2009年10月生まれ。2歳からドラムを始め、4歳からライブ活動を開始し、5歳で家族バンド「かねあいよよか」を結成。幼稚園在籍中の6歳で1stCDを発売する。
ドラムのみならず、作詞作曲、ボーカル、ピアノも担当。
2018年、世界的な女性ドラマーのコンテスト『Hit Like A Girl』の18歳以下の部にて、最年少の8歳でウイークリーチャンピオンとなる。Led Zeppelinの『Good Times Bad Times』をカヴァー演奏した応募動画が、アメリカのNBC、NPR、ローリングストーン誌やビルボードで特集され、世界中に拡散。
Led Zeppelinのロバート・プラント、Red Hot Chili Peppersのチャド・スミス、シェリル・クロウ、KISSのジーンシモンズやエリック・シンガー、Sonic Youthのキム・ゴードン、Paramoreのヘイリー、サス・ジョーダン、トニー・ロイスターJr.などから称賛される。
国内でも、矢野顕子、佐藤竹善、ハマ・オカモト、亀田誠治、ピエール中野、LOUDNESSの二井原実らも驚きとともにSNSでよよかを紹介。
2018年は『RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL in EZO』に史上最年少出演を果たし、オリジナル曲のほかChar、奥田民生などをゲストに迎え、Led Zeppelinの『Good Times Bad Times』を演奏。
2019年には『サマーソニック東京』でマウンテンステージのトリ、Fall Out Boyのステージにサプライズ登場。彼らと共演し2万人の観客を沸かせた。
また、シンディ・ローパーからオファーを受け、日本ツアーの最終日、東京オーチャードホールでの公演でゲストドラマーとして2曲演奏し、シンディと共演を果たす。
国内でも2019年、亀田誠治主催の『日比谷音楽祭』に出演。ゴダイゴ、JUJU、KREVA、Reiらと共演。他にも「MUSIC FAIR」「TBS音楽の日」「題名のない音楽会」などに出演し三浦大知、倖田來未、大黒摩季、サンプラザ中野くん、ROLLY、本田雅人など多くのアーティストと共演を果たす。
また、Nike、Moncler、UNIQLOなど世界的ブランドのCMに抜擢。撮影はタイやニューヨークでも行われ、世界から大きな反響を得る。
2019年は1月と5月にロサンゼルスにて収録される『The Ellen Show（エレンの部屋）』に日本人としては異例となる2度の出演を果たし、Foo Fightersのデイヴ・グロールからもビデオコメントで賞賛を受けた。また、ロサンゼルスの老舗ライブハウス「Whisky A Go Go」にて海外初ライブを大盛況で終える。
2019年4月には、Newsweek日本版「世界が尊敬する日本人100人」に史上最年少で選出。
８歳でドラムメーカーのPearl、VIC FIRTHと史上世界最年少エンドース契約し、Zildjian、CYMPAD、DWともエンドース契約。
"Yoyoka"の衝撃は今も世界へ広がり続けている。
好きなドラマーはジョン・ボーナム、クリス・コールマン、ネイト・スミス、チャド・スミス、デイヴ・グロール、山木秀夫など。
夢は、世界を回って世界中の人たちとセッションをすること。近い夢は、東京オリンピックで演奏すること。

Tell me about it. I book bands for a living and most of them are L A M E makes me wonder why the even bother becoming musicians and joining a band 😖

Unique ist just Yoyoka - who will make history of drums. If she continues in that way, she will become a little Mozart-drummer!
But the bassist and the guitarist are good - especially for their young age. But they are no exceptions. We can find many talents of rock, playing their instruments in the same quality. About the vocal I don't want to judge, it's fashion to make more noise than singing. It's the right (and obligation) of youth to frighten older generations!

Like probably everyone else, I've wanted to see this collaboration since I first saw Yoyoka, and now it's finally here! It was everything I 'd hoped it would be-- excellent! And Kate seems to be taking her vocals more seriously, which is great.

@@TheNormanduartetolle let's be honest though..it's hardly a guitar solo...it's a dj-scratch on a guitar. Morello is a great riffer, but a terrible soloist...so talking about technique on that "solo" is quite an irony.

I love how Audrey has never been distracted, since the beginning, by Kate's unchecked personality. As time has gone by, Kate's abilities have grown, while Audrey continues to shred and reach new heights of excellence. Yoyoka seems to have almost never needed any improvement. Her ability just pours right out of her tiny body which defies her explosive abilities as a drummer. Every genre I've seen her attempt, she's nailed. I never used to pay that much attention to the drummer, except in rare cases like Keith Moon, or Terry Bozzio, etc. With Yoyoka, she is the focus of any grouping that she appears in. It has less to do with her youth than her ability, though. She flat out rocks!!!

definitely watch those vocal cords... a teacher can help you make those awesome vocals without damaging vocal cords. Live long and prosper
Surrounding your vocal cords and throat are small muscles... you need to exercise those muscles, just like any athlete needs to exercise their muscles. If they don't exercise and stretch they will hurt themselves. Sometimes permanently. The same thing with vocals. You can get online classes, you can get a private teacher, but learn how to take care of your vocal cords. You've got a long life ahead of you, be careful not to blow out your voice. Love your energy! totally rockin it
You might want to get a vaporizer for after your vocal sessions. It will help soothe your throat. No menthol or special chemicals, just water or saline solution... and some warm up exercises before you start singing. That will help a lot, both with your vocal cord health, and your singing. (I use a vaporizer made by Shinmed. I think it's from Japan)
