Domenic and Roy were the best of the best when they were together in James Gang. I listen to Straight Shooter on CD in my car all the time.

Before I had my recording studio at Brown's Line, I remember recording some of the bed tracks for Kid Lee's album ("A Kid") in a rehearsal space on Danforth Ave in Toronto. Some time later, Domenic Troiano's album "Fret Fever" came out and I got a copy to play "We All Need Love" where I DJayed (at "The Benlamond Tavern" - Kingston Road and Main, not that far from the Danforth). As I was listening to the album, that I had just gotten, I was trying to figure out why the tunes sounded so familiar. I then realized that Domenic and his band had been rehearsing these tunes down the hall from us at the place on the Danforth. If only I had realized who was there at the time.

I L-O-V-E the masterpiece 1975 Guess Who album, "Flavours". Burton and Dom can do no wrong! Hundreds of plays later, I still can't get enough of it. Nobody deserves more honour!
He had visited radio station, CJAY-92 in 1981. Working in that building, I missed the opportunity to shake his hands and thank him for his work on "Flavours". . I am sad about that. R.I.P., Dom..

These videos brought back memories of the past when I was a teen that worked at The Modern Age on Danforth & Victoria Pk. One shot in the video showed Domenic being interviewed in the restaurant upstairs from the club. Roy Kenner & The Associates was our house band. Those where the days (69 yrs. old now)
