- Here's a watercolor and gouache demo using a "convenience color," neutral tint. I'll talk you through this painting in about 10 minutes time.

Thanks! Great commentary and instruction too.
I thought it's impossible to paint night scenes with water colour, but u made me believe that it's not just possible it can turn out to be amazing!! Would love to see more of night scenes from u🤍
Very nicely done, Scott. I've recently begun an online course with Spanish artist Fernando Moya. He seems to have a similar approach to you in this type of painting. He loves using Neutral Tint, he pretty much mixes it with everything.
My first two projects on the course involved this simplified approach, being focused on tonal value and creating atmosphere. It really works well, as does your stunning example here. Subscribed in a flash!
One of these days I'll get back to making content, currently I've been away from the paints. :-(
Thank you for not only showing us how you paint but explaining what you were doing. Beautiful work!!!!
Wow it is so rare to find night city watercolor tutorial or acrylic even! Thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I'm starting my watercolour journey and I'm still struggling with the basics but I saved this for the future. I'm impressed with your vision for this painting. There are so many layers on it and you paint so confidently. Such a beautiful painting, congratulations!

Scott this is so good. Is there anyway at all you could post this video not sped up? I want to try it
Thanks, Barry
Wish I could but I no longer have the source file. I'll be slowing down future videos (and they will eventually start coming again, I plan to make more)
did u mix acrylic paint with water?
No, just watercolor paint and a little gouache for highlights.
