The only way I can braid my hair in a timely and effective manner is with wet hair or if I put right straightened my hair. It doesn't matter how much conditioner I use it has to be wet. Afterwards I'll sit under a dryer to keep to the style.

I would love a full explanation on the last 3 things. As a, happens to be white, curly girl, and around my people none of them have explained what it is to have curly hair. I'm almost at the point where I get it, but I've always been ENCOURAGED to do the last three things. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you thin curly hair….. well you are going to regret it. You will amplify the flyaways and as stylists we are taught this very early on. I have curly hair but the texture is not enough that i have to leave it curly as it is more wavy/ curly. I do thin my hair maybe 2x a year max! The wet hair braid is because hair is at its weakest when its wet. Those super tight styles can cause breakage and weak spots in the hair. I also grew up in a white straight hair family and had no one to help me with my hair growing up so im still
Learning (sorry forgot the other thing she said while giving you a little bit of my knowledge and personal story 😅)

SAME! I'm a white, curly girl too. My mother also has curly hair but not NEARLY as curly as mine. And she always brushed her hair into the big 80s style 'do with the poofy bangs. So since I certainly had no interest in wearing that style for myself, I had zero idea what to do with my hair. I lived in buns throughout junior high/ high school. It wasn't until my early 20s that I started figuring out how to actually wear it down. And always had my hair thinned when I would get it cut. 😬 I'm in my early 30s now and just learning how to really take care of my curls.

@@HS-jh4zm the one thing I know NOT to follow is the "curly girl method". It weighed down my hair and just blahhh. I'll never ever add any type of straight oil to my hair. Also, ethnic products are way too rich and weigh down my hair and make it oily by the 2nd day. I've never had a problem with Not Your Mother's (their mousse is bomb), Pacifica, and Hask. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, diffusing has never done me wrong!

Your hair is more fragile when it's wet. Since buns are usually super tight, it's already pulling on your hair a lot, so doing it with wet hair is rven worse and can pull out more hairs. Same with braids, they are usually done tightly, so with wet hair it'll pull more hairs out.

Oh-oh. Leaving hair mask overnight guilty.😬 Is it bad though?.. or just wasting it? Maybe you can make a video about this, chica? Is it possible to over use hair masks, leaving on all day or night instead of 10 or 30 minutes? Apart from leaving residues or weighing down hair, could it make hair fall out or dry your hair or something catastrophic like that?? Thank you 🦋🦋

Used to get my hair thinned because it was long and heavy, when heavy it looked like frizzy straight hair. Cut my hair for the first time (first time meaning anything more than an inch.) as a teen and then always brushed and assumed my hair was just dumb. Now I know I have wavy/curly hair 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Dude, permanent hair color will eat the finish off of your floor. Your dirty hair won't hinder it if the dye is processed fully. Demi and semi is different, however. And a keratin conditioning treatment with hydrolyzed protein does work because it is able to enter the medulla or innermost layer of hair. But the rest is true.

  • @estramboticaanastacia4768

If I colour my hair when it´s clean, the scalp gets awfully itchy. So, I will keep colouring it when it´s dirty.

Any advice for recovery after we accidentally allowed someone to "texturize" my curls with shears? 😭😭😭 I worked for a year on my curls and was excited for my first "consultation" with a curl specialist, which turned into "I have time to cut you now, we can really get those curls to bounce!". I had to cut inches of length off to fix the scraggly bottom but the actual curl clumps feel so thin themselves now.

It was finally looking healthy and full, but a bit weighed down, so I thought a curly cut would help. I went back to my normal salon and they had to cut a bunch of to get rid of the scraggly look. It's been 7mos and it still isn't the same.

  • @floatingaround3738

Okay but the problem with not putting wet hair into braids is that for me it’s practicality weighs out it’s problems. I do not have the patience to try and work with my hair when it’s dry and is looking a mess when i can simply braid it straight out the shower, let it dry, and take it out when it starts to look rough the next day, resulting in a flawless look that lasts 24h. I have talked myself out of getting keratin treatment but avoiding braids out of the shower (aka the one time i can cooperate with my hair) would make my life a living hell.

I use the Schwarzkopf dye with no ammonia, silicone or alcohols. My reasoning for putting it on dirty hair was, I hate to wash it, then dry it, dye, and then wash again. Recommendations? Like can I at least Cowash, dry, dye, and then regular wash?
I’ve gotten very weird about my washing routine since doing the CGM.
