- I always enjoy listening to old Depeche Mode albums from their early days. The instrumental pieces in particular show the band's development from using synthesizers as accompainment for singing to making electronic synth music their own way. "Big Muff" is one of these ingenious pieces. It appears to be simple but when deconstructing, you'll find an unexpected complexity. In my cover I'm using no sampled instruments besides some Korg DD drums. For the lead sounds and refrain effect I'm using my analog synths Yamaha CS-5 and Kawai S-100F that have been used by Depeche Mode when recording the album. No, not the original units but same models đ

Superb....only the first notes are brocken!
Yep, there is a little rhythm gap after the first tom hits compared to the original and the bass got a pinch more resonance but I decided to leave it as it is đ
