During March'2024, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway was not operational, so we took the car to the Babbacombe beach. The road was extremely steep during the last 2-3 minutes of the journey (just before reaching the Babbacombe Car Park) and I felt a rush of adrenaline merely by the looks of the road ahead. This feeling was similar to riding a scary roller-coaster for me; I am not joking! However, it is strictly off-limits by wheelchair.
However, the view from the level promenade was absolutely stunning; I am not exaggerating a bit. We walked on the South West Coast Path towards the Oddicombe beach, which was also quite adventurous with wooden bridges over the sea, strange rock formations (SSSI), passing by waterfalls and sometimes jumping over them. It was getting darker and we started returning soon. We surprisingly spotted a seal catching its prey and were simply spellbound with the antics. A hidden gem, I will say :)
