Design a food bag that will press decline for me!!!!
Hahaha yes I loved this video! Thanks for checking out my video, love hearing from a fellow PA gig worker! Definitely agree, great to have Grubhub in the rotation with multi-apping! Great vid as always!
You’re putting out some great videos keep it up. I like the editing and your energy in your videos. Best of luck out there earning
Literally the only 2 gig content creators i watch!
Good video I'll head over there and give you a view also. Id love to see both of you guys do videos of just the declines in a shift. While multiapping.
Of course after Mike is done reaching platinum
I couldn't even watch this. The abuse D Bag goes through in all of his videos! I have reported him to the FDBAC (Food Delivery Bag Abuse Council) on 239 occasions!
I live in PA but I do my gig work in New York state. I live on the border so it's easy. Pennsylvania has what 7.25 minimum wage. New York has 15 or 16.
Mike doing running commentary on a JB video: juicy!!
The reason you'd decline 2.4 miles for $4 is you want to send a message (to GH and customers) that it's not acceptable to ask a driver to "work for free".
Exactly
I recorded my first GH shift as well. Many many months on the waitlist too haha. Plenty of good "honeymoon" offers, but I think the other apps got jealous because I ended up taking better UE and DD offers throughout the whole night. Moral of the story. Have all 3 and keep cherry picking 🤣
Awesome video. And I like JB's content, I've watched a ton of his videos
Tennessee transplant moved to Rochester
Love it here!
Your video gets better and better.
Still gots to go back and watch before I became aware of your content.
I been on the grubhub wait list for a long time!
Uber deactivated me after a month so I applied for Grubhub and it took about 9-11 months to get me in so just wait and get other apps in the meantime
GH was about 3 months wait period for me. My first few shifts earlier this year were incredible 2+ dollars per mile. It's been downhill from there, upside down orders these days. It seems like the company adds on extra to the "tip" to hook you.
Yes please on making a better delivery bag! Something that isn’t flimsy (stands upright when placing food in bag) and a heavy duty zipper or a Velcro closure 😊
Definitely a zipper bag with stronger heating insulation would love to have a drink holder as well
Its also hilarious the bags used in this video, the GH bags are literally the best bags offered by a delivery company, DDs is straight trash. However just get some catering bags and it works for everything; Food, pizza, and awesome grocery totes even can be used as dividers when you got more than one order in the car.
As someone with a full time office job that does gig stuff on the side, I'd much rather drive 1-3 miles for 6-8 dollars instead of 7-12 miles for 15-20 dollars. Far shorter work time and less wear and tear on Motor BB.
If grubhub was in my market I'd definitely do it because a friend of mine said he makes more doing grubhub than he does delivering for uber eats.
I prioritize pay per mile (if I have to choose between pay per hour and pay her mile). I'm averaging $2.19 per mile (on DoorDash) YTD 2024, which is similar to what I averaged in 2023.
I just got off the wait-list a couple weeks ago after being on it for about 8 months. When it comes to the number of offers in my market when I'm online I'd rate them 3rd sometimes a distant third behind the other 2.
A bag with a thin aluminum frame to help it hold its shape and pencil like holder loop sleeves for the straws. Zippers would seal it better but velcro would make it easier to open.
Been a grubhub driver for like 6 years in a medium size market they're pretty solid but you really gotta schedule blocks to get decent offers.
Subtract about 20 in gas too lol… and yes I think gig apps try all they can to get over on the drivers… baiting us in and then cut earnings … they need to pay more or we work for free or like I say gas money … what bill can you pay with these low earnings
I would think a good delivery bag would have thick velcro like a traditional pizza bag. I fumble with zippers to much especially if there is drinks i have im my hands already
I accept the second order too
My DD free bag broke the first day. Zipper stopped working even before I had a chance to use it. Those free red dd bags belong in the trash bin.
These apps are no longer viable as a side hustle. It no longer works for someone who just wants some extra income.
Eh, I think it depends on your needs. I still make a large chunk of my income doing these apps.
@@TheRizzGaming Do you take into account gas/vehicle wear?
What? You could argue they're no longer good W2 replacements, but as a side hustle they're still great.
@@miclam00 Not really cause it needs a lot of dedication to be a side hustle, you can't have a full time job and do all this too.
@@MR3DDevyes. We are not stupid. IRS estimates an average of $0.655 per mile (gas, repairs, maintenance, etc).
In my market I use upside to get rebates on the gas and average out 0.10 per gallon every week. Write off the maintenance as a "business expense" and keep pictures of all receipts. It's expected to have a photo proof of expenses over $40.
Also your assumption on "can't do it part time while working full time" is incorrect. As mentioned it is market based.
I would have taken that Chipotle for sure add that to original order and calculate the dollars per mile plus factor in wait time
I was driving for doordash for a couple months, then all of a sudden i couldnt drive for them, i called and they had my account all messed up and wouldnt fix it so now i cant drive for them, so i tried to sign up for grubhub but the number they give u to type in doesnt work so im not able to drive for them, ive got to call them
GH is the first one I applied too, before DD and UE and I was on a waitlist for 2 years. One thing I can say about GH it is a very good addon app but you hope to never get busy on it when you have blocks scheduled; to get the minimum block payout. I always want DD and UE to be busy but never GH.
I got on GrubHub April 2 this year after over a year wait listed and I like it but there's not a lot of orders in my market in Jacksonville Florida where I deliver
How do you deliver fountain drinks without spilling them
Honestly just a snap shut bag would be better than zipper.
They have limits how many driver per hour block.
I’ve been on the waitlist for a year and a half😂
Yes! 5-7 shift last night $72.50 drove 34 miles Every market is different!
The only bad thing about them you need to set schedule a week in advance and stick with it. If you are not premier driver it doesn't worth it.
They don't let the drivers toggle on and off without scheduling anymore? When I did GH a couple of years ago, I could toggle or schedule.
I’ve watched both of your channels so this is a cool sorta colab to see
Depends on how many deliverys you can bang out a month , figure the algorithm looks at your net worth. If I made videos people would be blown away and cry at the same time, my good days vs bad days.
I've been on a wait-list for GH for 18 months s
A bag that can expand to catering bag.
they send you to restaurants too far away, I did maybe 4 orders that's it
Mike u have not seen the videos in his market
I made an average of $34/hour 2 years ago doing grubhub
I waited a day to get onto Grubhub back in 2021
Honestly if your delivering food you should already know that your gonna put miles on your car
Guys this a first shift and when your new they draw you in and everyone thats been there knows it goes all down hill from there....badly too and grubhub orders are never ready.
Nope. DD provided lousy offers when starting out. Gonna give GH a shot.
I only do Grubhub
I would decline the add on for $4
16 an hour after gas and I’m pretty sure he got something to eat … in the end it sucks … he cant last on these earnings need more
Is there a link to the original creator??
TravelJB and he's hilarious.
He commented on this so you can click on his name- traveljb
I think Uber eats is better than DoorDash lol … I did just stop being on the waitlist for grubhub
Velcro Please!!
Hi everyone. I have done over 2k orders . My best night tip is to get a spotlight for night orders . Comment down below lol
Yes. He’s on the honeymoon period. It’s over when the younger prettier model comes
In.
Definitely decline chipotle I don’t take 4 dollar offers
Grub hub is absolutely worth it
Door Dash sends you longer distances.
Cant wait for my Dasher Rewards to start on May 7th in Lansing, MI!!!
Grubhub SUCKS now!!👎🏽👎🏽
That's driving in Philly, too. I'd never take those high mileage orders.
I've been waiting almost a year for Grubhub. I'm in Pittsburgh
I waited 9 months to get into grubhub at first it was good pay but now I only get one or 2 deliveries a day and they will be 2 dollars once in a while I’ll get a good one.
Miltiapping grubhub and instacart so I made in 3 days with instacart 400 in 2 days and 100 in 2 days grubhub was hard but instacart save me
I don't what what area you are Grub Hubbing, however, if you cut all of those amounts in half, it is what we are getting for offers on the West Coast for orders. I stopped taking any order that was less than $5.00 because these diners do not tip even though they always promise that they add a tip once they get their food. The worst tippers are the people living in Section 8 Housing or working for these food apps. I would be afraid to eat my food if I told the driver that I tipped and did not tip the driver.
