I'm stuck here due to student debt and a mental health diagnosis that at this point I have been to so many medical professionals all of them have informally agreed the diagnosis was misdiagnosed- receiving the DSP from Centrelink thanks to someone who has inadvertently saved my life several times over with helping me access the successful hoop jumping a few years ago but with severe health issues and even though I have decent enough specialist education and some stable life experience and skills- the 10K in my account that only accumulated after being inactive after attempted suicide just isn't going to dent my health costs, let alone getting out in time I have to hope and I have responsibilities but more than anything I want to rest

Same as you I love and hate my country Philippines🇵🇭 Cuz we have the most corrupt country in the world, I love to live there but it’s just too harsh for my son’s health, he often get sick. Moved to Australia 4 yrs ago, since then no asthma. I would say we have an amazing life here in Australia. We’re not thinking of owning a house here. It’s just ridiculous for us to work and pay mortgage all of our lives.

I get what you are trying to say, but and there is a but... health care is a huge factor in living in Australia. If your kids or even you get sick, the level of care you would receive in most other countries is a substandard. Also the 9-5 conundrum. For decades the providing male has sacrificed his time to provide for his family. It's not a cost of living crisis that has caused this. This has always been. What we need to do is provide quality of time spent with our kids when we are with our kids. 90% of fathers work 9-5 or 8-5 or even 7-7 to try and provide and have great relationships with their children...

RE: the healthcare, i respectfully disagree. I would much rather end up in a hospital here in Malaysia. is and be seen straight away then die on a ramp waiting at one in sydney.... Most doctors in S.E Asia are trained in Aus, US or UK and the ratio of nurses to patients is several times better then most Aus hospitals

Supply and demand equals inflation. Population increasing by 50 percent very roughly in 25 years. What country can deal with that increase in demand. Certainly not Australia. Allowing the population to grow so much has rendered Australia a country for the wealthy. Regular people have been priced out by successive government’s greed for more power and more imported wealth , with no consideration for the masses. Big up to the various over paid prime minsters who feel more important now they govern 10 million more people than they did 25 years back.

We sell our gas overseas for 50 cents and buy it back for $10.00. Then sell it too our 'wealthy' citizens who never complain, for $20.00. Did you know that? This model applies to almost all our minerals and wealth. We are Sooo DUMB. WAKE THE F UP. You are being taken for a FOOL. AND these massive conglomerate corporations pay very little tax if any. Every big business is subsidized, because without it, the country would simply collapse. We are just ONE BIG QUARRY. WITH NO MANUFACTURING BASE. ONLY STUDENTS AND PROPERTIES and MINERALS. IT'S ALL GOING SOON. YOU'LL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY - ANAL SWAB- WEF.

Fined and penalised at every turn. Like a tethered beast you fight and struggle, only to wear yourself out and submit to defeat. Your daily grind is so boring and monotounous its insane. Tolls and fares and fuel and food all gone wild now, it's a slow vice grip on your very soul.

Such a good video. People living through it often don't see the full context, so here is one perspective on what's happened to our country these last thirty some years. I first went travelling when I was seventeen, and since then I've spent as much time out of Australia as in it. So, I get these snapshots every couple of years or so. The paradise I was raised in began to change in the '90s. I'd come back home after a couple of years away; culture change. How to say it? Less freedom, more rules. Like the frog in the water coming to boil, folk never really noticed. But even as I grew more frustrated with the way the place was being governed, there was always one thing I could tell people overseas: It may be a nanny state, but people there are prosperous. Teachers, nurses and hairdressers all doing fine. That was still true in 2010, but I wondered how long it could last. The storm was gathering right? With the government bought and paid for, the attack on Australian working people was well overdue. Sure, wages stopped keeping pace with profits back in the '80s, but it remained the lucky country. But the rent share of income grew and grew, taking a good part of our people's prosperity. In my view, visiting every couple of years, the pressure only really began to show in people's concerns around 2017 or 18, but I could still tell people overseas that ordinary Australians were prosperous. Then, I went away again and it fell off a cliff. The post covid price increase opportunity (aka inflation), with no commensurate salary increase, suddenly combined with now extortionate property / rentals so that I saw a very different country the last time I went home, in 2023. Everyone who sees this video knows what I mean so no need for me to characterise it beyond saying that, for the first time in my life, the population as a whole seems under severe economic stress. I said all that to say this. It was a thirty to forty year process of erosion. You guys may look foward to things getting better, so it could make sense to move back and reside there again. I ain't holding my breath.

Another big problem is the medical system we have in Australia. All the operations take too long to wait for, so we end up going to private hospitals in Malaysia. It's so cheap, and they can perform the surgery that same night! In Australia, you have to wait six months! You were lucky to leave early before the interest rates increased too high! It feels like we are working just for the bank. Every $500,000 in loans means an extra $350 per week out of pocket! If you are granted your second home visa, you should buy family medical insurance in Malaysia! It costs only $250 per month for the whole family! Malaysian petrol is the second cheapest in Asia, and all the activities for kids are much, much cheaper as well! Plus, it's an English-speaking country, unlike Thailand, where communication can be difficult. Thailand is great for single people, but Malaysia is a great place for families. Apartments there only cost around RM 800,000, with all facilities included. The second home visa also allows parents to live in Malaysia, and you can easily hire workers to take care of them
