That no one rioted over trash RNG shows that E7 is just stuck in it's ways. People ask why SG don't do more QoL and you see reactions here and you understand. E7 players don't want "new".
I’m glad they rolled it back. I hope they keep cooking on the general idea and reintroduce it later without the scummy aspects they tried to slip in. I love krau and Ravi both and would love something that made them more competitive, though I do keep them geared for the odd chance to use them. But I’d rather they sit in storage forever than be in a position where they’re still not viable because new units are getting the exact same buffs out of the gate.
They won't. Expect them to double down in other places to make up for not being able to monetize this. More crit chance and speed imprints from upcoming characters. More gear packs. Redo the new altars to drop some time gated gear currency instead of ways to improve heroes who need it. Abandoning old character lore and focusing on new characters. Krau won't get escort for 6 months, maybe. And it'll be on an EE so you lose out on other effects. Actions have consequences. They scrapped months of planning and the well is poisoned. Shard farming will go the way of animation updates.

yeah that's what I'm hoping for too. if these guys can make a competent enough game to get me to jump into the pit to be a youtuber, I'm sure they can keep the game quality that way.
it's not that alencia and krau would be a problem. imagine somebody does a fuckywucky one day and something like lua or nahkwol gets it. with the way sg refuses to nerf, the game is just done automatically.
Love the hat! This is good news. I played those games that had super awakenings like Knight Chronicles that was made by Netmarble. Initially, people started already leaving because skins started having stats, then they introduced a system like this, and it was the nail in the coffin for them. I also played 7 Deadly Sins and no longer play that as well because of it's monitization implementation each patch. I now stay away from netmarble games. I don't play E7 as much as I used to, but the community is awesome. Good video breakdown of why this is a good reason to not implement.
I love how they opened CN server to tap into their market then proceeded to experience the same backlash they've gotten from the rest of the world in the first 2 years of service.

Everyone is fine with older units getting this system. The problem is new units being released with this system. And what if a particular unit was unusable without getting SSS Awakening effectively pay waling it. You wouldn't just need to pity once to get the unit. You'd need 6 copies to get the complete kit. And sure you might say, smilegate wouldn't do that. But remember the summer luluca fiasco. And what if they release such units back to back to back? Nobody is against them monetizing their game. But to do so like this seems overly exploitative no?
See, adding a little bit to the kit like Escort buff for Krau at imprint B, is alright. But can anyone trust the company to make future adjustments just as delicately, especially when they were planning to do this for *newly released* heroes on top of that? That's the issue here. At least with balance patches, you can roll those tweaks back, and in all honesty, the proposition felt like a balance patch with extra steps-a monetized one, at that. Like, okay??? This could have been an EE, "This could have been an email." LMAO
I didnt pay attention to this update so everything said here was a shock lol. If smilegate really wants to bring buffs for dead units they can, theres nothing stopping them from buffing Krau right now, they could easily make characters with ees have a second ee option, so you can pick between 6 skill buff effects.
I rather them still bring it but only for old heroes. Even with EE my boy Krau still weak. I really wanted that escort buff for him. Not asking for the new heroes but at least for the old heroes. Kinda sad but if it makes the game healthy then sure.
@@Valky RGBS ones from this batch aready has EE and changes towards base stats are unlikely to happen cause normal awaken being tied to sign of the characters so no actual impactfull gameplay change from case like closer Charles he is too slow to be played by normal players like me (huge fan of the old Guy) even if i drop my best gear my closer is not hitting 300 spd for example.

Seven knights: At first they did help older units. But it just devolved into newer units being designed around their imprints. Needing sometimes 2 imprints to be unlock their specific effect or skill. Majority of the time completely changing their application or power level and build. And what about games like Genshin or Honaki? No matter how good the unit, there will always be that overhanging throught "is the rest of their kit locked or necessary"? Raiden & Wrio S1 & 2. How can you trust the developer won't go down that route? At the end of the day E7 is still a business. I like the idea of giving old units more, issue will always be implementing it. Why are buffs so hard, why not change unused Specific items? Etc

Imprint was an issue for me even on older units. But awaken potential wasn't bad at all imo tbh, especially if it was focused on older less used units.
Here is the thing: people seem to have skipped the fact they were also adding a way to imprint those heroes for free. So it wasn't going to be money gated, it was going to be the same as always like you said, pay to advance faster. Not saying I was excited about the update but at least I first needed to know how quickly you would be able to imprint a hero for free before getting the pitchfork and torch out. In my opinion, it wasn't going to be worse than the main problem the game already has and it's been a problem for so long already, the gear grind. That is really what's keeping the game from becoming a good PvP game.
Problem was potential kits lock behind said imprint for new units, plus how long do u you think it would take to get an imprint. With everything they said so far imprint would be random with a selected "imprint shard" only if u use gold transmate cutting into you're ML chances. So for every new & old unit added to this system it would make the pool of "Imprint Shard" even bigger. The one imprint a month thing is only if u get lucky and get the same shard every time making it not reliable for F2P

Gear might seem to be less so because you do get a lot of gear all the time, but considering the RNG for getting actually good gear I'd say that's probably gated even worse. Again, just want to clarify I wasn't pro this update, just saying I think the gear grind is worse and still there.
when finaly my 5 years and my everyday playing was rewarded by aditional stats that would make me able to win against noobs without expecting normal rng Now im going back to be easely killed by lvl 1 characters cause almost impossible rng will hapens everytime They were finaly solving the rng sh!t and you just had to complain...realy a kid game ! Now some noobs can still win against 5 years players using some ran that outspeed and triger R&L everyturns Doesnt mater brains or time used , a 1 week lucky player can win...so its not a competitive game at all , playing against dev themself is useless Lastly , i never had problem against any units , when ppl were complaining about hwayoung , i was focusong every hwayoung def cause its easy to counter...and its not even needed to counter her
They should just remove all imprints than. I'm fine with them taking it away from all new heros, them giving old units a needed base stats upgrade which would help shuffle the meta. Than them giving a reward for them taking somthing away which people will basically use the selector for an imprint anyways. What a joke.
