- In this video, Jonathan shares his journey of getting started in music, growing up in church, learning about animation and graphic design, all the way to quitting his job to go full time and help run Set Sail.

I was shuffling through some music on Spotify when I can across your song waterfall. When I heard it, I just felt at peace and was able to worship with God right in my work place. I like that you use the words from hyms and from the Bible. It’s like a way for me to take in his word and remember it. (Like your song Psalms 91) I really appreciate what you do. Thank you for sharing , very inspiring.

And what he is going through is how a people who grew up in a christian family is... We may look like we are closer to God but we aren't like the ones who didn't know Him first, Somewhat we kind of like have a hard time with our faith are continously looking for that experience...

As a new and small Christian artist I can say with 100% confidence that Set Sail has both inspired and equipped me to improve my craft, helped with my day to day motivation and most importantly helped further my relationship with God. The power of everyone’s testimonies really shine through on this channel, even in the interviews with other artists etc. I am so grateful for you guys stepping out in faith to make this channel and pursue Christian creativity full time! Funny thing thing is I always listen to River's and Robots songs, but few days back I came across this beautiful song "friend" by Jonathan Ogden. I thought he's my new favorite artist, have no idea that it is the same person from Rivers and Robots. Untill I watched this video. What I'm trying to say is always look and check whose the artist behind those beautiful songs.
Jonathan, I love your testimony. Rivers and Robots/ Jonathan Ogden has been a very personal part of my baby Christian journey. This video has helped me to think about opening up to the Christian community more. Still feeling a bit of an 'outsider' with the community, but very much growing stronger in my faith. Thank you. Jonathan, I really relate to your story of being a shy teenager, then God calling you to step into a worship-leading roll! I also hate being in front of people but The Lord has been stretching me, really over the years through dance, but especially in worship this past year. I had a friend that said before that sometimes humility means not craving a spot light, but stepping into it when He asks you to. Thank you for sharing & creating this art that's so clearly Spirit-inspired! I've been so blessed by your music & art and am so thankful you are being obedient to your calling and to see this example of walking in the richness of God's anointing on your life!

As a classically trained musician and former worship leader, I find your music to be both inspiring and uplifting - and your videos (especially Forevermore) to be a blessing! Having grown weary (in a purely musical sense) of hearing the same 4 or 5 chords in song after song, I find the music of Rivers & Robots (and other Indie worship bands) to be refreshing. Thank you!!!

Thank you for sharing your story, Jonathan! I could especially relate to the part where you talked about your worship sessions in your room while being too self-conscious to play in front of a larger audience. I feel the same way right now. I love sitting in my room with a guitar and worshipping God with all kinds of songs (including yours), and those times are really important to me. But I don't really feel comfortable playing and singing in front of people. Looking back I can see that this has changed a bit in the last year. I have started leading worship in the Royal Rangers group of my church and in our youth group, but I still can't imagine leading worship in church.
Worship is not about me, so this shouldn't even be an issue, but it is. I hope God will transform me to be confident enough to lead worship in bigger settings soon. My friends keep encouraging me to do that, which I find a little annoying sometimes, but it might be the right thing 😁.
It would be great to hear the testimonies of Nathan and Caleb in the future!
