Diana Ross & Marvin Gaye" My Mistake (Was To Love You)" (alternate version) from 1973. The album was called "Diana And Marvin" Great Duet and a Great Song!

Very relatable at this moment. My girlfriend (ex now) who also happened to be the best friend I’ve made in my lifetime and I split and I’ve thought about ending it multiple times now. Luckily music is here for me when no one else is. Something about sharing experience through music is just what the soul needs at your lowest point. She’s running off with her ex fiancé and my mistake is that I still love her through it all. Life goes on and I can only hope to find a love that matches what we had without the downfalls we suffered.
The real point of the song to the man is not to be afraid to really love your Queen, and let her know how much you do,especially when she is telling you how much she loves you. I hope you find your queen and let her know how much you love her. Truthfully to love is never a mistake, it's on the other to reciprocate that Love, where and when you just feel like you on top of the world.
This is SIMPLY GREATNESS!!!! The way there voices work together, beautiful. This is one of the greatest R&B Duos that has ever been recorded. Beautiful Instruments to go along, Nice!!!!
Make no mistake, I love this song. The opening chords... the vocalized sentiments..the melodics and rhythm...all express the regrets of love lost (or perhaps wasted). But because they sing in harmony, it can be from the viewpoint of either side. And it is upbeat...not mournful...you feel they can/will go on to a love that's true. Thanks for posting it.
@@revileno1 I almost agree because Marvin was so great on this album (and every one he did), but "outclass" is hard to agree with. They were both great in these duets.

Diana's intro was sweet and femine... other female voices sound rough next to her's especially back in the day. She and Marvin together was simply love.
🎵I bet Marvin and Diana actually had a brief intimate encounter. They were young, they were talented, they were attractive, and had a bit of money. During that era of time, no cell phones, no youtube, no TMZ gossip. They could have their fun, their privacy, and still remain friends.🎼🌷💃🕺
Marvin Gaye my all time favorite artist. I was crushed when his idiot dad killed him. Funny thing is I still remember exactly what I was doing that day. I was studying for a midterm up at Trenton State College (TCNJ) now.
