Some are either pretty challenging to find physical copies for or are just being sold for a lot of $$ so I also highly recommend checking them out out on the eShop while you still can! I need to grab Kirbyâs Extra epic yarn and maybe some additional Kirby titles! I also want to pick up Trio of Towns as well!! I heard from other CZcamsrs that yes the e shop is closing next year but theyâre actually no longer accepting credit card payments after next Month đ

It is sad but that's how it goes - A new console comes out and the older one fades away. Just spend more time with it to make up for all the people that forgot about this wonderful little handheld. âïž

The sad thing is the fact that handheld consoles in general are kind of fading away for hybrid options. Like the switch might technically be a handheld but it's still pretty big and impractical to carry around. I'll miss the old dedicated handheld with their graphical limitations that spawned a lot games wed not have gotten otherwise.
@@ataridc You bring up a good point about one of the things that made handhelds special: they're form-factor lead to hardware limitations that in turn led to creativity.
I would definitely recommend Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale. It has that small Japanese town vibe that I find really chill. Itâs also a hidden gem to grab before the eShop disappears.

My husband and I gave our daughters our 3DS Xl's and been keeping an eye out for games to purchase and sales. I had to replace the batteries on both but they worked so well still :) Thank you for these amazing recommendations.

Fantastic recommendations! So happy to hear Trio of Towns get a shout out as well. Definitely my favorite farming sim, even if it's a bit slow to start. It's chock full of lovable characters and WAY more dialogue than most games like it.
You're so right! It can be a bit slow in the beginning, but something I don't mind too much in a game where I just want to relax and take my time with đ€

I love Ever Oasis, it's whole tone and design (love more desert style games, it's like legend of zelda gerudo spin off).
Seriously hope it get's a switch port just so more people can get it as i definitely see it going under the radar if physical copies are going up in price along with the 3ds shop being closed (seriously nintendo wtf!?)

I 100% percent agree with Tomodachi Life. It's definitely a game I play when I play my 3ds. So nostalgic. Hopefully it comes to Switch someday like with Miitopia.
For all the cozy games and if you want something cheaper I would recommend getting a 2DS.
Yes they look like weird door stoppers but they feel so good in your hands. No weird hand positioning for big adult hands the 2DS just fits well even into big hands. I can play with that one for hours a day without my hands hurting.
AH I love the "doorstopper" 2DS! Much more affordable to get into the 3DS + DS library, and definitely comfortable like you said. It also reminds me more of a Gameboy which I really enjoy đ

I swear, Ever Oasis jumped in price immediately after I got it -- which was not long after its release! I'm lucky to have found one back then, and still have it now. I have most of the games on this list and they are all great!

I loved Ever Oasis! And the 3DS still remains my favourite console. It's the system I love to collect for though this has become quite a costly hobby.

I picked up a game called "Little Friends" for my Switch a while back - I haven't played much, but it's pretty similar to Nintendogs!

Both Fantasy Life and Ever Oasis are wonderful titles that deserve more love. But as much as I'm all about physical copies of stuff, the eShop may really be the way to go considering the prices of some 3DS games these days. /:
Fire emblem awakening is so good , The legend of Zelda link between worlds I highly recommend , bravely default and the Mario & Luigi games there amazing

I am so happy to see Fantasy Life and Ever Oasis mentioned. The only one I haven't played on this list is the original Monster Hunter Stories. I kept seeing it in Walmart when I was in middle school and thought it looked nice but just never thought to get it.

i love yoshi's woolly world too! i prefer playing the wii u version cause it looks great in full HD, but i love also being able to play it on the go.

dogz is a ds game (can be played on newer ds systems as well as course) I'm finding it really cozy
I ignored the 3DS for a while because I thought I wouldn't need it. I have a ds lite for 13 years now (still works) and had phases throughout where I would play more again. But than 3 years ago the top screen had a little glitch so I bought a second hand new 2ds because I didn't wanna loose the chance to play my ds games. The glitch disappeared somehow and now I have both haha. So I might as well bought some 3ds games

I used to have this lovely blue 3ds, and then it died. I got the xl Zelda ds and it's just not the same. My ds was my constant companion in college.
I feel you Kathleen! I've been trying to replace some childhood consoles I lost throughout the years, but it is hard to replace the sentimental value especially when it holds a lot of memories đ€đ€
I still have the ever oasis I paid either $15 or $20 new. Loved the game.
I still need Tomodachi Life. And it's only $20. I bought Mario+Luigi Dream Team a couple months ago. $20 on the eshop.

I may or may not have modded mine because of the prices going up. I have the OG 3DS and itâs going for like $300-$500 which is absolutely insane.

@@kat. keep up the great videos. I always look to check if you upload. Iâm currently playing ocarina of time on my 3DS. I have new leaf from years ago that I got into finally. And I finally took the plunge to buy New Horizons! Absolutely loving that game. Itâs a bit overwhelming at first because thereâs so much more to do so early on compared to New Leaf.
I got super lucky and got an original 3DS at a local game shop for $80 a few weeks ago.
Good thing then that I always waited just a bit to get them used when interest first dropped so prizes were nice and cheap. I'm also a bit of a hoarder, I have all versions of the 3DS and 2DS. Keeping an eye out on Ebay and going to a couple of local secondhand electronics stores regularly over the years definitely paid off for me. That's also how I got all of my games for very low prizes.
I agree with everything on your list but couldn't personally get into tomogotchi life. I do love miitopia though. I also get stressed by platformers and love the yarn versions of those games. The first game boy Kirby is the only one I ever finished so far. I would add the style savvy and Disney magical world games to this list plus the DS rune factory games which are playable on 3ds if they can be found. Not really cozy but since you like monster taming/catching have you played any of the shin megami tensei or persona games on any system? The 3ds ones have been having eshop sales a lot lately in the US at least.

hii since you do cozy game lists i would really appreciate if you havent already GBpatches our life games they are extremely cozy choice heavy dating sims with seriously pretty art, i feel like they deserve a lot more coverage, they are free to play games with optional dlc that isnt even that expensive, if you could check it out and maybe mention it that would be cool. :)

If new 3ds is double the price of old 3ds, which would you get?
There are only a couple games that are âexclusiveâ to the new models since they need the c-stick, but you can play the rest of the 3ds library plus the ds library with backwards compatibility on either. So youâd be getting tons of value out of the older model 3ds, plus your money saved can go toward games instead! If youâre not on a budget though, I do like the newer model 3ds mostly for the more sleek body design đ

Not exactly 3ds related but do you and all you guys also have some recommended cozy and/or cute games on the GBA? Out of the gameboy line, the GBA SP is now my favorite. Iâm currently playing Zelda: The Minish Cap and Iâm also having fun on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance too!
