Can you incorporate pictures on the topic. Visual will be really helpful.
I agree
everytime I wanna get a new piercing and I don't know a lot of it. I come to this channel!! so educative, thank you dude. Now I can go and find a good place to get that dermal
So calming when he says "okay", I feel so safe hahaha
When he says don’t use q-tips or cotton balls....... O.O
Lmaoo me rn 4y later 😅😂
I got a dermal on my sternum and I love it, I used salt water soaks and sometimes a little saline. I got it November 2018 and it was fully healed like in January 2019, I haven’t changed the top but I hope to soon. I forget about it sometimes lol and the pain was about a 2-3 out of ten and only felt sore for like 3-4 days after I got it done. It doesn’t really get caught on any clothes witch was something I was worried about but if you plan on getting one, I recommend it🙌🏻
I’ve pulled on it my accident like only two times in the shower and the pain was not bad at all. I was just kinda of like oh snap😬 but it was fine.
I have to use this sea salt with water two times a day every day?
Do you still have the piercing? If so how is it?
One of the best informative videos I’ve seen on pincering
This was SO informative and helpful!!! Thank you!
This was SO helpful. Thank you so much!
Matt i like your videos cause they are very informative and helps when i consider a piercing
I love this. Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'm ready now. Wanting this piercing done. I also shop with them too. Love the mm sizes make it stretch easier. I'm stretching to 18mm today. 🤗🤗
This is awesome can’t find a lot of info on these!!
Wow the piercer who did my dermal did not tell me any of this. Unfortunately it did get slightly infected but with this channel I feel like I’m on the right track to healing it.
He's so cute! Thx for all the info. Literally just got mine done today, double face dermals and have heard so much opposing advice. Use antibacterial soap, just use saline solution, use q-tips, dont use, etccccc.
This was so helpful! Thank you!
really appreciate the video. much love fam
I love this. 2017, "dermal punch is outdated" "we almost all use needles". End of 2019 and I can find no one using a needle and the one I got was done with a punch.
Wish I saw this sooner. I don't know where you live but in VA, I found a shop in Richmond that does needles for dermal anchors. The shop is called Lucky 13.
@@YaaliEboni omggg thank you i’m in va looking for a place for my birthday
@@trinc3727 Oh no problem! That's the only shop I know that does needle.. It's $60 there for microdermal. I have to get mine redone, it was the only piercing that rejected for me.
If you don't already own one, buy a shot glass for the salt water soaks and be very patient with your body. THEN SHOW OFF THAT PIERCING!
Iv had 2 dentals done 3 different times in 3 different states, never rejected 2 were taken out for mri, and I swear iv only ever seen a dermal punch lol never a needle
I just got mine done a couple days ago my piercer used the needle poke method.
Very informative. I’ve been getting dermal piercings since 2007 they were just coming out at the time. Each and every one rejected from this video I’ve learned how to properly clean them.
Can you use gauze to clean them with? X
Omg! So I got a dermal using the punch method and after 7 months it rejected yesterday. I cleaned with saline and a qtip this whole time. Everything u said to do with aftercare I was not told at all 🤦🏽♀️ I’m so upset 😭 I wish I knew u so u could redo it for me lol thank you for this video!
Thanks for this. Have dermals in dimples in shoulders, first slight infection after 1 year. Shout out to Lizl, Body Architects, Cape Town South Africa.
The biopsy punch was kind of the reason why I managed to finally get a piercing :p Severe needle phobia.
Got one yesterday, going back to get two more tomorrow; this video was super helpful!!!!
Did you ever get more how are they doing ?
Really good info! Thank you!
It’s good to know about piercings like this and know which piercings are safe and which ones are not
Got my back dimples next year. Love them...and so does everyone else!
hey xx, how much pain rating was it?
Just had mine done near my eye. Absolutely amazing video and very informative.
Thats exactly what I would like. How's it going?
He puts out some great informational videos 👍🏼
I just got a dermal on my face today, this is so helpful, thank you.
I just got two done today. And dumbass me watched this waaaaay later. But I did use a qtip for the first cleaning. As I was told by my piercer. But now I know and will continue to do it right!
Same I got 2 on my chest 4days ago and the guy used a dermal punch to pierce me, told me I could use q-tips to clean it and said Neosporin was a good call 😭😰
Did they heal well?
u in Houston?
@@Oso96637 i think the guy in the video is talking about neosproin the OINTMENT not the cream, my piercer told me to use to cream cause it will absorb into the skin, meanwhile the ointment would just sit there collecting dust & bacteria
Wow thats good to know! I got mine done on my chest and the piercer recommended bactine but im definitely trying the salt water solution. ive tried it before with my ear piercing when it got infected and it worked really well
How did it went?
Thank u!!!!!! I didn't know about the bactine!
Thank you so much for this video! My piercer didn't tell me crap . And he DUG that hole bad bro. Hope it heals ight!
For facial salt soaks, an empty baby food jar (cleaned and sanitized) works perfect.
Thanks!
Thanks!!
So helpful thank u!
thank you so so much for this video
I got mine done about a month ago I love it! They used a dermal punch and i bandaged it up at night for a week. I clean it with a salt solution spray that they sell at the shop. I now clean around it with a antibacterial liquid soap they provided along with spray twice a day. I take baths and showers fyi!
Do you still have it and are you happy with it did it ever get infected ?
So what do you use other than a q tip? Do you still have it?
So prefessional
What REALLY helped with me was putting salt water in a spray bottle and no touching and just spraying
I just got mine today both on the sides of the front of my hip! I got them in opal and they look amazing!!!!!! They're beautiful
Thank you for this video. I got my first dermal piercing today & now I understand the procedure & aftercare so much better. I want it to last so I will baby it ...
How did it go?
Love and appreciate you bro
You are an awesome guy!!!!
Omggg. I just got mines today in the center of my neck area. I love it. ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍 just hoping everything works out well so far as the healing process.
Taylor Richmond how is it coming along now? I want Mine done. Is it worth the try so far??
How has ur dermal healed??
Tashia Keith my neck dermal between my colour bones, it rejected a little but stoped is a bit of the bar is showing, but it’s not healing the best atm, it’s got a bump around it form irritation atm but I think it’s going to be okey
just got mines last night
I also use the pointy ingrown tool to pull hair that gets caught. After I clean it will saline. I'll try salt water compress thank you!
I’ve had my hip dermals for yearssss (10) to be exact and they’ve alwaysss gotten infected and now I know why. I will try the salt soak solution thing hope it works thank you this was helpful
Did it work?
Very good informational video 👍🏽
thanks for the feedback ! it's always much appreciated and we will be updating all our info videos here soon 😉
Love my dermals so glad i went with this instead of the anti eyebrow
Thank God for your advices! I will save a rejection!
I got a dermal a few months ago on my tattoo love it. Wondering will
It eventually fall out
Thanks for that advice because mine fell off the top part
Very helpful and informative. U 🎸.
Just did mines 2 days ago and was worried about after care. Thanks for all the tips.
I offer dermals at my shop, and I find clients either have the last like years or they are only in for about 1 to 4 months and they start to just reject and come away, some of these clients say they got it caught others say they don't but I know they might be sleeping on it or whatever. I jsut find it's such a heard piercing to get people to look after this then makes me feel like a bad piercer because people don't listen 🙄 I make clients aware that it's so important to keep it shielded, covered for so long to allow it to heal or not using tight clothes that kind of thing but I see them doing it 😂
You just explained my rejection! My Microdermal rejected and it had to be removed. The jewelry had those fibres you mentioned. I might give Microdermals another try, but I would want it permanently this time.
contrabassoon dermals are never permanent
Thank you for the info I’m getting one today but if he does the puncher I’ll wait lol I want the needle method I don’t want a bigger scar than it has to be 😇😉
Thank u the guy who did my percing did not explain it to me
Is there a "timeline" for a dermal? I've heard that some people can keep it for years and then some say that it will last only two years or so....? I have been thinking about getting it done for a long time now.. I have eyebrow, snakebites and bridge piercings.. they all healed very nicely and didn't swell or have any issues, very little pain... How much facial expressions affect on dermal?
Thanks so informative I want to ask about size of dermal punch used for piercing
got my dermal done for friday the 13th last month but it was yanked halfway out while i was asleep a week or two after. my piercer suggested we wait a month for it to heal then repierce it (same spot)
I just got it repierced and a couple things to take note of while it’s healing:
- wear a bandaid to bed every night to avoid it getting caught on anything
-dont touch it, push it, play with it, etc bc it will move out of place and heal in an awkward position
How did yours heal? I’m gonna get mine Friday and I like to sleep on my side but I’m sacrificing not being able to sleep on my right side just so I have one lol, if it comes down to it because I don’t wanna tug it
How long should you keep your dermal anchor bandaged/covered for?
Super helpful 👌 👍
Can I get a dermal done on top of a scar that’s in basically the same place the piecing would go?
He suggest dermal punching method is outdated. After I just had one done by piercer for my dermal. Wish I knew. I’ll let him know.
Your awesome thank you 😊🙏🏼
What state are you located in? I would totally love to come to you for any future piercings, dermals and tattoos!
Would you recommend dermals instead of regular piercing on the cheeks ?? Or actually, none of them 😅?
THANK YOU👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
I just got another dermal by my eye my last one i had years ago rejected i was cleaning with a qtip so probably why it didnt last long at all im doin exactly what you just said this time around just salt soak compress just got it about a week ago the piercer told me to keep a round band aid on it for the first week tomorrow will be 7 days now .
Aww damn I wanted this so bad but I'm scared lol. Very informative.
it doesn't hurt at all! get it ur gonna love it!!
@@bobabawddie9949 I really want it too
Mine was healing great but I got lazy with my aftercare right after it was healed and now it’s infected. Do I just ramp up on the aftercare routine again or any other recommendations? Thanks guys.
Hey Matt, just wondering is it possible to have these since I am into fitness. You know just working out generally. Not anything like bikini modeling, or body building. How can that workout for me.
Medusa Sweet
U can have them while u workout. There is no ill effects- just clean the area well!!:)
What happens when your dermal top gets cross threaded and can’t get it out
Thank you...
So how do you clean the gunk out from under the dermal top? A toothpick?
Dang that’s exactly what happened to my face dermal. I was flatting the end of q tips to clean around it, the piercer I use to work with never told me not to do that. What about the h20 sea salt spray for piercings? I used it when I got my navel pierced when I was 17 and it seemed to work well, just have heard so many back and forths about it during my 8 year career in the tattoo industry.
H20 is fine. It's just saltwater in a can lol
love watching this right AFTER the piercer used a dermal punch on me. great
In 2023???? DO NOT GO BACK TO HIM EVER AGAIN
Can you get a dermal anchor on your chin? I want that area pierced but don't want the teeth damage....
Got 2 in my forehead about a month ago and was told to use hydrogen peroxide with a cotton bud 😒 wish I seen this before I got it done, now its slightly sticking out when it was super flat when I got it done...gutting man
Hows it going?
Can u use epi/number when piercing the neck? So it won't bleed as much?
I previously had a Surface piercing and since removed it about 2 years ago. Question...Am I able to get a anchor piercing where or near that piercing? It was a sternum piercing btw. Also I’ve had 2 anchor piercing before but they did reject :( which is why I tried the surface bar.
Can you do a video on how to remove and do without a dermal punch please
Hello 😊I'm wanting a Dermal, so if I get one can I smoke, drink with it after having it done?? 😊
I got mine pierced. Wish I knew this before getting it. She used a punch thing to my body. And she did it 3 times in that one area. And push the dermal far in. My chest is in pain. Horrible feeling. I am taking care of it. I don’t see any infection as of YET. 😒. I am cleaning it with antibacterial soap. But imma use the after care salt spray I got in the blue can. And I also got the middle of my chest pierced between my breast area. She used the skinny PLASTIC instead. And place the balls on it. She said doctors use it? Was that okay? Or do I need to take that out ?
What about the crust that forms on the dermal underneath? because when I soaked it, it wouldn't naturally come off I'd have to take it off with a toothpick.
I have a permanent chest piercing and one of the diamond turned green how can I clean it off plz someone tell me. It turned green after they gave me a tea pad to use after that it went green how can I clean it out
Just change my dermal after 3 years and got infect smh on my healing process I did the band aid method it’s cool but burn my skin so would have to change direction of the bandaid
So I use Neil med wound wash for all of my peircings would that work for my dermal?
So I got a dermal on my cheekbone two days ago. The first day I left the bandaid on and after 24 hours I took it off to clean it. It’s a little raised and tilted and has dry blood crusts underneath where it’s raised a little. Is this normal? I’ve been trying saline salt soaks with a paper towel for a good bit but is there anything else I can do? I’m thinking maybe the dry crusts are making it tilt
I had mine 5 months but it looks like I must take it out 2 months ago I hit it to the left and know it's not healing and we try to put it back in places but it cream looking stove coming out of eat .no mether how much I clean it...
I got a microdermal in my forehead today, and it was done with a punch. Now I'm worried😭😭
Would you recommend putting tea tree oil on a dermal ? I had mine for 3 months no problems and all of a sudden it’s red and feels sore . I tried the sea salt but it’s not really doing anything
Yes ma’am!! I was told by my friend (whose my professional tat/piercing artist) he said it’s best if we only use tea tree oil & salt water on our dermals!❤️ I hope you got it figured out
I’m so slow it popped out and I’d didn’t get it popped back in 🤦🏽♀️
I can't remember the name of the movie but he reminds me of the guy in the movie that said "You pick it we stick it" lol 🤣
Son-in-law
It was Flea, the bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Yeah, in son in law starring Paul Shore.
That’s not true. I googled it and it say. When a dermal piercing is done with a punch, the pouch is made in a different way. ... Microdermal piercings are more commonly performed using a dermal punch because the punch is less painful. It is also safer than a needle because it has a protective mechanism that prevents the piercing from going too deep into the skin.Feb 15, 2019
I got mine done by a surgeon lol so he literally numbed the whole area and used a needle I didn’t feel a thing I got 3 done lower abdomen I only have issues with one it get infected because I never clean them but I totally will start cleaning them from now on
Nik yeah you have to clean all your piercings. Thanks
Are you supposed to have a bandaid on it right after piercing? And if so how long do you keep it on?
My piercer said 24 to 48 days
Should you start with the soaks since day 2??
I just got two dermal anchors on my nape last Thursday. The bottom one is a little red and sore. What should I do?
How long after a eye dermal do I have to wait to put makeup on
Umm I have blood under my piercing and it’s kinda lifting up on one side I know that once I get the blood off it’ll level out with a lil bit of pressure buttttt idk how I’m gonna get it if I can’t use a q tip
@urbanbodyjewlery does this also work for dermal punches?
So.... I got my dermal done yesterday and I’ve been using q tips and alcohol to clean it and now I’m freaking right out....... like, anxiety ridden shit. I guess I wait and see how it turns out
Fat Haley my piercer told me to use alcohol on mine too.. now I’m freaking out
Minxy Cries oh no no no never use alcohol 😭💀!
