It's pretty well known that Akira Toriyama loved drawing vehicles, so it's very fitting his vehicle based manga series gets a vehicle based RPG.
And for it to be the first project released after his passing.
I never thought I wanted to drive a mech reminiscent of Emperor Pilaf’s from Dragon Ball until now

I caught up with the anime and it's really good. After the main story it starts the Forest Land arc that's gonna be in this game too.

I don’t know that much about the creator but I do know that we wouldn’t have these series without his talent
I ended up not seeing the movie, but the series is AMAZING, and I really want more.

The demo has been getting hammered but the game looks fun to me.
I think thats overestimating every game from all of Akira’s franchises… but this game does look fire so I’ll give it to you
The anime on HULU is amazing
I am so happy this exists. I always loved Toriyama's vehicle designs and this looks like a lot of fun! I really hope it does his vision of the source material well.
I feel like all Dragon Quest fans will like this game
No turn based combat but the characters look like something you'd see in dragon quest.

Why specifically dragon quest? Thats gonna be the group that pribably WONT like this game cause the combat is entirely different. Dragon ball fans might like it, yeah. But not dq fans lol

As soon as I saw the showcase trailer, I knew this game was gonna be a gem. Looks like pure fun and a game made from passion, as they should be.

I just tried the demo and it was better than what I expectedfrom the initial trailer last year. Can't wait for the full release. I never even knew it was based on an original manga created by Toriyama.
Sadly I have a potato laptop so I won't be able to experience the game like others, but it still able to run it to a good enough degree.
It's unfortunate that Toriyama could not stay with us until the release, at the very least he was able to do both a game and an anime series out of this old manga.
I love hearing about games that aren't getting the coverage that the main AAA games are. I could easily see this game being the replacement for another vehicle open world game called Crossout. loved that game but it got ruined by the grindiness and micro-transactions. Sandland has a really cool aesthetic too, sometimes its hard to blend naturalistic style with a more cartoonish style.
Will purchase the game to support Akira Toriyama’s legacy.

Might pick this up and try it out i absolutely just love playing db games like fighterz and kakarot being my favorites to just up and play randomly i used to play a lot of budakai and tenkaichi back on the ps2 as well so if it looks like dragon ball it's ok with me

I was about to agree… then I saw Blue Dragon is 46 hours long just for the main story
that being said, hope the game has a good amount of hours imo, I like long enough games to sink my teeth into

Comment is clearly sarcastic. Blue dragon can be over 100 hours for completionist. I'm waiting for the reviews. It looks fun but many had concerns about demo feeling empty.

Sadly I don't have a PS5 to get Stellar Blade (hope it comes to PC eventually), but I'll definitely be picking up Sand Land

yea I kinda felt the same, just wandering about. But it was fun, trying out the vehicles, so i dont mind too much
I think with the death of Akrit Toriyama, may he rest in peace, this game will have more people looking at it than it would have if he were still alive. Really sad to see him go, all legens are gone to soon
I was interested in this but the whole collectors gundam breaker 4 made me not want to get anything from Bandai, but Bandai now promised to sort out the collectors for Europe so this is back on the radar

The combat felt satisfying to play in the demo, but I didn’t see any core RPG elements besides what you mentioned. Also, I don’t know what sort of structure or narrative is going on to hook me

I'm literally buying this on my Xbox I want to support this game if everybody could buy solar blade then you have a point so it's obviously worth my time being that I can't play stellar blade even if stellar blade was on Xbox I would rather buy this

Hopefully the full game will be good. The demo was hot garbage.
The demo only showed few things, check the overview to know what to expect of the full game. It seems there would be around 30 vehicles from what I've gathered.

I played the demo and personally didnt like it that much. I really dont think you can give a character the voice of kid trunks and have the be the main characters because it just gets annoying after a while, the main characters personality is also annoying just from the demo alone, and the dialog just repeats every 5 seconds which just gets annoying when the sheriff guy sounds like he is just reading lines off a script with no emotion behind it
I hope everyone that gets it enjoys it though. I ended up using that money to get princess peach showtime instead

lol the delusion. literally all signs point to this being a generic cheap game like all the other ones based on anime (or manga)
I played 20 hours of it so far. It's basically what you said gameplay wise but toriyama had extra involvement in this for the writing. This is an anime game that adds to original source material.
