  • In this video I climb and remove a few limbs on a tulip tree.
Tree rigging is a tree working technique that involves using ropes, pulleys, and blocks to dismantle trees or parts of trees. It's a common way for tree workers to manage tree limb direction of falling and remove overgrown limbs. Rigging can be used in a variety of situations.

Nice work and I do like your shirt. I’ve done a little light solo work too, and it’s always great to see how other’s solo rig. Are you tying in to your life support carabiner with a Bowline? This could be an unsafe practice for two reasons. Firstly, a bowline can work loose with cycles of loading/unloading - a Yosemite finish can help. Secondly, a carabiner can fail at the gate if it walks around and becomes side-loaded. To prevent a carabiner from walking around, many tree climbers tie to life support carabiners using a cinching termination knot or a tight eye splice in the rope. My favorite is the anchor bend, but the double fisherman is also popular choice. -Stay safe

@@timeorspace yeah I usually use a fisherman's knot or when I use a bowline it's with the Yosemite finish or with a stopper knot

What kind of knot are you using on the carabiner attached to the zigzag
