One thing you forgot to mention is there is a difference between power input and output..Most flight controllers have mini regulators that supply power to externals like cams, leds, vtx ect.. If you just find 5v and grnd on a flight controller that might be an output and not the actual power input of the flight controller.. Worst case you could actually damage the board by supplying power in the wrong direction..

Ofer Po No.. Best advice is good esc and low esr capacitor either rubycon or Panasonic 1000uf 25v or 35v

Matek F722-STD doesn't have a 5 Volt regulator, Tekko32 4in1 doesn't have a 5 Volt regulator too.
So i have to use a PDB (but the stack becomes very high, 3 layers plus VTX/Rx) or use an external BEC.
Which way is the best for you and in case the best way is an external BEC, which BEC ?

Well if ground of esc is not connected you will troubleshoot your quad till eternity.

I have been looking for a brushless quad that is stabilized and does not need to use the computer to make it fly. I just want to fly LOS with a brushless quad, do you know of any quads like that (other than Bugs) or a flight controller that would work? I hope I made sense. Love your vids. Got a question. I have a kakuteF4 with 3 flights until it freaked out into a spin of death. The CLI shows a NOGYRO flag and I cant find any info on how to fix it. The ribbon cable to the gyro isnt damaged. I have a low esr capacitor on the FC. Why would the fc gyro just die for no apparent reason?
Spin of death possible cause motor over heating did you smell the motors that one of the first things to check on a spin of death.
Also check if air mode is on.
air mode is on, motors are all good. No electronic burning smell. Everything powers on just fine. Its just the NOGYRO flag on CLI error message. Cant fly without the gyro. THe board will power on but wont arm.

I want to replace my f3 with f4 but I have escs on the quad so I I just buy a f4 then where do I solder the esc?
Hi you say you can just cut the ground off the esc and not use what happens by doing this as it must be there for a reason ps keep up the good work and look forward regarding 4 in 1 esc and power to flight board
shozzy69 You can get away with cutting the signal ground which is the small black wire. I have built many without it but there are some theories that it could cause noise in video feed which I have not tested and still is a theory.
If it's a 4in1 you will need ground if it's powering the FC.

for some reason i can not get that sp f3 in boot load mode. its fucking annoying! although reliable fc
stoicz fpv you need to bridge the boot pads then connect USB. After you flash it unbridge the pads and connect to pc.
