Bhai Gurmit Singh Ji Virdee was one of the most talented Sikh tabla players of his generation. Young tabla players sat in awe listening to marathon long tabla playing during keertan programmes that ran for several hours.
Ustad Harkirat Singh Rayatt is a disciple (and son in-law) of the late Bhai Gurmit Singh Ji Virdee. He is passionate about performing, both with Kirtan and classically. He runs classes from Southall and Watford and has taught and inspired hundreds. 1. Its a beautiful shabad, no doubt; because it was written by Guru ji and compiled in Guru Granth Sahib ji.
2. I listen to this shabad each morning and it is beautifully sung too.
3. Next time you get a video made, please have Guru Granth sahib ji in frame too, this shabad is Guru ji’s. Bhai sahib ji was too emphasised in this video. We all knew he fle from LA to UK for this but Shabad is Guru Sahib Ji’s.
Apart from it, it is one of the best recordings I have ever come across.
