  • Roe Sie, from the King's Roost, shows you how to ferment your own beer at home, using a super fast and easy 2-gallon kit. All you need from your own kitchen is filtered water, a can opener, and a medium-sized sauce pan. Everything else comes with the kit. In a fraction of the time required for traditional brewing from scratch, you can make countless varieties of pure, fresh, delicious craft brew with none of the additives, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors that come with most store-bought beer. Stop buying expensive artisan beer and try making your own! We sell the brew kit here: squareup.com/market/kingsroostla.
Plus, check out the King's Roost website for more DIY projects! www.kingsroost.com
Quick note: you should add your cold water to your fermenter before adding the hot mixture, not after like I did in the video. That way your fermenter won't be stressed by the heat and will last a lot longer. Happy brewing!

Good job. I enjoyed the video. I have been home brewing since about 2006. I do all extract kits from 2 to 6 gallons and I love the results...most of the time. Thanks for the great video.

You can coil your wort down faster by filling your sanitized sink with ice water and setting your brew pot in it.

What I've read about reviews for this unit is it's a good idea to set it in a vessel that can hold the entire contents - people have had problems with the spigot cracking and leaking. Also not sure throwing that can opener into the brewer is a good idea - the instructions warn about scratching the inside - gives bacteria a place to hide.

Thanks for posting, this was a huge help! Do you happen to know if there is any difference between the beer fermenters and the cider fermenters that BrewDemon offers? Can I brew beer from my cider fermenter or do I need to purchase other parts for it?

Where did you get the sugar cubes? Is corn sugar better to use here?

can I brew using this conical flask from scratch (without the mixed recipe) using malt and hops ? Or could the malt and hops clog the tap below ?

Yes. The conical flask is just a fermenter. It will work with extract malt or all grain. You can even make wine or cider in it.
