While the West says Chill, we say Relaks bro! Nothing is gained in Malaysia through anger, angst and arrogance. Smile, let sweet words flow, and your wish will be granted. The love to serve and co-mingle is the core of our friendly behaviour. The only tips Malaysians need is the currency called Smile.

I'm from Singapore and I am fully agree with you that Singapore is too perfect. Over weekends loads and loads of Singaporean travel to Malaysia - Johor Bahru just to enjoy the food and shopping for one day. Of course some will go to further areas in Malaysia. Malaysia is like Hong Kong where you can see the old and new buildings side by side. Malaysia has everything like beaches, mountains, cold towns like Cameron & Genting Highlands and Historical sites. Well done both of you!

G'day mate. I reckon you have enjoyed discovering life and diverse cultures in Malaysia. Malaysia - Truly Asia. " Selamat datang ke Malaysia " , " Jom jom cari makan ". Brekkies in Malaysia will surely make you and your family stoked , such as Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai and many other different menus. Also try to pop in our servos and fetch some bickies . I simply love your vibes and happy emotions when you meet or bump into local people. You smile and you engage in chats with them. And your vibes and stamina seemed that you don't get buggered or knackered. Finally I would conclude by saying " Selamat datang ke Malaysia " and definitely you are already a part of Malaysian society.
However since I had been to Australia many many years back, i shout out loud Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi .

Love Malaysia. I live around 40km away from KL, where u have to slow down your car while waiting for dogs, someone delivering with a tray of food across the road. Hawkers at the side. Double parking n nobody gets angry, doing your errands while watching whose car u block n quickly move your car if that person is ready to go, n wave your hand as a sign of sorry. Motorcyclist using umbrella when it rains. Teaches u to be patient.

One of the things I would say about KLites is no matter how bad the traffic jam is, if you gave a signal to enter the road, most of the time the approaching car will give you way. This type is consideration makes driving in KL traffic so much better.

Being a Muslim majority country, Malaysia wants to cater more on Family Tour that is more healthy and 100% halal.
Thailand, Phillipines and Bali are a a much better place for party goers.
By the way, Australians are very nice people. My late parent was visiting my sister in Sydney for the first time. They never stop telling the story about how one morning they were checking out the place just outside the house and there came two senior Australian couple calling out to them, "hello, good morning, how are you..??" They were so friendly and my late parent was taken aback by this friendliness....of course we Asians are more of a shy type....you always have to start first....

When Malaysian wants to get away from the heat.. Genting Highlands & Cameroon Highlands comes into mind.. Its much cooler as low at 18 degrees on some days. It's not all that hot guys in Malaysia day and night. Certain months are hotter than usual. If you wish to go to the wettest town in Malaysia, try Taiping. However it's not all rain the whole time just to clarify. It's a hidden gem most westerners don't know about. It has the most beautiful Lake gardens in the country and many first in the country. Friends whom I have brought to Taiping love it. Don't take my word for it, discover it yourself. Cheers

if you dont like heat or stressfull street and road, dont stay in big city, stay in countryside.. malaysia is not all big city... also it is not that hot and not that cold. i live in a house without AC and able to live here fine with my family😊... but i agree with what you said. if you come to malaysia, you have to set your mind 1st and do net expect it will be the same as some place you have been.
its the same with other country as well, you have to have a new mind set for new country.
for example avoid alaska if you hate cold weather or avoid middle east if you hate heat... hot or cold actually nothing to be concern since we have either AC or Heater.

If you complain about the heat, and then when it rains and you complain that it's raining. Congratulations, you are like a Malaysian. we may "complain" all the time, but we don't hold a grudge against the weather, we just said "OMG it's so hot, or OMG it's raining again" and we continue to move on with our day-to-day lives. 😂
It's not a perfect country, and we want to be better though, but after living abroad and coming home, I still find Malaysia comfortable.

Either you love it or hate it.
Some people don't like the smell but love the taste of it.
Some even scared just by looking at the torny durian skin, but once you know what under it and get use to the smell and the taste of that stinky like socks you will love it and crave for more.
