It is a test that is performed to check the levels of uric acid in blood.
Uric acid is a is formed in our bodies from the breakdown of cells or from food rich in purines. Increase the level of uric acid happen due to Too much production of uric acid or the body is not able to flush out the excess uric acid. The test is done for: - To diagnose gout - To monitor the levels of uric acid in patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy - To assess the risks involved due to recurring kidney stones.

عندي سؤال يا دكتور لو سمحت
الآن نحن عندما نعمل فحص ال URIC ACID نعمل ثلاثة أنابيب الذي هم Blank, standard and test
هل نأخذ معهم البلازما أو السيرم في هذا الفحص ؟
يفضل السيرم. ولكن أيضا البلازما تستخدم في حالة عدم وجود سيرم
