Hes got a point
Pretty bad warrior.

lollllllll
"greatest warriors in the galaxy"
yeah, classic who is CringeFest
*looks around for a bit getting ready to grab a person*
â@@geegeetomlinson2316You're a cringefest...
@@geegeetomlinson2316 dude its the doctor a man thats around 1 thousand years old no doubt the doctor is a master at combat. a warrior sontaran couldent hope to obtain the combat experience needed to beat anyone with 1k years under their belt even with a sword.
I Wish Elisabeth Sladen were still alive to see them again. Imagine Sarah Jane and the doctor teaming up against the sontarans again. Just like in her first story â€ïž
@@obiwankenobi687 I wish they would finish that show in animation formula with her daughter voicing her like she does in the Big Finish adventures.
I agree to I wish we could them finish of the sarah jane adventures or even if they do a comic series
I wanna see the old episodes of Sarah Jane adventures on iPlayer, cmon we have the old Dr who's abd TORCHWOOD for crying out loud! Even if series one was taken off (which I think is a mistake If their keeping the other old Dr who episodes from the early 2000s and 2010s) they've *GOT* to put Sarah Jane adventures on their, at this point I'm ready to say either give us Sarah Jane adventures or bring back the paradigm instead of doing both as I currently want, cause at this point if it's one or the other I'll accept that, there are so many unsolved paradigm mysteries I want solved but at the same time I wanna experience the nostalgia of seeing Sarah Jane adventures again, honestly just DO SOMETHING ALREADY BBC!!!!!!!!!!
@@obiwankenobi687 Close it off? No. I mean, since Torchwood got taken off air, it's had, like, nineteen novels and nearly sixty audio plays. Similarly, the dire Class has had three novels and a dozen audio plays since it went off air. And there's way too much stuff on Who itself, and characters with no TV versions. But for SJA, they've had nothing, save THAT so-called finale, which sees them separating forever.
I honestly think they NEED to do a continuation series, which sees them reuniting, moving back into 13 Bannerman Road, restoring it to exactly how it was when Sarah was still alive, getting the furniture, K-9, supercomputer, cars etc. back, and picking up where she left off. I've got two possible routes for this being achieved.
1) The three mains (Luke, Clyde and Rani) are not in good places (Luke has been laid off from the uncaring UNIT (Sarah didn't like them, and I don't like how they went under Moffat and Chumpnall) and his abusive civil partner has annulled their relationship (which was never consummated) and dumped him; Clyde's movie project has gone into suspension (my bewilderment at Marvel releasing films like there's no tomorrow) and eventually gets cancelled altogether, Rani's still living with her parents). Luke returns to 13 Bannerman Road, with all his possessions, and has Mr Smith the supercomputer take the house off the market, and moves back in. Clyde and Rani reunite, investigate the house and find Luke living there. After some hostility, they investigate a mysterious sinkhole, thwart a threat, Luke admits to having a crush on them both and asks them to move in with him, as a ménage a trois, picking up where Sarah left off. They do so, getting everything put back in the house, stopping aliens and carrying on Sarah's work. Then Maria and her father move back, he gets his own place whilst Maria makes it a quad relationship with Luke, Clyde and Rani.
2) Luke is in the bad place from above, but instead of Clyde, Rani and eventually Maria helping him, Sky (now played by Tilly Keeper) comes back to Earth (the powers that be giving her permanent compassionate leave), and helps Luke get the house back to how it was, along with everything else. The two of them carry on their late mother's legacy.
In both versions, friends and foes old and new show up, Luke gets a scientific job at Pharos, which now uses advanced technology to solve problems (i.e. a car engine that runs on air), and he likes both girls and boys.
Thoughts?
@@obiwankenobi687 Like I said, I do have an alternative idea for my series, with Sky helping Luke after he's metaphorically been through hell. What do you think of that?
Is it wrong to want Who to have a polyamorous relationship at some point? They've done a lot of gay couples in Who, why not try tackling genuine polyamory? [Genuine relationship and love things, not just a threesome, as you said]
Strax interacting with the Memory Worm is one of the most hilarious scenes in _Doctor Who,_ and I love how Clara goes from being afraid of the yet-unseen worm to being amused at Straxâs stupidity.
How could you leave out The Time Warrior? Its the best Sontaran story and prosthetics to this day, not to mention the new Sontarans harken back to that design way more than any shown here!
...
@@hothemeep1219 ?
The Sontaran Experiment is currently the only classic era Sontaran story on Bluray, so thatâs probably why. Itâs a bit silly that they seem reluctant to use clips from stories that havenât made it to The Collection yet but hey-ho.
Totally agree. But The Sontaran Experiment is nice as well.
First mention of Gallifrey too.
Fun fact: Tom Baker broke his collarbone during The Sontaran Experiment. So, his acting was limited and Ian Marter had to do all the action.
It really happy to see the Sontarans again, I only wish Elisabeth Sladen, Ian Marter, And Patrick Troughton were alive to see them once more.
Patrick Troughton (before you disagree: there is no such story as "The Two Doctors"...) didn't meet the Sontarans. He met the Ice Warriors.
@@Nikioko of right silly me.
And Jon Pertwee
They know about them...remember we have just lost their physical form..they still exist where they are now...
Damn, you guys are *really* trying your best to make sure everyone knows what a Sontaran is before Sunday.
@@obiwankenobi687 not a very good tribute. 3 sontaran stories are missing from this video!
@@jellybabiesarecool4657 time warrior which is one of the best!
@@astrosleep9625 and also The Two Doctors which is A MULTI DOCTOR STORY
@@jellybabiesarecool4657 I'd make a comment about how fun you are at parties...
But you'd need to actually be invited to a party first.
@@Not_An_EV I'd come back at you with another burn...
But first I need to find out who asked.
You could at least have shown the very first Classic Who Sontaran "reveal" from _The Time Warrior,_ where Commander Linx's creepy, lip-smacking tongue movement reappeared in _The Hallowe'en Apocalypse._ More people might have got the reference if you had.
Linx is actually mentioned in the episode
Having not seen that episode the lip smacking bothers me less now tbh.
Kevin lindsay (RIP) will always be the best actor to portray a sontaran. Especially his performance as linx, the original and best baked potato soldier đ
4:37 According to Commander Linx in _The Time Warrior,_ the placement of the probic vent - the Sontaran's "only" weakness - in the back of the neck ensures that that must always face their enemies in combat.
You can see how much pain tom is in when he breaks his collarbone. You can hear it break. What a trooper for carrying on!
Always knew that scarf would come in handy one day ;)
What time is it?
5 minutes of the classic series is an absolute crime
Genuinely so happy to see the Sarah Jane clips, been years since I've seen those episodes
I've been saying it for ages. MORE SONTARANS. they're criminally underused. Glad to see they're coming back.
never realised how much i miss good doctor who episodes until i saw david tennant intru-da window
26:18 The Doctor god damn the chills
A 50 minute video about the sontarans that doesn't have a single clip from The Time Warrior, Invasion of Time and The Two Doctors đ
Maybe they donât have the license for them
@@ptolemyclarke what do you mean!? All the televised Doctor Who footage is owned by the BBC.
@@jellybabiesarecool4657 yeah i guess so
I think you missed some! The Time Warrior is the original and the best!
Yeah. The lack of The Time Warrior surprised me considering thatâs when they were first introduced.
Its still the best makeup to this day too!
TBF, we're lucky they acknowledged the classic era at all. They didn't bother with the Daleks.
Really? No "The Time Warrior" (the best serial of the Sontarans), "The Invasion of Time" and "The Two Doctors"?
The Time Warrior to this day is the best Sontaran story and Lynx still has the best makeup of all the Sontarans after all these years which is crazy.
I bet they only used The Sontaran Experiment here cause its a Tom Baker story I dunno
It's cause they're not on Blu-ray yet
TBF of the Two Doctors, they weren't in it too much plus it wasn't a good story.
@@rowanc88 so? The quality might not be quite as high, but it will still be decent.
@@PercyandDuckfan94 it was a BRILLIANT story
âYou will not torture me again!â Sontaran: are you sure about that?
"we have an intruder!" "In tru der window?" LOL.
Love how the sontarans are going back to their roots I always preferred the classic look
"Sir emergency! I THINK I'VE BEEN RUN OVER BY A CAB!"
Always amuses me that Styre is described as being identical to Lynx when, despite being played by the same actor, they actually look quite different.
back then people only tended to see an episode of a tv show only once--the day that it aired. so the fogginess of memory probably helped covered up the fact that they look so different.
The reason for that is because of the actorâs health. He found the original Lynx costume did his heart condition no help so they redid the mask for this story but between the costume fitting and the actual location filming date he thinned out further. Not long after heâd sadly pass away.
The Time Warrior is the GOAT.
I just love how there's a potato emoji in the description! đ„
"I'm the clever one. You're the potato one". Next time I need advice from a psycho potato dwarf...and Neve MacIntosh reprising Nicholas Courtney's legendary line. Dan Starkey rules.
The Potato men cometh.
Rest in Perfect Peace Elisabeth Sladen.
A good reminder that Sontarans are enemies of the Doctor and not just Strax providing light comic relief.
Agreed. Strax was an entertaining character to begin with, but by the time Stephen Moffat had finished re-using in various episodes, the character we had a whole age group of kids who never knew the Sontarans as anything other than a joke.
Oh, didn't know full epis were offered on this channel. Jolly good.
Bruh only one classic sontaran story?
Say what you want about the Two Doctors, it gave the Sontarans an awesome leitmotif.
The best part about the worm joke is that the Doctor says "Take her back where we found her.", forgetting that his friend can't remember finding her because of the worm.
HANDS DOWN THE BEST SONTARAN STORY IS THE ORIGINAL!
So surprised they left it out!
Kaagh and Linx are hands down the best Sontarans đđ»
I love that you included the Sarah Jane Adventures episode The Last Sontaron in this!
Iâm gonna go play with my grenades is the best line out of that whole arc
Looking forward to the return of the Sontarans and their confrontation with the Doctor, Yaz and Dan this Sunday! Can't wait to see how their chapter in this story fits in with the Flux! Bring it on!
"TRY MY SIZE 5'S HUMPTY!" is officially my new favourite sentence
The RTD ones will always be my favourite tbh. I loved those episodes.

Po-ta-toes. Boil 'em, mash 'em, put em' in a stew!
Iâd love to watch the sontarans get into a verbal pissing contest with dalek sec.
27:41 defeated by a single man without so much as a *WEAPON* in his hand...
the best part of the new episode
Lynx Africa, I heard, has that effect on all the female of the species
LMAO it's the baked potato action men. Sontar-ha!
I wish Elizabeth Sladen still alive to see them again from Sarah Jane Adventures
actually, forcing the copper bullet itself to be expanded and stuck in the barrel wouldnt make the gun useless, it would make it a bomb. Ive see the result of oversized projectiles shoved into gun barrels. The result is the bullet goes half way down the barrel and the receiver of the gun explodes like a hand grenade.
From his own description the g36 and hand gun should still have gone off, wether or not the chamber ruptures when it goes off is another thing entirely...
12:12 There's still so many people who need that saying that to their face.
1:19 LOL
Saw these same guys in the Delta Quadrant with Star Trek Voyager trying to figure out how to deal with the photonic cannon
Funny how Sarah Jane says Styre and Linx look alike even tho they clearly donât đ
Yes they're completely different đ
They were meant to look the same but there were production issues. Chiefly the actors failing health making the mask not fit correctly anymore.

The sontaran experiment is a good story I think if someone wants to get into classic who as it is a two parter and the same length as a modern who epsiode
So the Doc restores the atmosphere in 5 seconds what it took the sontarans to convert over months using car exhausts.....

Always wondered why they went back to the classic look for the Sontarans in Jodieâs era. There was nothing wrong with the nu-who redesign.
1 classic who clip lol
Sontaranâs finally becoming villains again. I love Moffat era but they were a joke in his era
Weren't the Sontarans introduced the episode after Jo Grant left to the amazon?
The grumpiest potatoes in the universe
Whereâs The Time Warrior? The first and best Sontaran story.
I love Strax!
What about Time Warrior? The Invasion of Time? The Two Doctors??
The Sontarans are the most Bad Ass looking of the Doctor Who Aliens.
That is one mean looking potato.
SONTAR-HA!
The Sontarans were definitely "potato heads"......lol
God they've changed so much
the sja sontaran episode was sick
Funny how the Sontaran are all clones, but somehow manage to look nothing alike
There's a scientific basis. Each time you make a clone of a clone youre making a copy. Each time you clone that, the original reduces and errors and new formations creep in. That' swhy Sontarans look alike but not necessarily identical..
@@jonathanfraser321 is that the reason why there are smaller in modern who than in the classic?
could be or the actors are smaller!. As long as you dont call them potatos
Well I think there are some gene splicing involved according to strax. Strax genetically modified himself for all nursing duties including that of a wet nurse. Which would explain the change from 5 fingers on each hand to 3 on each
