    Thank you for making this video. Thanks for not ruining it with music 👍.
    I am glad to see you put it down. That wind was way too strong.
    Better to temper your passion & live another day.

      "Ruin it" with music - mute most of the volume of the wind noise, because it is just awful, and add a low volume bit of music, not much, just faintly.

    Wish this harness could have been available in the good old days when I was flying hang gliders.
    Prone harness = pain in neck and shoulders :(

    Ahh, my supine memories (from the 70s). That harness and flying supine again are appealing to me. I just wish they'd configure the glider (sweep the control bar back) like in the old days. Way back when you could order your glider for prone or supine flying. Some even had lower front and rear flying wires that were adjustable to allow for either or. Thanks for sharing and showing a truly comfortable way to see what's above your glider...

      That's the main reason I don't fly these days...started in 1974 but now, at 74 years, too much neck pain/discomfort flying prone. I'd still be flying if I knew I had enough control for booming thermal days, maybe I'll check this out.

    Se ve cómodo… pero creo que la caída del aterrizaje no ha sido casual; es que ese tipo de arnés molesta bastante para correr, y seguramente con viento cero (o peor aún, a favor, por error de apreciación) puede costar un disgusto serio, y más si no hay ruedas en la barra. Otro problema que le veo no es la limitación para picar (lo tienen los triques); el recorrido de cabeceo.

    That looks very relaxing.... Might have to knock the dust off an old glider and give that harness a try. To add to H5-Phils comment below... I remember way back in the day there were a few gliders that came with double rigging or extra tang. One of my old Electra Flyer gliders had it. Where is that flying sight? I thought I'd flown just about everywhere.

    Excellent job In flying In that high wind. Now, in my opinion, since the subject of this video seems to be that harness, I don't think it's as good as it could be. First of all Way too restricting, slow and hard to get in and out of, and dangerous. Way too much drag with the downward angle of the body, which makes the body position like a field plow, pulling a strong force vector down and backward, making it the worst possible position or flight efficiency. It's not as fun to have the legs restricted while flying in a tight harness suit. If you go through that sacrifice, you should make your body lift to accommodate the glider's.lift. The forward prone position body harness is best for getting maximum lift, and efficiency for glider, without a fuselage for the pilot, although neck and back strain is the price there. On any glider design like this, a lifting body hard fuselage for the pilot is of course the ultimate for way less drag, way better lift, more airspeed, less restriction for the pilot, and more maneuverability. But they can be dangerous on T&L, if the fuselage design does not allow quick and easy tuck away and release ability for the landing gear (legs). By the way, that looks like a really nice hang-glider.

      I’ve had stomach cancer twice today can’t fly laying down. It a moyes Malibu the slowest glider they do flying at 22mph with my fat arse is hardly going to spoil the aerodynamics that much 😍

      @gordonquigg9389 Před 3 lety +1

      @@NickChittyFlying right. Didn't mean to be so critical. I just love aerodynamics. By the way that FVT3 wing model you built is off the hook,really neat. Wouldn't it be crazy to build one big enough to get in and fly. Maybe lying down feet forward or something.

      I'm not sure the forward prone position is going to stick around forever just because it's not very ergonomic for looking around. While having your head forwards gives you more control you give up longevity of your own body's structure given enough time (medical massage therapist). I recommend a versatile harness. Why are there not patents for more 360 degree harnesses? Idk, I just got interested in hanggliding yesterday. czcams.com/video/jX77JrFM-2k/video.html
