    Brian May & Roger Taylor didn’t really like the song. They thought it was too ‘disco’. Michael Jackson was backstage with them & said you have to release that one as a single. Roger said ‘that one’, Michael said yes. They released it & it became their best selling single. Thank you Michael.

      It is not their best selling single, Bohemian Rhapsody is their best selling single, at the moment it is their 4th best selling single.

    Fun fun reaction! The song was written by the bass player, John Deacon. (It's always the quiet ones). As such, that bass line is very cool indeed! & That Freddie-walk! You both smile at Freddie the same time I do. He never really dances, he just moves to the rhythm. Plus his shoulder shimmies get me every time. Will never be another one like him, bless him. Queen music lives on.

    It was the Queen ´s best selling singel, written by bassist John Deacon. Queen is the only one band where each member wrote the number 1 hit and many of their songs are better live

    John Deacon was an excellent bass player, it’s a great loss that he retired in 97. He was the secret weapon of the band, he didn’t write many songs, but they all are great. Freddie really enjoyed to sing this number and he wanted to match John's imagination so much that he sang during the recording process until his vocal cords started to bleed.

    I have been a Queen fan since I was a young teen in middle school in the early ‘70’s, so it’s probably no surprise that I have watched A LOT of Queen reactions and this is one of the best reactions to Another One Bites The Dust that I have ever seen! Subscribed!! Thanks for this and please do more Queen reactions-any of their tracks will do well; especially their live videos. But you really can’t go wrong with a Queen song!

  • @sumonjamal1653
    @sumonjamal1653 Před 2 lety +3

    When Queen started recording albums, they proudly declared that "no synthesizers were used" on their studio tracks.
    That changed in 1980 w/ 'The Game' album... they used effects and synthesizers and transitioned into a pop sound. 'Another one bites the dust' went to #1 on the singles chart and was a huge global hit... Unfortunately, in North America, Queen's rock fans did not like the change... so the subsequent album 'Hot space' did not sell as well (despite the hit single 'Under pressure')
    By 1984, Queen was huge globally, but their '84 album 'The Works' was a commercial failure in the US.
    The same thing happened to Kiss in 1979 when a disco single 'I was made for loving you' became a huge hit single ... their rock fans did not approve, and subsequent albums failed to sell between 1980 and 1982.

    You should react to this song live at Wembley 1986 (preferably Friday night but Sat. is good too) to see what a showman he is and all his improvisations...it's fire!. React to PLAY THE GAME live at Milton Keynes, voice and piano playing are mad!!!

    This came out in 1980. My 81-82 High School Year. Our football team was kicking serious ass. At the end of every game our band would play this song. The closest score was us winning 31 - 14. That was our main rival our band followed them to the busses playing thia song along the way..lol And they were good. Just as good as Gramblings. That year every team of ours couldn't lose. We did just win we wiped them all. Football, Baseball, swim, diving track and field, band competitions, ROTC drill and rifle teams, hell even our cheerleaders science and debate teams won everything. After every event this song was played. No school in our area has done the same since.

    Fun fact: Michael Jackson was a very big Freddie Mercury found at the time and convince the band to release this song as a single where rights went on to become their biggest selling hit, at least in America anyways. The song wasn't popular with every member in the band especially the drummer Roger who considered it to be more in the style of dance music, which he did not care for

    Queen is arguably the best rock band of all time simply because they're unorthodox style of music you couldn't really stick them in one category and freddie mercury forget about it from his vocals to his showmanship there's not anyone I can think of who could stand next to him....
