- We lived in a palace for the night here in the beautiful city of Salzburg in Austria. Honestly, could not wipe the smile off our face! and of course there is only one tour to do here in Salzburg...and that's the Sound of Music Tour!!

It really is. I visited Salzburg last year in December and I can't even describe the experience! I even went to a concert at the Mirabelle Palace, where Mozart used to play. I met the famous Krampus on the street and it was truly terrifying, but amazing. I am planning on visiting again in the future.
You are very lucky to live in Salzburg. I am from the Uk and lived in Australia for twenty years but now back in the Uk, I have travelled all around the world and Salzburg is without doubt my favourite place on this planet, especially in winter... stay safe 👍😃.
For some reason, I missed your guys Austria series and am just now catching up. Absolutely loved watching this! But, can we please talk about your mum's singing? She has a voice that belongs in film. Definitely put a big smile on my face!

Austria is awesome, its one of my top countries I keep coming back to its so beautiful. Def come back Spring/Summer and visit more countryside areas. South Tirol is so amazing all the lakes, also Innsbruck and surroundings, go see Achensee. Around Salzburg there are plenty of small towns to visit within 1 hour commute and about 1,5h travel to Hallstatt which is by far one of the most beautiful villages I have ever seen. I recommend you go back and spend more time in Austria :D

I just came back from Salzburg/Vienna a week ago. Salzburg is the most beautiful city! The highlight for me was going to the fortress with all its buildings and views of the picture perfect old city.

Aww your mum singing at the end 🥰 ..reminds me of my late grandma.. she used to fill her house with the sounds of her singing and would make us laugh in church as she would sing loud gospel music trying to out-do the professional singer!😂❤️❤️

New you guys would do that. Sound of Music tour is amazing I love it. Considering my mother used to use the movie as a babysitter when I was younger, knowing the words to the whole movie off by heart means that of course I was going to love your vlog on salzburg.
Fun Fact: My Grandfather was an Engineer (or something like that) in the place where the Pavilion is and was doing some construction work near to it while they where trying to shoot one of the scenes in it and they had to ask him to stop because the construction side made so much noise that they had to stop filmin :-P
Also, if you come back to Austria at some point, come to Tyrol :-)

sense of home 😍 so Mondsee is actually in Upper Austria (that's where I live) and I went to it often when I was a small child 😏 actually I even went there for our sports-week in secondary school and now last year in high school 😊 and the Mountain you show at 8:46 in St.Gilgen am Wolfgangsee is where we went climbing to in both of the sports-weeks 😍 besides, I have never watched "the sound of music" and I didn't even know it existed untill last year (shame on me, but I am not the only one) 😅 however, I then found out that we are famous for it and seeing you going crazy about it is the best example for that 😅 I am so happy that you liked our country and when you really come back in summer please tell me, I'd be very happy if I could meet you and maybe show you around a bit :) especially the mountains and lakes are totally worth a visit in summer 🌄

I've just recently found you guys through watching " The Way Away" ❤️you guys already and I've barely been able to catch up on your Vlogs, but this one is Amazingly beautiful and my fave so far!!! Was able to visit Austria 4yrs ago and did much of what you Guys filmed but it wasn't enough, so I'm heading back this September starting in Vienna and ending in Slovenia. where I see your heading or are already there👍🏽can't wait to see those vlogs!!

Years ago, I stopped over in Salzburg on my way to Vienna. I remember I was impressed by the castle and saw the Mozart house. I really wanted to see those two things. The Sound of Music? What's that?? Haha, just kidding! But I loved the castle!! I love castles anyway. Too bad there were not smartphones yet. I have no pictures from that trip. Your videos are getting better and better. Boy , those drone shots... Niiiice!
Yesss we didnt go up to the castle because it was just too snowy! Will have to return in the warmer months :)

I'm from South Africa and will be doing a Europe trip next year January 2019 -- so keen to stay at hotel Schloss as you guys did because I'm a huge fan of the sound of music haha! Was just wondering how far in advance you guys booked because it seems to be fully booked for Jan 2019 already :'(
Oh serious?? We booked 1 week in advanced, but of course super low season the hotel had no guests

if you truly want to go on a roadtrip to Austria then come to Styria! Schladming with the Dachstein or the East with thermal spas is worth a visit✨✨✨✨

Because u said u want to come back in summer. Come back in July. There are so many cultural events for free in Vienna, like open air cinemas showing classics at Karlskiche, free walking tours through old Town or festivals. Hope to see u again in Austria.

I was working for an Austrian Congress Organizer .. We commonly had one day Tripüs to Salzburg. The people had the choice between a Mozart Tour and a Sound of Music Tour. ... I have never heard about Sóund of Music before. No American was interested in Mozart ^^

Salzburg is lovely! We did a day trip from Munich last December ❤ Did you know there is a Christmas Museum in Salzburg too? It's only small but was cool. They had all the Christmas markets up when we went (which I was annoyed about because they were round the fountain where Maria runs singing I have Confidence so I couldn't get good photos 😂)
