As soon as he said “and when you keep moving , playing with it” my mouth jaw dropped open in realization.
Literally me but it’s also not all my fault the jewelry I got when it was pierced was too small and kept sinking into my nose and I paid a 100+ for this so I just was pushing it out cleaning it and putting a band aid a little over the hole under the stud to keep it from sinking in and here we are almost 5 weeks later with a keloid 😌
same 😭
Hahaaa same!!! This damn one bump I have on my industrial won’t go away!!!
@@saraaedwards6073 you paid 100 🙀🙀🙀
Me too! I fiddle with it all the time x
Imagine being this educated and this attractive. I could never. 😍
Mom omg :'))
Haha go to a College Campus in a sunny area...
Don’t you have a husband
Omg auntie🥺
Shoot ya shot thennnnn😩😩
Pure Tea Tree oil.from Walmart or Walgreens helped me. I washed my hands good then I put it on a q-tip 2 times a day. Morning and at night for a few days. Bump gone.
On my way! to Walgreens!!! Thanks
Did you also do the sea salt soak?
Tea Tree oil only my bump was gone in less than a week.
Gina Huston Hi...did you use it by it self? Or mixed it with another oil?
Caroline Stewart just the tree tea oil
Thank you so much for putting this up. It's detailed, to-the-point and cuts through all the crap about keloids on the internet.
Hey that's my piercer! I love him so much lol

this is honestly the most informative thing ive seen on cartilage piercing thank you so much
Right? Lol 😂 wild just wild
This guy helps me with all my piercings by just posting videos. He covers every subject I could possibly need for any of my piercings.
Amazing video!! Straight to the point, yet very comprehensive. Thank you SO much ❤️ I had a double nose piercing done right before our country went into full lockdown for covid and I've had a bump for over a fortnight now with no piercing to ask for help. Thank you again 😊
thank you for making this video. I'm 27 now and I've had gnarly hypertrophic scars on my cartilage on both sides ever since getting pierced in the mall when i was 15. and all the no-no's are exactly what i did at the time--i was turning my piercing, and dousing it with isopropyl alcohol every day as soon as the first bump formed because the piercer in our rural mall encouraged me to do that as aftercare. i had no idea. we're all really lucky that we can get education like this online now.
Thank you! I like the explanation and reasoning behind everything and clear answers while not claiming to know everything. This seems like sound advice and exactly what I was looking for and I definitely learned from it. Thank you!!!
2020 and still using this video as a reference!!! This is so helpful and it took my small bump on my nose away in just a week!!! Thanks so much!!
Thank you so much for this video!!! I was starting to panic that I'd have to get rid of my nose piercing but I followed your advice and the tea tree oil worked an absolute treat!!!!!
Great vid! I'm dealing with the dreaded "bubbles" with my conch punch and your explanations were really easy to understand. Keep 'em comin'!
Finally another piercer who is well knowledged , you are a breath of fresh air . Everything you said is exactly what i tell my clients daily. Theres so much information out there that is misleading and unsafe for clientele.
Thank God for your channel, thank you, this calms my anxiety over the tiny bump forming and how I can avoid it
this is so helpful! I got keloids my first time around and I now know what I did wrong it's almost fully healed! I can't wait to get my peiercing done again and do the proper things so that i can keep it in my ear! THANKS SO MUCH for these tips
I have had my nose pierced for about a month now and I have a bump out of nowhere from accidentally bumping it 🙄. This video helped soo much
Mia Elizabeth has it disappeared? And how did you treat it? Mine wont go away!!
same here, this is my 3rd nose piercing and it's the first time I'm having an issue!
liessiey I cleaned with anti-bacterial soap then used bactine. After applying the bactine I used tea tree oil to moisturize it
Mia Elizabeth okay thanks 🥰
@@prettyasmia did it work?
You are so descriptive I love it! My daughter has hit me at least three times in my nose and it’s forming a bump on the outside of my nose piercing ugh! So thank you for giving this information much needed👌🏾
These darn kids same w me
Thank you so much for the super informative video. My daughter got her ears pierced recently and is having nothing but problems. This will help her understand and treat the scar tissue she is dealing with!
Thaaaaank you for the helpful explanation of what it is! I have one on my cartilage piercing for almost a year and as I’m watching this vid and as you’re naming causes, “yup, I did that.”
Just want to SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! Much love!
THANK YOU!! I formed a keloid on my daith recently and it scared me since it was my first bump/issue and this reassure me a lot more!
Titan Dovah did it help it go away? I have 2 keloids on both sides of my daith
Titan Dovah both sides of mine keloided. What did you do?
Titan Dovah omg me too let me know what helped
I got it on both sides of my daith as well
Titan Dovah nice profile pic haha
This is one of the best and most relatable videos I've seen
Thank you so much! I feel like I was doing everything wrong so this video is very helpful.
You guys are super informative and helpful!
I just got my eyebrow recently pierced in February, and over time, I noticed this bump I haven't been able to get rid of! It has oozed, and is red. This video helped me out A LOT and I definitely feel a bit more educated on piercings.
first video with actual instructions THANK YOUUUU
I love this video! this is great I always see in groups people asking "what is this bumb on my piercing" I always tell them to use tea tree oil it helps my percings thanks for making this vid I will be sharing it in a lot of piercing groups!
Thank you so much for this video. Finally I’ve found a video that makes sense when talking about keloids. I have one on my cartilage from an industrial piercing and have been trying to get rid of it for months. Any help would be appreciated.
Lauren Woolnough same...legit sucks so bad
Man everything causes keloids I’m just going to get rid of this piercing
Beker Aguilar thats what i just did was sick of the keltoid so i took my nose ring out
BreeAnaRae I stopped cleaning it and it’s gone, I guess cleaning means touching it which kept causing the keloid. Showering will rinse the dirt away without touching it so I don’t clean it with my hands anymore
I thought i was crazy ! Every time I washed it how the piercer told me the little bump formed. But the second I stopped it was gone .. but as soon as I start washing it the way I was told it comes back again.
Akyia Martin so do you do anything for it? do you soak it or any of those things?
BreeAnaRae my keltoids basically gone the one on the outside is pretty much gone the one of the inside is still there but very small i used tea tree oil in the mornings at night but only on inside at night and used crushed up salt mixed with saline and put it over thr keltoid on the outside before bed and it took it away after a few days
this account gives me sm important info to take care of my piercings
Bless you for making this video, my navel that I had gotten done just over 3 months ago seems like a keloid is forming around the top ball which I believe was caused by snagging, which has happened a lot. I'm just thankful that I found this video and that I can help my piercing to heal properly.
I would fly to California for this guy to pierce me. Amazing!
I’ve been going through my keloid bump for about a month now and this is the most informative video I’ve come across, during my journey of research. Thank you!!
Hows it going now x
It went down a lot but never completely got rid of it. Some days are more visible than others. I just learned to deal with it because I’m not removing my piercing lol
@@Doneuproche Hì,
Just wondering how you got it yo go down and how big is it now ?
@@robertamoshe hi! Sorry for the late response I’m just seeing this; I ended up taking my nose ring out. The keloid is still there but after taking out the nose ring it shrunk drastically.
thank you so much. you're the first youtuber that is thorough. this is the info I have been looking for for a while. Subcribed.
This is super informative, thank you for listing solutions and why they work. You are great.
I've been getting my piercings done by him for a few years now. He's so sweet and does such a great job!
All of this is the exact opposite of what I got told when my ear was pierced!! I spun it every day just like they told me to and it took a year to heal, and got (mild) infections twice, they clearly didn't know what they were doing when they told me about aftercare. I'm really glad I convinced my friend to go to a different person when she got hers done, who knows what else could have gone wrong!!
Side note we lived in a really small town... with no internet access, I got mine done with a gun at the chemist, there was no way we could have known any better, I just told my friend not to do hers at the chemist off of a gut feeling that they didn't do it properly since it was taking so long to heal.
Thank you so much for posting this video, it saved my piercing!
I had trauma to my cartilage piercing after going to the beach and so I’m going to do this steps to heal the keloid that’s formed thank you for this video!
This was super helpful! Thank you!!!
I had my nose pierced twice, both had the bumps. I'm about to get it repierced, thank you for the video!
you are so intelligent and knowledgeable. i dont even have piercings and found this interesting. rock on!
How did you become so useful? [rhetorical question..] Just in comparison to piercers I've met you actually talk about whats up and how to deal with it. Nobody else takes the time? You are awesome.
THANK YOU! I keep snagging my nose piercing at night and it’s super discouraging. Every time I feel like the bump is getting better I end up accidentally scratching my nose or knocking it and it gets worse. :/ Definitely adding TTO to my regime.
thank you sir. this was very informative
Very knowledgeable and very articulate with piercing advice! Thank you for the video! ♥️🙏
Three years later! Thank you!!!!
Very helpful thank you I have a keloid on my nose ring and I use tea tree oil!
I’m so thankful I found this. I got keloids a few years ago from getting my ears pierced (at Walmart) and I’ve been looking for good info from a piercers perspective.
Yes me too!
Do you have an update?
Very informative video. I had something similar after getting my cartilage pierced. Thank you for the explanation, I had no idea what caused it until watching your video🤙
This video helped me so much. It put my mind at ease about my bump.
How am I supposed to soak my whole right nostril for 15 minutes... I’d drown
Breathe through your mouth
soak a cotton ball or pad an hold it there
I have never related so much to a comment in my life LOL
Brandon Degand lmao 🤣 I just came across this comment bc I think I’m getting a bump on my nose after I got my nose pierced 3 weeks ago and totally was thinking the same lol
😂😂😂😂😂
TY 4 EASING MY ANXIETY :) gonna start on teatree oil
Did it work?
I accidentally irritated my piercing by removing to clean and using super hot water to do so. Then I saw those bumps flare up right away. Before I came across this video, all of those articles I ran into were so scary to read. I was like doctor? surgery? seeing people again? Oh no, I was panicking for a moment. I prayed to God to help cause I was scared... then I ran into this video. So grateful for your knowledge, honesty and simplicity
Everything I wasn't supposed to do, I did🤦🏻♀️no wonder my bump got worse 😳and saw 👌🏻 zero improvement, thanks for those really great tips, I'm glad I found this vid. New subscribers 😉
Great explanation...when my piercer told me not to rotate my piercing, she never told me why. Now I know! I've had my piercing since summer and this is my second keloid bump! I thought it'd be healed by now. I will try your tea tree/salt soak suggestion and hopefully this thing will go down sooner than later. Thank you!
Casandra Smith did it work??
Any updates?
@@brisamedina7140 This absolutely worked for me and my daughter who also developed a keloid at the piercing site.
I was using tea tree oil and saw how dry my keloid was getting on my naval piercing and got a bit worried. Hearing this information is very reassuring and let’s me know that it’s doing its job! :)
Has it disappeared?
omg I got one on my navel piercing too and idk what to do… I’m pretty nervous. Idk if I should get it surgically removed or just try the tea tree oil first. any updates on your ?
@@harijukublackbarbie182 you should probably do the less expensive natural method first! lol
Thanks so much for this! You made me realize that I'm likely the reason my piercing is jacked up, but now I'm hopeful about fixing it!
This is the most helpful video I've found.
oh gosh, I always sleep with my studs, play with them a lot, and clean my piercings with alcohol, no wonder I got keloids often.
Thank you for this video! I'll stop doing these things from now on.
I've had my helix pierced twice and the bump came up both times, as well as my nose. I find using isocol (I live in Australia so its rubbing alcohol) really helpful to get rid of the bump
This video was insanely beneficial!! Thanks man!!
This helped so much! I got my nose pierced two days ago and I'm scared of getting a bump...I'm glad I'm cleaning it the correct way according to your vid thank you so much!!
I was to but I got a bump
I had a keloid on my tongue piercing that grew bigger and bigger and started hurting so I took my piercing out.
The keloid disappeared by itself but I dearly miss this piercing, now that I am more educated I will try again
(I started eating normally with it after only a week and used an anti bacterial mouth wash which was probably the wrong idea)
Thanks for the help!
I don’t play with my nose piercing only when I’m swimming and if falls out. I don’t know what to do I have a keloid and I’ve been using my stuff from my piercer to clean it but alcohol also does help and I do sleep on it. But thank you for this. 🌹
Going swimming is bad for you. The chlorine in pools is what also gets it infected
try a corkscrew and swimming is really bad for an already problematic piercing
Thank you for uploading this video! Very informative
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! 🙏🏼 so informative!!
Thank you for this i’ve been struggling with a keloid on my nose piercing and have been using tea tree oil which has helped a bit but now it doesn’t seem to be working so it’s good to know that it can be harmful if it gets inside the piercing because i didn’t know that, it could be what is making it worse
this is the best video ive ever seen on hypertrophic scarring, lmfao. thank you for posting this!
thank you so much! i just started developing a heloid and this has helped great :))
Extremely helpful and information filled video! Thank you!
I treat many ear-piercing keloids surgically in my practice both earlobes and cartilage piercings. I can say with certainty that the huge majority are NOT caused by errors or technical issues on the part of the piercing professional but are part of the person's predisposition to healing on the ear area.
yes yes this is very true! coming from a medical professional what did you think of the rest of the advice in the video with the tea tree oil stuff? i’m a bit worried about keloids since i have a genetic link but still want to get piercings!
I have a very large keloid scar on my chest, do you think if I get a piercing in my earlobe it will become a keloid?
my bump is behind my helix and i have a flat back stud in, so picking the dry skin off might be hard. will rinsing it off work too?
Great advice! I’m going to try it tomorrow!
ugh thank you for this, i love your videos !
this video says the healing time for a nose piercing is 2-3 months, when you google it the healing time is 4-6 months and my piercer said it should be good to change within 6 weeks, so I’m totally confused
stockholmalum depends on how you heal. Some people heal faster, others don't. I had a nose piercing and on the 3rd month of having it it was still sensitive. I took it out bc I had a job interview and placed a retainer and when I wanted to put my stud back in it still hurt a lot.
Also I was allergic to the surgical steel stud that I got pierced with so that slowed down my healing. It caused irritation and it didn't get better until I switched to a 14k gold stud. After that my nose started healing better.
Right my piercer said two weeks wtf
it depends on your healing mine healed in 3 weeks and my piercer said about 8 weeks so it just depends
Mine healed completely as in to the point where I can take it out with no pain at all in about 3-4months
Piercing for 17 years? This guy doesn't look any older than 30!
He looks 27 or 26.
He could have had his first job at 16.. lol I doubt hes only 30
He looks much older bc of the grey hair on the side of his head
He looks like he's in his 40 lol.
exactly
Got a side neck tattoo and my first industrial/piercing the next day for my 42nd bday. I feel like tattoo care easier, thankfully im a murse (male nurse) and wound care is right up my alley!
I'm so glad I watched this video because I was fed up and about to take this piercing out. I admit i was using alcohol and other harsh cleansers which was making things worse. Going to treat my naval keloids this way. Thanks a mil for the info.
Hi how is it now?, so stressed of mine
Hey thank you for the tips, within a week it went way down by 90%. My was cause by trauma, after the second time it got snagged it formed immediately. The 3rd time it got snagged it was way worst. Day 4 or 5 i went to apply the tea tree oil using a q-tip a huge chunk of dried skin was removed. I have too long of nails that i had to use a q-tip to apply. Ot was tough the first couple days not strong progress but i stuck to it knowing it won't be instant. I soaked for 10 min after work apply oil than in the morning applied oil before leaving for work and viola it is 99% gone in a week. Thank you for the video
i know this is a common method, but i swear by aspirin!! i had a keloid on my helix and i mixed 3 aspirin tablets with a drop of cooled boiled water to make a thick paste and applied and left for about 20/30mins. within 3/4 days it had nearly disappeared!
Lisa Howe do you have a problem with them coming back
Lisa Howe do you know if this works on Like sever keloids? I have pretty big bumps behind my ears and it’s really embarrassing
Gabi Maza that's when you need surgery to get it removed
Tianna Stenson I tried surgery for mines and it grew back faster and it got bigger. It even has a scar and its really embarrassing.
Gabi Maza keloids are keloids no matter where on the body so it should work
Distilled water salt soak totally worked on a 10+ year old industrial that was irritated after i tried to change jewelry out- THANK YOU SO MUCH IT WORKS IF YOU STICK TO IT
this was so informative, thank you
I keep on twisting the piercings out of habit 😭 now I have a fat bump at the back of my helix piercings 🤧
Hanna Walsh same except on my nose! 😂
Hanna Walsh omggg me too 😪
jennie were you able to get rid of it?
jennie did you get rid of it?
Girl same... i did it so much I have a big ole hole AND A BUMP.
Thank you finally someone’s house makes sense
Thank you so much!!!! You were very clear!
This is the most helpful video ever 😭😭😭😭
i’m going to start doing soaks, and if that doesn’t work i’ll use tea tree oil. thank you so much for the video :)
did the soaks work or did the tea tree oil work
i have keloids on tongue webbing piercing, i’ve always cleaned it every day since i got it but about after a couple of weeks they formed and nothing is making them go... it’s not a massive issue because you can’t see unless i lift up my tongue but if anyone has any tips that would be super helpful x
I just learned something new and thanks for posting this video on here and I never had this to happen at all and I am from South Georgia USA and I see you are a long ways from me since you are from California and I did live in Las Vegas 7 years ago and I move back to Georgia
Yes Use the H2O Ocean spray it works wonders!! Went away in 2 weeks .
This is just what I’ve been looking for. I never keloid or scar but my nose ring got that bubbly effect after getting snagged on a bath towel. I had my piercing for almost 3 months before this happened. I’m going to try this out and hopefully it’s gone before this dinner party 😩
I’ve literally done everything! I’ve done a piercing solution, warm salt water soak, tee tree oil, and aspirin. I’ve literally lost all hope I’ve had my piercing since October.
Hannah Paine sane! I’m going to try raw honey
Just go to the doctor. They’ll give you a special antibiotic and it goes away like in 3-5 days. Trust me. I gave up to at one point.
Consistent cleaning is key. I get them too but sticking to proper cleaning helps a lot and really it’s a matter of waiting it out
Way more helpful than anyone else
This was very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks so much I hope my cartilage doesn't get a keloid
I have an industrial piercing, and I’m starting to get bumps on both ends! I wanna know if I could clean and treat my bumps while my piercing is still in my ear? Could I?
Thank you so much for this video! It helped me soooo much.
This video was so helpful! Just got a nose piercing a couple weeks ago, and have a slight bump. Thank you so much!
