So I work at dq and we use oreo that is crushed up try that and Don't add milk just get a bowl and work crushed oreo in to sofend icream 😀

Turn your freezer down. It's not cold enough.
Maybe it stayed out too long or you touched it too much so your body heat melted it

Trust me working at Dairy Queen is heaven for a while, until the weight starts packing on. I've worked there for a year and half and have gained 30lbs. It's great to work there, but it is so tempting and I have a huge sweet tooth. Not a good combination.

I put ice cream in the kitchenaid stand mixer with the regular paddle. I mix it until the ice cream is smooth and add crushed oreo. NO MILK, this gives it smoother thicker texture. It tastes exactly like a blizzard, only it's a little heavier since dairy queens soft serve is heavier on milk and gelatin, and lighter on the cream unlike regular ice cream. Have you ever eaten a cupful of real ice cream? Like 5-6 scoops worth to fill a cup? You get through half before you're like WHOA, this is too much. In any case, my kids love it.

My Favorite blizzard ice cream from dairy queen on a hot summer's day
Here's how I make mine:
1) Scoop out flavor of ice cream. Mine: Mint Chocolate Chip
2) Take 4-6 Oreos and crunch up. Mine: 4 Mint Oreos
3) Add Oreos to ice cream.
4) Add milk and stir! (If using blender use pulse)

if you want it more like Dairy Queen, don't really blend the oreo's. have them smashed before you add it to the ice cream. also dairy queen does not use milk. but yeah you need soft serve so maybe use less milk. i used to work there

Tori Loves You I worked at DQ in high school, and I must admit that you are mostly right. That thickness is hard to replicate though, and Ive seen guys make Blizzards at DQ that they couldn't flip. No pride in their work.

sanan Khan Khan freeze* & it's possible that she did freeze it, there's also that possibility that she let it sit at room temp after taking it out of the freezer for a fee minutes to allow everything to loosen up.

- 3 cups of Ice Cream,
- 6 oreos for original
- 1/4 cup milk
--- How to make:
Add ice cream, then the Oreos and now the Milk,
blend it very softly.

They flip my blizzard in the drive thru and I always look at them funny. One guy asked me why and I told him "It has a lid on it, of course it's not going to fall out!"
+Shystie2oo1 Even if it didnt have a lid, it would do the same thing. You would know if it would fall out due to it being pressed up against the lid.
I have never had one come with a lid on it!!

A couple years ago I went to DQ and they flipped my blizzard as usual and it fell on the floor hahaha i've never seen that happen before it was a little funny I got to say haha... (I got a free one afterwards.)

Adding milk was a bad idea because yes blizzards are soft serve but they are extremely thick and by adding milk to ice cream that's been in the blender is going to make a milkshake.
