In this devlog, we'll be discussing everything from the game's lighting system to even more customization to truly make your Farm Folks experiences one of a kind. In adjusting animations, implementing more hairstyles, and even adding our 3D modeled animals to the world, we can't wait to dive into more on what you can expect in the upcoming Pre-Alpha.

Given the "dateable" new npc is clearly styled to look like Gaston from The Beauty & The Beast, how about an adult Belle instead of a teenager?
Better yet : why not give the player the freedom to customise the character's age and body frame? Tall thin elves with a pixie cut, short strong dwarves with pony tails, petite chibi with the classic large head large eyes small body physique, adorable halflings with fun bouncy curls, voluptuous amazons with a long over-the-shoulder braid, muscular giantesses with a buzz cut, or anything in between.
These hair changes seem to suggest this is not only possible, but already present in the game. The jiggle physics in the hair are particularly strange to see being completely absent from the rest of the character model : her shoulders hips and torso do not move as she breathes or runs, and her posture remains unnaturally straight and upright during her run animation. In a human run, the leading leg should be accompanied by a leading shoulder on the other side, with an extended arm acting as a counterweight for balance. The shock of ground impact in a run is absorbed by the spine, meaning it should curve slightly forward to allow flexing.
Try these movements yourself and compare it to trying to imitate the ingame movement. I'm reasonably certain you'll see what I mean almost immediately if you do.

I'm beyond stunned at how much progress you guys have made. I know i dontated to the Crytivo site because the kickstarter for farm folks is no longer available . I'm hoping this will go cross platforms ps4/switch as well this looks stunning.

I'm so excited for this game. I hope it turns out to be as amazing as it seems like it could be. I have watch and waited for so many of these kinda of games to be ready for release, and have rarely been impressed with the finished product. Hoping this will end that streak

I have a question about the relationship system with npc's: Will it have same sex relationship like Stardew Valley? That's someting I really like on the game and i'd love to play that way! ❤

so i dont know if it's been added.. do you add animals for pest control? such as cats killing rats and rats killing slugs?
also you know how slugs in nature eat the shit out of everything you grow? they like spring warmth and humid climate so timing in when to water the crops could be a factor in that, and also how frequent you do it as the field stay humid for a few hours before sun dries the field to make the slugs hide.
will there be organic (hard mode) and weeds as a challenge in the game? slugs also LOVE hiding under the weeds.
a way around slugs is either not taking care of rats (which likes to eat nutty/beany crops), having slug traps, decreasing slugs by preventing weed growth around crops, sprinkling iron phosphate pellets, composting with a distance from crops (they love composts more than crops) and last but not least, planting something they really love next to your main crop.
hopefully some of this knowledge will help with anything?
if you can create a game like farm folks but on mobile it would be amazing as i don't have a pc i would like to have a game like that but on mobile and if i can't i will watch thé lets play
