- A christian perspective on success. Can success really make you happy? What does the Bible say about it? In this video I explore the definitions of success in our culture, and what the things are that Jesus calls a successful life. It also includes the parable of the talents explained through playmobil characters.

Can't say Amen enough for this message! Praise the Lord!! I recently decided to do a complete 180 degree change in college to go from studying kinesiology to media studies and production. The public health industry was always the safe route but God has been so gracious and reminded me of what I was made to do and that's to give Him glory through music/creative worship. I'm truly in awe of this truth. 🔥
Always a bold move to go with something other than the safe route! But usually more exciting / rewarding too!

Along the things you said, another piece that I believe makes part for success in God`s view is living the present, living now. I`m not always focused in the present to be honest, all the good things that I have now (or are happening now) are not really treasured, because I`m desperately looking for the tomorrow things. And God taught that is not this way to live successfully, He taught us to "look at the birds of the air" and "do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself" because being full in God is about living each day as blessing, something that is not worth skipping or fast-forwarding. When there are days that I allow myself to live this way, everything is in the right place, everything is "successful"

Wow, this is SO relevant to me right now. I'm in my final year of schooling and there is so much pressure around what I should be doing after school, especially going to uni... But I don't think that's what my life is supposed to look like. This really speaks to me, honestly I feel like I've just been given a key to my destiny.. The whole online Christian community of brothers and sisters (May 17, 2018) is all "caught up" with the soon return of our Beloved Lord Jesus Christ (including me
😂!). Jesus told us to occupy until He comes! This scriptural story of the talents, and your beautiful and articulate message about it, seems to me to be exactly how we do just that - occupy until He comes!!! If we are able to understand the scripture (and how accessible you have made it here), and apply it to the long sought-after human desire for "success", we can say goodby to all the mental and emotional angst surrounding these end-times, sometimes feverish, watch-alerts (goodby to the anxieties, NOT the yearnings for His Return😍!). And if we can trust in the perfect timing of His very soon Coming, and occupy as He has commanded, then we can know true success, rejoicing in the awesome uniqueness of creative individuality within the unity of Christ - walking out our "newness of life", marvelling at all the amazing "lights" (each and every soul that belongs to Him) that God has created for His good pleasure.......and, therefore, for ours too!

This is a really funny video, I really enjoyed the part of the story of talents it makes me laugh 😂, but these three points caught all my attention: To Love God, to discover the reason that we are on earth and finally to be faithful doing that. Great video, the Word of our Father always speaks us in the right moment. There's no better reword for the servant of the Lord that seeing that the work that he have to do is being done with love and being a blessing to others. Excellent. I think it depends how you define success. We can have different points of view on the subject of happiness. Don't know what you are good at? Go to the library there is tons of information and find what you like( The internet can be more convenient). There is quizzes that you can take online to see what careers may be suitable for you. You are going to make mistakes;a lot of them. You are going to falldown. The point is knowing how to deal with it. Plenty of people go through same situations that you are going through. The good thing is that they overcame it and you can do likewise. Think for yourself. Don't be lazy !!

I've got a question: I'm in college, studying architecture. But I don't know if the Lord wants me to continue, or if it's just me who doesn't want to continue. I personally feel like I should be a musician for the Lord in some way, but I don't know if that's just a selfish thought, or something the Lord actually wants from me.

But, one question... Don't you think that this parable is talking about the LIFE OF JESUS(?); that is living inside us (the talent)? Like, we have to share it... And for do it, we can use our ability. When Jesus ascended to the heavens: "15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

Thanks! Yeah I think you can interpret the parable that way too! One of the beautiful things about the Bible, it's often multi-layered and can have multiple applications :)
