Unfortunately the van is our family vehicle so can't really sacrifice any space for subwoofer. I did have a subwoofer system in my last Nissan Quest van (before the Pathfinder), and loved it. Also I use to build car subwoofers and install stereo systems for others, so I have been itching to put something in my Pathfinder. Something like this takes a lot of planning and unfortunately time is something I just don't have much these days.

This instruction video was awesome. I put mine in and the touchscreen stopped working after 4 months. Pumpkin said they would give me a new touchscreen, but pumpkin has stopped responding to my emails. Been getting jerked around with Pumpkin for 2 months now. I have a Seicane in my WRX that has had no issues.

My problem...I went and looked at the Pumpkin website, and a Reverse camera(SKU:Y0801-UK) +£1,399.00 😲 Damn why so pricey.
Love the unit works great! Love how you can modify it a lot to your liking. Only thing i miss is my steering wheel controls on my 08 Honda Civic EX. The shop that installed it said it wasn't compatible with my unit.😏
That's bullshit they just didn't hook it up. If anything you just needed an adapter for your specific car

Excellent Video! I just installed the Android 8.0 (non DVD version) and was thinking of doing an install video and review for my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. After seeing the quality of your video, I don't know that it is necessary. Have only had the unit installed a week or so and am taking note of issues that need to be addressed. Have not heard back from Pumpkin people though. My unit loses time when the system is turned off. Also, there was a problem with radio station presets resetting after the truck was turned off....and then back on the next day. Are you having those issues? Also, what is strange is that the presets now appear to stay so no way to know if this is a random issue or repeatable one that can be fixed. I was beginning to think the constant 12v wire and accessory wire might have been switched, but now that the presets are remaining, that does not sound like the case. Finally, when I hold the radio station button to set the station, it does not give me an option to name the station and the software appears exactly the same as my unit. Oh well. Your thoughts on the clock not keeping time while the unit is off?
I never had any issue with my unit. Didn't experience lost of stations or time. The only thing that normally causes lost of memory is the Battery 12v and Ign 12v being swapped, but if not that, you can try a reset of the unit and see if that fixes it, or else might be the unit.

Everything is nice be is 4 GB ram, 32 rom , GPS, android auto, android 8.0 , WiFi etc but not screen resolution no full HD and 7 inch would have been nice instead of 6.2 something and the high price anyway nice vid... From India.

Thank you for your videos!!! very useful. I installed a android head unit on a 2006 Odyssey successfully everything works with the exception of the wheel control buttons. I watched the video on how to connect them but my car doesn’t have three plugs it only has two, the big one and a white one. The grey plug where you connect the key 1and key2 is missing. Any thoughts about why is that?
Quite concise video. One thing you missed which I am not getting : why is there a "GPS Card" slot? You are using Android navigation apps, and it has (32GB) more than enough onboard storage so what purpose is the additional card slot serving ? Thanks in advance .

I am looking to purchase a similar system but not 100% sure how the navigation system works. purchase one about 10yrs ago it came with a SD card with all US states on it (IGO system ) the new Company says they will down load maps by my location not sure if it's just my state only or all of the states. just want to know how all the maps can be down loaded or installed permanently and can be accessed at anytime were ever i am in the country or state. looks like you was using a wifi stick i could be wrong. thank you for your time.

How is the sound cuality in this unit thinking of getting one but I do like loud music I do have aftermarket speakers and a sub will this unit handle that or it won't be as loud.

Can it play music via an android phone connected to the USB cable? I only ask because that's the best way to keep highest sound quality but still allow it to pause when you turn the car off and resume playing when you hit play on the head unit. I'm looking for a unit that supports that. Unless BT is as good as the aux input or USB direct audio but I highly doubt that unless it supports LDAC bluetooth codec, or at least aptx HD

It has a RCA video input for backup camera but the camera is an optional purchase. I will be adding one in later. Not right now. There is also a reverse wire input so it can switch the display.
I wonder since my truck already has a factory rear cam in the tailgate if it can be disconnected up front and wired into this stereo ? I would think you can.. or maybe there's a coupling harness ?

were is rear wiev camera and connections ? normal all android stereo in car today have rear wiev cam too, and all cost 30-80$ only, NOT 200$ newer.
With the quick boot feature, is that a standby mode? Does it drain battery being in that mode as appose to shutting down completely like a normal radio does?
It does not drain the car battery.

My iso cable for my android 9.0 has a two connections on one end..one for speakers (using rca so not needed) then the other is all the piwer ground etc. My issue is that one end has the blue antenn and the other has the blue amp connect....how do i save both wires?

Connect both the 12V constant wire and the 12V ignition wire to your 12v power source (+). Connect the Gnd wire to (-) on your power supply.

You just need a backup camera with RCA video input and it will connect. I am planning on doing a video on installing a backup camera on this unit, maybe by next month. Stay tuned.

Thank you so much for this video. Did you have to cut the steering wheel wires from the grey oem adapter, then connect them to the aftermarket harness? So, the wires for the steering wheel are the brown and tan. Which color did you connect to the "key ground" and "key 1" wires from the harness? Brown = key ground and then tan = key 1? So I know you said after the initial boot it only takes about a second to boot up but my question is that after you turn off the car can I leave the car off for an hour and come back will the stereo turn on automatically fast or will I have to wait the 25 second wait again?
It always has fast boot. I was out of country for 3 weeks, and when I came back, it still performed a fast boot.

Do somebody know how to install the dascam with usb connector on it? I bought it as extra option but cannot get it to work. There are 2 usb connection on the back of the radio and one on the front. Do I need to install a specific app to see the video image?

I have android 8.1 typ that many of su have installed in Toyota thunders it has 2 slats AUX/GPS on left and on right Reset/usb I just can't open them are just for show ? Radio have 2 usb cables dangling out I wander if they are for GPS /AUX HEALP.

Can you plug in your own reverse camera which isn't from pumpkin? I'd rather not pay an extra £1,399 just for a reverse camera from them, when the device itself is only £245. But I would like to use the reverse camera feature if possible.

Everyone please do not wire the parking brake sender cable to the radio ground. Is is for safety. This feature is designed to only let you watch video while parked up with the brake engaged. Otherwise it's a distraction and dangerous while driving
