- Meghan Markle’s father Thomas has compared himself to King Charles and issued an urgent plea in his latest attempt to mend the relationship with his daughter.
Mr Markle has repeatedly tried to mend his relationship with Meghan and is becoming more desperate, fearing whether he’ll be able to eventually meet his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.
He also said he feels “deep empathy” for Charles who is in the “same boat” as him.
‘To Di For’ podcast host Kinsey Schofield says she did “sympathise with him” when reading some of his words.
The way Megain has treated her father is unconscionable and unforgivable

While I can understand Meghan distancing herself from her family -- let's be honest, their behaviour throughout the engagement and wedding was unbelievably tacky - I can't understand this total no contact. For Harry to have never met his FIL, and to have not allowed Thomas Markle to ever meet his grandchildren, is unnecessarily cruel. From everything I've read, Thomas was very supportive to his daughter growing up - and was there far more than Doria ever was. He's now 80, and is very unwell. I think the Royal Family's situation is quite different -- in their case, Harry and Meghan have been utterly vicious towards them, and they are the ones maintaining a boundary.

Though I sympathetize with Thomas Sr, yet I think he should not act like his daughter seeking public attention. He and her other daughter are as opportunistic as Meghan. Like father like daughters.
