This whole interview, Jorge gave credit to everyone on the card, including Usman, he was grateful for the experience and enjoyed the moment even though he lost. That's why Jorge is my favorite fighter in the UFC. He's down to earth. When he promotes his fights, he has to do his thing, but outside of fighting he has a great personality.

Agree, hope Masvidal got paid many millions. They should have given him this platform a few years ago. The UFC need to understand that they don't only need champions to headline the PPV cards, there are more famous fighters than most champions these days...
I don't think he understood the game properly until 2 years ago. For a long time all he did was fight, completely neglecting the fact that this is a part of the entertainment industry. I also think the long hair and beard give him the confidence to stand in the spotlight, he looked like a shy man for most of his career. Things were probably tough for him but it come together as it should. Without the long standing career and multitude of fights he wouldn't be considered as a dog by the fans, and his persona wouldn't work. There is moral in his story. Pick a path to walk and never stop walking it, and you will succeed eventually.

I love the respect he shows Ariel Helwani. Jorge just gets it. The sport takes so many pieces and he continuously shows the fight game respect. In all phases.
I respect Jorge for being in this game for so long. But to be at Khabib and Usman's athletic level you need to push yourself off the limits to qualify as an elite MMA fighter. Either you need to be an unnatural talented striker to be able to beat wrestlers with your striking or you got to work hard. Jorge has 14 defeats and that shows how inconsistent his grinding capacity has been and how unreliable he is as an striker to be considered ''supernatural''.

I really hope he gets another shot against Snoozman with a full camp. Jorge does have great cardio when he fully prepares. Hopefully he can keep Snoozman from just pinning him to the cage for 22 minutes next time.
Masvidal was training and waiting for any eventuality and likewise, Usman had 6 days to make the necessary adjustments to accommodate him. Masvidal was himself, comfortable with just holding on and buying time in the clench instead of aggressively trying to break free and fighting back. The next fight might be more decisive for the champion

Conors a fast twitch athlete. He throws punches as hard as he can to knock people out so yeah he’s gonna gas. I think I like conors odds against usman after watching Jorge fight him. What’s the worse that could happen? He gets hugged for 25 minutes and his foot becomes a balloon again

@@Sal3600 If the fight wouldn't be on a 6 day notice. Plus where is the damage? Where is the finish? Masvidal's gas tank was at his lowest and Usman still couldn't even drop him? Sorry that's not a convincing win against someone who lost 9kg in 6 days. Rematch will happen and Usman will go for the finish, while Masvidal will be much more prepared for that clinch. I think it's not the same fight. Usman will be ready to risk it this time and it will make fight much more interesting. That being said, I think it's too soon. I think another win over Nate, Leon or Colby would be great jump up back. Or even Conor who knows...
