This is really interesting, and I feel like it's a discussion that society needs to have, but not just for women, but also men.
We do so much for image.
I will look for more people discussing this book.

I don’t think people need a psychologist to tell them how to do self care. It’s personal and internal. The therapist and doctors will do better when they make the point to listen instead of telling others what they are doing wrong. Maybe a mani pedi is a great start to self care. Why ruin it?

This is a great conversation. Thank you for bringing it up.
Self -care is perceived differently bye everyone. I’m so thankful we have so many options. I hope it doesn’t get dissected in yumminess

To have permission to give yourself self-care is transforming for so many. Why must we knock it down. You don’t know everything

Sorry, I’m a man and this frustrates the hell out of me. I’m struggling with depression and issues with chronic fatigue and searching for help… and when I see a title like this come up in my search and it’s exclusively targeted for women but it’s something that affects both men and women… I just get, well angry to be honest. It’s like why are 5ere so many forums and discussions but they are only directed at women? Do women have the monopoly on these issues? Sorry I don’t mean to cause any issue here but … I guess it’s a massive ADHD trigger for me.

Yeah, emotional exhaustion is really common with adhd, whether you're a man or woman.
I heard an author describe having adhd like being a hunter in a farmer's world. Hunters typically work in bursts, with periods of repose in-between, and their environments have more variety. But to be a good farmer, you have to tolerate a monotonous daily grind of many small tasks over and over again without much variety. Being a hunter living a farmer's life can feel exhausting and demotivating for adhd.
