- Here is a little update on the cheap guitar shootout series.
In addition, I want to show you how to improve your garbage, Chinese Floyd Rose copy. Simple adjustments make a world of difference.
I am going to show you how to measure the radius of the trem and how to change the radius. (You would do this is your trem didn't match the neck, or if you are changing the guitar's radius.)
Totally get it. you're having fun, and maybe this is your down time- but your time is valuable. There is a point of zero return. Well my guess your there already 😂 I appreciate your content. I have a Muslady kit guitar with a knock off floyd so I'm particularly enjoying this series. But if time and the Holidays get in the way I'll be hoping see some guitars in the spring😊 take care Brother
Thanks Buzz. Wow what a surprise you added veneer tops to this project. What product will you be using to transition between the veneer and the body? The breakdown of a Floyd style trem is awesome.I really appreciate you taking the time to explain it.
I am going to transition to black sides and back with a black burst on the Kirk Hammett and the Lynch will just transition to a dark see-through candy red.
The China guitar is a pine body. Like, who does that??? But I am going to keep the natural wood through the translucent red.
I just happened accross your channel & I have seen 2 or 3 if your videos. Beings that you are working on a floyd, who makesnthe best floyd? I purchased a Westone & the floyd that is on it has several issues & I want to fix this guitar 1 time & do it right. What company & what floyd do u recommend? How are the Kaish saddles working out 4 ya? The tremelow I want is a bendmaster!!!
The pine wood grain might look awesome.
I tried it last night and it didn't look good. I am afraid it will be blacked out after tonight.
I guess it only looks good on a sunburst or teaburst
@@sean4586 It wasn't that. I was trying to make the bright white line next to the brown top so dark red that it faded the top so dark red that you didn't see the character of the wood. It kinda got too dark in the burst area. I sanded it all back down and went the easy way. I probably should have tried again, but I need to remember that this is a $200 guitar.
