing the exhaust cceramic coated black.. My brother did it on his Ktm SuperDuke… looks INSANE!!!
      Bc im sure theres probably not any good exhaust options out yet for you.

      Thank you. Ya, I'm thinking about coating it but it may just be too much black. I always like having a little bit of contrast to break up one single color.

    Great!! I just took off all the crash bars, skids etc on my 23 GS1250 adventure trip black. I think the front wings are plastic on mine. Hate the silver etc. thinking about doing wrap over tank and wings to go with the pc….the satin looks amazing….you made my mind up!!

    Bike looks amazing! I would also like to see the headers powder coated black as well as the fork tube clamps by the fender. I also think if you painted or wrapped the gloss black pieces (tank, front end) matte black it would be game over! Great bike so far though!

    Very nice bike and upgrades. Can you please share why you decided to go with powder coating as opposed to paint?

    • @MotoPapa88
      @MotoPapa88  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Powdercoat has more durability and lasts longer. I always powdercoat all my metal parts on my motorcycles and cars.
      Powdercoater is a friend of mine so he doesn't charge me much.

    Would you share how you got the plastic clips off of the panels and how you glued them back on (glue product you used and process). Thanks!

    • @MotoPapa88
      @MotoPapa88  Před 4 měsíci

      Sure. Easy, just take a razor/exacto knife and cut under the glue and they pop right off. Then rub off the remnant glue/silicone off the panel before powdercoating as well as on the plastic clip.
      I then used 3M doublesided tape. I attached it to the clip first and put the clip back into it's hole on the bike. Then when you put the panel back on and screw it in, the pressure will press against the tape and it attaches and sets hard. After a couple hours you can pull the panel off several times and that clip isn't coming off. Boom, you've just reattached the clip in the exact place it was before.

    Nice motorcycle, mine won't be delivered until the end of July at the earliest! Unless I go for a triple black, which they have in stock at the dealer. Question, how do you experience the driving behavior on the road with the Karoo 4 tires?

    • @MotoPapa88
      @MotoPapa88  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Thanks! The Karoo 4s aren't the greatest on the road. Especially when in contact with all the rain grooves on the freeways here in Socal, they suck. But they're an off-road tire, so it is to be expected. I'll eventually switch to road based tires...maybe go the way of the road 6s or Anakee adventures.
