- I stepped it up a notch and decided to do an extreme version of my previous water test. The results kinda shocked me.

Spoiler alert: For the record I had the iPhone 6S in and out of liquid nitrogen and it still worked like a charm after..so that’s why this was a major disappointment for me.

I dropped my galaxy a5 2017 (Canadian Samsung midrange phone that is basicly an s6 mixed with an s8) in some snow and couldn't find it for 2 and a half weeks. Eventually I got it back fully working with 7% battery left.

I'm planning to put my iphone x into the water but I always forgotten!😂
Obviously it's an extreme condition that most would never find their phone in (frozen for 12 hours). All the same, I'm not surprised at all to see that Samsung seems to have the better build quality for such an extreme condition. Probably not something most should ever really even consider when buying their phone, but i think it speaks to a greater truth: Apple charges more for inferior products. If you love their ecosystem, that's awesome, by all means keep with what makes you happy, your phone almost certainly will never be frozen anyway. I've just always been wary of what Apple is peddling, and as demonstrated here, there is legit reason to be so.

I assumed I had washed them, but checked them just to see and they worked, which shocked me, but then I realized there was a day I got ready for the gym but didn't go. Guess they still would've worked even if I had washed them. I'm just glad I didn't throw them away immediately when I thought they'd been washed. They're the best earbuds I've heard.
