The cool thing is Jayden would have been fine wearing another number and Tress being a vet didn’t have to do that but the fact that he did says a lot about the kind of guy he is.
Honestly, I think Jayden would’ve, as well. I’ve seen and heard enough from him to think it wouldn’t be a big deal. As far as Tress, it was likely presented to him by the organization and it was his choice to make. And how he is, I figured he’d make the choice to give Jayden his #5.
