George Harrison of the Beatles wrote this song around 1968. John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote most Beatles songs, but George contributed some gems to the Beatles catalog. I hope this rxn isn't blocked.
PS. Eric Clapton contributed the guitar solo to this track. He worked off and on with all the Beatles.

Many people consider this the best Beatles song. I’m not sure about that, but it’s pretty great.
You didn't get anything wrong. You're fine. This is a Beatles song George wrote and played lead on when he was in the Beatles and then he did solo later on and eventually after his death at his hall of fame induction that super group played it.
In the 60s, people actually thought music can change the world, so wrote and bought music reflecting that mindset. Whether it's true or not, I don't believe modern music is composed with that perspective these days. But I believe it can change the world. At least it results in better music. I hope that mindset comes back. Entertaining reaction as always.
There is a “live” version of The Beatles performing Hey Jude that doesn’t seem to get blocked. I think they are on The David Frost Show.

Eric Clapton played the guitar on this, studio, recording, which was unusual for The Beatles, as the band seldom used other rock musicians on their records. The guitar player playing the solos up until Prince's ending solo played almost exactly as Eric Clapton did on The Beatles studio recording. He was a member of Tom Petty's band I believe.
There’s no such thing as George Harrison covering “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” because he wrote it when he was in The Beatles! It’s his song even if it was The Beatles who recorded it first.
That guitar (Eric Clapton) and that BASS (Paul McCartney) just with this two guys a great band could be created!!

But the one you reacted to was not a cover. George Harrison wrote this in the Beatles, he was a guitar player and backing vocalist. And he wrote several hits for them. He was the baby of the bunch. I'm not familiar with the one that you reacted to but if Prince was in it it had to be at least a quarter century later after this came out in 1968, written by George Harrison.
George sang lead and Paul did backing vocals on this one. And yes, George wrote some great songs. “Something” and “Here Comes The Sun” are among my favorite Beatles songs.

The first reaction that you deleted was not George Harrison. It was The Beats. The Beats are a Beatles tribute band founded in 1987 in Argentina. They are still active. There are hundreds (it seems) of Beatles tribute bands. None of them can match the real Beatles. Thanks for reacting to the real deal.
You really don't need to feel bad for the mistake on the version. Not a huge deal at all. I gave you a hard time but it really was meant to sound intentionally over the top. I hope it came out that way.
You're not the first reactor to do that either, specifically with that song but also several other Beatles songs. It used to be really hard to find correct versions of Beatles songs on CZcams.
Most of the time, when people are disappointed about a version, it's just because they want you to hear the the song at its best (which is their opinion).

This recording has Eric Clapton on lead guitar. It might be a good idea for you to read up about the Beatles. No one can touch them.

Since George Harrison was one of the Beatles I don't see what the problem is here! I missed the other reaction, sorry, but really what's the big deal? To those folks that can't keep a civil tongue, I say to them go watch a different reactor, he doesn't need you! There are plenty of us that love him just the way he is, don't you remember being young and unsure of things? A-holes!
I'd skipped the live George post you did. I was disappointed you did it instead of the Beatles' version. Paul McCartney has done in concert just about every Beatles' song that he wrote and sang, and a few of John and George's songs, and they sound pretty good. But if you are going to listen to these songs, you want to listen to the Beatles' versions.
I don't see much point in watching the live version and then going back and watching the studio version. You want to experience the best version of the song the first time you hear it.
I understand why you do the liver versions because of the copyright issues; I just don't have as much interest in listening to them.
