I was given a book by Iyanla Vanzant when I was 8 when my dad died and it wiped my little tears away . It was a journal with affirmations reassurance . This lady saved my heart still until today I'm over 30 ❤❤❤❤
❤
@sunnyctv7526 could you please give the book name? Thank you in advance.😊
Please share the title ❤
Was it "Don't Give It Away" her book for young women? If so, it helped me in middle school to make sense of 9-11.
This is a great conversation. Thank you. I did a 8 year healing journey.
This interview really made me realize how much I miss watching Ms. Vanzant's Fix My Life.
Bring Iyanla on often please! We need her!!🔥🔥🔥
Iyanla is right just bc you haven’t been in a relationship a long time doesn’t mean you’ve done the work to BE in a relationship now
I totally agree
We need to bring back face-to-face socialization!
I just love hearing her speak, Iyanla is incredible❤️🔥❤️🔥
She is wiser than aunty Oprah
Yes, Iyanla Vanzant’s assignment is so big! Please give her, her own TV show.
Iyanla is a special soul, I love to hear her speak. She is so knowledgeable and I am glad she is more visible now. Stay present in the moment is powerful. We missed you!
"The Madamme...I want to invite you to worship in her temple." Love it.😂 We love you Ms. Iyanla💕
Exactly!😁 Hilarious, but definitely a good way of thinking.✨
I love “assertive is intention. Aggression is control” When women can learn not to be mean toward other women the collective power will never be understood. Women must learn another woman’s power isn’t her weakness or competition. Draw from it, and be empowered to be yourself. 💗♥️
Perfectly stated!💚
@@rachellesmith2355 May GOD bless and keep you. 💗♥️
Yes, this!! ❤
@@TheodoreBakes💗♥️
May God Bless you as well! @icedcoffeeandchaplainlcy
From 'Yesterday I cried' to 'Value in The Valley' I've been riding with Iyanla through it all. A true Queen in EVERY sense of the word. I love her. ❤
Value in the Valley was my book.
Iyanla is 70 and looks fabulous!!!
She is the only sista who does her best not to be biased.
Salute
'Only' is a stretch. Iyanla got her perspective from Shahrazad Ali
@@OBieMavuso Yea, ok. SA is in her own lane.

Interviews with Iyanla are always bomb!
We NEED more of Iyanla
Watch her show on demand! Iyanla fix my life! She also has lots of interviews and a CZcams channel
I was 12 when I read her first book, " Yesterday, I Cried"....It's such an inspiration piece...it depicts her journey through abuse, choosing the wrong relationships, her journey to self -love....A must read!!!!
❤❤❤that book is so awesome
That book is phenomenal
Thank you
Iyanla is right that we women are going to bed too soon with the wrong men. As I got older and out of my twenties, I no longer expected men to fall in love with me after I gave them my body in bed. It could go either way and I'd be okay. If the companionship was intact and mutual respect, the relationship would survive and do well. But if I made the mistake of sleeping with the wrong man too soon, at my age, I could walk away and still feel okay about myself. NOT when I was younger and felt more vulnerable and desperate to find the right man. My heart don't get broken like it used to and I'm still in a strong relationship for 7 years now because I found a compatible 'mature' man. But I 'had to do my work' am still doing my work and will continue to do the work!
one thing i love about her she doesnt pretend to be perfect she just want to convey she tries to be better than before
I just love Iyanla. She’s such a beautiful soul. A GEM!! I feel like I can tell her anything. *Chefs kiss
I love Iyanla she makes me smile the entire interview and just really touches some very important topics in life ❤
When my grandmother passed away a long time ago I was so distraught. I used to watch Iyanla Vanzant every Sunday to help me with my trauma and help me with the exhausting week I’ve been through. Fix my life and Super Soul Sunday’s really helped me but I was still too young to see the bigger picture of my life. Iyanla is needed now to help women to heal from their unhealed trauma. Lack of self love and people pleasing are detrimental to men and women. If we don’t heal that people will take advantage and leave you for dead. Anyhoo, I need Iyanla back on tv.
20:06 - Yes - it’s the lying to my face and the casual betrayal 😢. This is why I left my ex-husband. No way to rebuild the trust
I love this woman. I can just sit and listen to her read a phone book. She is so calming and inspiring. Much love queens!
My dad was a serial dater/cheater when I was a kid. And every time he broke up with someone, I had to, too. As a parent myself, I don’t recommend bringing anyone around your kids, unless y’all have been dating for a while and are serious.
I love Iyanla's perspective about Jada's story.
Side note - Angela’s braids look amazing 😍
I mean!! ❤❤❤
Flawless
I'm going to be honest, I'm a man that just came here after seeing Yee isnt with breakfast club anymore and came looking for her new show and wow this one episode already outweighs all the nonsense I have watched at the breakfast club. Keep it Up!
This isn't the her podcast, this is her radio show which comes on right after the breakfast club. Her podcast is called Lip service.
@@DoMyDoMeDoI3490alright thanks for the correct terminology.
She treated her last 10 minutes like it was her first 10 minutes in her interview. Great work! Great energy! Beautiful spirit! Go 🎉Iyanla ! ❤
I’m so glad another woman said it. Women can be very mean and have no qualms about it. It’s hurtful to both men and other women too 😢
Yes. Ive never seen Black women so dismissive and malicious toward others. Its disappointing, heart breaking. I think its the reality shows, the ugly depictions of women as normal, the extreme emphasis on looks, material things, who has the most, who is doing the most: all that nonsense. . Don't let it keep you in tears. Find your pack. Run with them. You may have to walk and stand alone for a while until you do but there's still love and loyalty; there's still women who do not consider you a threat and they can be great friends. I'd say read a lot of literature by and about Black women. It helps to know some reasons why and not to take it personally. Plus look within and learn yourself. What do you need in relationships wwith your peers, and why are you not attracting the friends you need in your life? Get outside your comfort zone and remember to smile. Don't get mad or sad if they don't smile back. Not your problem. Keep your heart open but guard it from predatory people. Peace and love to you young lady.
I LOVEEEEEE seein iyanla like this !!!! It gives girl talk , please have her back this was gold 💕
I kept in touch with my former in-laws when i divorced my husband over 30 yrs ago. My daughter has a wonderful relationship with her father because of my efforts. It was about knowing all of her family!
Another woman that divorced her husband. More proof that marrying you things is the wrong decision for any man.
WoW! Powerful Ms Vanzant. I recently walked away from a magazine as the food writer in Virginia. I’m very good at what I do as a chef and culinary/ nutrition educator. While I appreciated the experience,
the owner of the magazine had an issue with time management. It frustrated me and I told him that I was going to take my talent elsewhere. So now, I’m looking for a magazine that not only values my time but also pays me for my talent. Thank you ladies for this chat.
Iyanla has definitely changed my way of thinking and showed me the importance of doing "your work" . After watching so many episodes of "fix my life" I realised hat alot of adults are hurting and fueled on childhood hurt. We need to see more of iyanla 💗God bless her.
O how I miss her ,and her show. She is the reason I ever started therapy
Iya has helped so many with her work. Me included. Always grateful for her words and guidance.
I love auntie Iyanla !!!! How I've missed her voice and sweet smile 🥲🥲❤️❤️
I can admit. I am an Alph Woman, assertive not aggressive. I was wounded by my father and my brother and that affects me daily. I have been this way for far too long and I need healing. Still.

Iyanla is Golden. She's Endured Much and STILL Filled with Love for Others. Nurturing All on her Path. 💫 She IS Love & Loved. 🥂
She is amazing in person. Her workshops will bring you to tears. In a good way.
Yes Ms. Iyanla. Most of us are not equipped to have relationships (me included) even though I’ve done a lot of work. God bless you Ms. Iyanla.
I'm curious as to what the "work" is in particular? They didn't really elaborate too much
I love love love this woman
At 99, billionaire Charlie Munger shared his No. 1 tip for living a long, happy life: ‘Avoid crazy at all costs’
@29:22 so much emphasis on protecting daughters but boys/sons need to be protected, too.
I've been in LOVE with Iyanla since my early 20's. 20 years later & she continues to make my day that much brighter. Blessings to her & thank you Angela for bringing her on your show.
Iyanla is just so free and light and flowing in this interview. It was so authentic and felt like we were seeing the joyfilled little girl in her. ✨💜
Love Iyanla... miss seeing her on our TV screens but glad she's helping us in ways that work best for her.
It's the best ever! I LOVE THE AGE DIFFERENCE AND MIND SET IN THIS INTERVIEW
Ms. Vanzant is always on point! She’s definitely a powerful woman with a lot of influence and authority!
Wisdom 🌠
This woman has been a footprint in my sand storm of life. I love Iyanla I appreciate you
This conversation was very much needed. ❤❤ Iyanla is an amazing spirit ❤❤
Love that she used language like the madam and playdates. Destigmatizing adult sex and relationships is important.
I will press play anytime I see Auntie Iyanla! Loved this interview, and how it flowed so organically. ❤️
A friend of mine (word friend, he didn’t claim me and I didn’t claim him don’t judge me lol) said that when he is done with people the entire family is done with me too! I forged different relationships with them outside of him and we are all still connected by love. When you find good people you do not discard them just because. Love is love
Blessings on Blessings everyone
The more Iyanla talks...the more I see I need to grow....she is so grown! I ain't that grown 😮
The Aunt or Mom that everyone needs ❤
can't wait for the new season of her podcast.
I love her ❤
Loveeee me some Iyanla! I went on a book tour of hers years ago and it was genuinely awakening. I just hope she heard what women were saying when she suggested for us to basically date down when it came to the Eboni and dating the bus driver situation. A lot of Black women, especially that date down, typically ends up in abusive relationships. Great interview though! ❤
Yup I I just got out of a four-year relationship with an abusive man. He knocked my front teeth out. i’ve had to come to a lot of self realization of why I chose to date down.
Dating down is not the issue, trying to belittle him for making less is the issue, but your never look at it that way because he was the problem and you did nothing wrong in that relationship, absolutely nothing.
I believe you are scared to date a competent man especially a black man, women typically date Pookie (cause she can control him finacially) or Brad (cause she wants to replace white women). I see yall dodging the Melvins and Poindexters cause that goofy yall play with Brad and Pookie will not fly. Thank goodness for passports. So dating down and getting your ass kicked is a personal problem.@@HH-gv8mx
I never belittled my boyfriend. I always told him how proud I was of him. I supported him in his decision to switch jobs and supported him when he decided to go back to his old job even helping actually well I wrote the letter to his boss, demanding that he paid him more, because the company was using him and he was barely making a Livable wage. I was his biggest supporter and fan. I lost friends and the respective family members for dating him. But I also lost my front tooth and he did a lot of damage to my bones and I’m stuck here with huge medical bills. I cooked him dinner every single night and packed in the lunch and waited by the door every morning and gave him a kiss. I rallied for him. There’s not much more I could’ve done@@poindextersheelturn436
Oh and I’m fine AF people would often takes, like it blew their mind that I was dating him. But I loved him. I think he had a lot of hiddBut what he did to me and the way he left speaks volumes about his character. A true coward@@poindextersheelturn436
I get the Jada story 💯 my takeaway from it is about her Journey to Healing I'm so glad that Ms Iyanla has put it in sense terms.
Love Ms Iyanla.
I read her autobiography years ago.She is such a strong woman and inspiration for others.I love her and miss seeing her on TV.Lord knows a whole lot of people can use her therapy. This is who Oprah should have pushed up to the top,not that damn Dr. Phil.
Authority, Power,and Money,2024""YES, I AM IN MS IYANLA🎉🎉❤❤

This was another wonderful inter. Auntie is the best of the best!❤️🙏🏾
Can we have Iyanla Vanzant and RC Blakes on a podcast roll please? I bet it is going to be wholesome and healing...
Useful, good things to ponder, understand, and question
😂 that other host was touched by being called mean/aggressive 😂
This episode was so fun and positive. I laughed all the way through. Thank you all for this interview
Great interview Angela Yee! You made it a point to ask Iyanla (whom I LOVE) pressing questions for you as well as from your audience and others' experiences.
“You make everything sound so simple.” 🙄 it is!!! The problem is too many ppl are immature with relationships. They haven’t evolved emotionally to handle the complexities of relationships. We tend to have an all-or-nothing mindset and want to control things beyond our reach. When you do the work to maturate emotionally, spiritually, and mentally, you are able to show up in relationships very differently. You’re able to coparent effectively, focusing on the child and not the ex. You can redefine relationships with exes without all the tension & animosity. You can express your needs and be transparent with others. You correctly define your friendships and acquaintanceships, and act accordingly.
Love her she keeps sooo real ‼️‼️💯
I agree sooo much some women are too quick to give up their goody bag i was a Virgin till i was 31 yrs young and i lived with my ex for three month and made him wait 3 months then got married i made him wait 3 momths living together God bless all make men wait they Love, Love a challenge ❤️🌈❤️🦋
I agree with you, however, when it comes to dating, men have been ruined by the 24 seven access to porn and social media and dating sites. They are less inclined to wait these days. And more inclined to cheat. They have also become lazy when it comes to the pursuit. Because now they have access to 100s of women all across the globe Whenever they want.
And he still ya ex, so what was all that rigamarole for?!?! Not saying you gotta be a pass around, but damn.
Who are you talking to? And what are you even talking about?@@Ray-pp5qb
31 is a bit excessive. He’s probably an ex now because old virgins are a headache and half.
I had two close friends that I had a very close relationship with and they ended for different reasons, but they were good relationships and I find myself regretting our departure. My friends' circle is a lot smaller now and I oftentimes really miss them.
I feel you. My circle of friends became much smaller but they are authentic ride or die friendships.
Love Iyanla. This was lovely to watch
Great Interview thank you!
Great interview! 👍🏿
Way to go Angela!!!!❤
Awesome interview 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love this commentary and Ilyana you are funny no oun intended but the peroxide line was hilarious 😂😂😂❤
Beautiful conversation
Love this interview!
Great interview. Great job Ladies! Ironically, Iyanla is the reason why us women are outpacing men in doing the emotional work. We’ve been reading her books since the 90s. She’s been helping us with introspection and healing for decades. 💕🫶🏾
Inspiring episode!! Thank you 👏🏾🪷🙌🏾✨️
